An interesting tip about your greyed out players.

Did you know that every newly generated player is based off another player? That includes your youth academy players, other youth academy players, regens/newgens and of course, your greyed out reserve players.

But those greyed out players take it to another level. Some of their attributes are copy and pasted straight from the players they are based on! 

For example, look at this greyed out player here. 

Now take note of his Aerial, Aggression, Leadership, Pace, Stamina and Strength. These are the attributes that i have noticed are copy pasted.(Note that Aerials DO NOT remain the same for goalkeepers as it technically is a stat that will grow naturally for a goalkeeper.)

So search for players that have those exact stats

Maybe you might want to also search for his footed-ness for additional accuracy. 

And voila! We have found our man! 

So apparently my greyed out reserve player is actually based off Gael Clichy and hopefully will grow to be as good as him. 

Go on, try it out for yourself but do take note that you do not have to exactly search for all 6 attributes and their footed-ness. I normally just search for the exact physical attributes, and then if I still have too many players to sort thru, I'll add in another attribute or two. Also, searching for goalkeepers is a bit different as the Aerial attribute might vary, so keep that in mind.

I've known this little tip for about a month now but I was waiting for FMM 2019 to come out to share this. I hope this tip helps you guys out. 

Edit: Totally forgot about it but, the Technique and Teamwork attributes are copy pasted too! ALSO, DO NOT SEARCH FOR AERIALS AT ALL, they seem to be kinda of bugged.

Not really I don't think their PA would match. Probably just a way to regenerate random greyed out players because every time they change

Perhaps they are exact replicas with the same PA and all or maybe not. I can only hope, but they are replicas in terms of how their attributes and positions are spread out. 

Actually there might be a way to see if they are exact replicas, but i need someone with a in-game editor to help me here. 

Promote the greyed-out player and then check the PA of both the greyed-out player and the player he is based off. 

But I'll need a IGE for that. If only there was someone kind out there who is willing to help...

Hmm, that's really interesting. I'm glad to see that actually, it means there is still a possibility for the player to grow and become world class if their PA went up 

No way to tell unless I use an IGE, which is just the way I like it. Overall it is still worthwhile to sign a few greyed-out players in the hopes they become world beaters. 

Thanks for shedding some light on this whole thing, really helped everyone gain some insight on our often overlooked reserve players.

You can use Pace, Stamina and Strength, yes. But you can also use Technique, Teamwork, Leadership and Aggression. 

I recommend using only physicals to search first and if you still have too many players to sort thru then you use the other attributes or you can narrow down the search by checking the main position and their footed-ness(e.g. green right and orange left)

I did have a feeling about this a few games ago when I found a player that matched Ryan Giggs positions. Good to find out that's what they do.

Cool! Do update if you manage to grow them to be world class. Meanwhile I'll work on my Scottish Kroos to see if he's a dud or a star. Also I want to ask if your coaches report on those players PA matched up with their actual Pa or if there was a huge difference between both.

Pace, Stamina and Strength should work. You can add on Leadership and Aggression if you want to narrow down the search. 

DO NOT USE AERIALS. The reason is that for goalkeepers aerials is a attribute that grows naturally, so it will be different. Also just in general don't search aerials, as I've noticed that the search doesn't work properly sometimes if you search aerials.

On FMM18 at teams with top class facilities, Man Utd, Spurs, Man City i offered all contracts and a few grew to be absolute beasts - not had anything similar in FMM19 yet though
