I am finally finally finished reading through everything up to here! I had to read some bits two or three times (like the part where Newcastle win the Champions League for the first time! 😄). 

Absolutely great work. Thanks for winning all those trophies for Newcastle - that warmed my ❤️

Glad to see that Pedro held up okay and didn't let the side down. Pretty happy that Neymar came to Newcastle (who could imagine). But that Vinicus season was the most amazing thing I've seen! Great work! 

Only a season or two to go now, finish it off strong mate! 🙂

Thanks. This save has been pretty enjoyable. The amount of different strikers you get to use is massive. The Vinicius season was definitely a milestone with Vardy and Haller's season coming close.  Looking to wrap this up in a season or two. This was our away leg in the semis against the mighty Bayern Munich and we were totally humiliated 6-3. I had thought that our journey would end this season but come home leg,

and we give them back. Unbelievable. Valera puts in an insane performance hitting a hattrick in 13 minutes of brilliance to book our place in finals but,

only to lose the finals in a fucking shootout, also to my previous club. What an anti-climax!!!!

We needed 48 goals in the season to wrap this up but could Valera be the man??

Hell yeah!!! He smashes 53 as we wrap this up in our 20th season.

Conclusion:

This was an immensely enjoyable career and for my first career to have over close to 10,000 views, i was absolutely delighted. Thanks to all of you who commented and followed this regularly, Your feedback and views kept me going.

Most enjoyable thing of the save: The thing i was most happy about is that i managed to finish this without using any regen though sometimes the inclination would be very high which also lead to the most disgusting thing,

Most difficult thing of the save: To recruit your veteran every time. It has to be the most cumbersome thing to do as after almost countless offers, one would agree making this task the most time consuming.

 

So, all in all this was a great start to FMM 19 for me. Thank you once again to all who followed and supported this through comments or views. See you all soon and wish you a merry christmas and a very happy new year.

Just got up to speed on the last few seasons. It has been a most enjoyable career to follow my friend. Really glad you managed to complete the 1K without regens  

What was your standout season(s)?  The first big score by Vardy sticks in my mind. 

Is the AI managing the older players any better in FMM19? (In 18 they were off to regen land at about 32/33)

Thanks @URz. Vardy was definitely the standout season but then Vinicius Jr. blowed it away. Never expected to break my first 100 with a 34 yr old. 

Yes, that was the most satisfying thing to complete this without regens although recruitment every season became a Herculean task, especially the last 4-5 seasons. The AI is marginally better from 2018 in that you will get 34 years old in abundance but most of the time you will face rejections. Even Newcastle at the end which became a world class club could not attract top talent and i had to really dig deep to get my veteran.

This save has been pretty enjoyable and i have something in works which will see the light soon. Also i will be eager for your next career @URz
