One question: I'm doing a 1K on myself on the DL. I notice that seasons start disappearing (currently no player's history goes back further than 14/15); have you ever noticed something similar? I'm afraid my player's history will soon be affecting too and I'll have to start counting myself...

Ive had it happen last year, and I’ve just checked my current season in this save and his first season stats have disappeared, so his stats only accumulate from the 19/20 season 🙁

iirc it’s the game essentially freeing up space from older seasons. Which is absolutely ridiculous as it’s a 30 year career and the game should record the whole 30 years

So then your total tally is preserved nonetheless? Because last year it dropped for me as the history disappeared

No, the season that disappeares’s History is also wiped from the total tally. Luckily for me I do seasonal updates so my evidence is there for all to see. @danovic78 had it happen to him last year iirc and he didn’t have any screenshots from the missing seasons. 

Its a real shame either way at the end of the day as there’s no warning you when or if it’s going to happen

Season Sixteen

Welcome back to season sixteen of Fábio Silva’s journey to 2000 goals. I still can’t believe that this save is proving as popular now as it did when I first posted, massive thank you to everyone who’s viewed or commented on it for that. We’re nearing the end of the road here with Silva surely able to smash down the set target. Without further ado, let’s see how the team got on this season.

Transfers:-

I had a bit of an overhaul this season with several names leaving the club, most notably, De Ligt moves to Inter in his twilight years as I opt to sign a quality defender with fresh legs in his place. 

Jens Will is that defender, and he will slot straight into my back line for the remainder of this career. We spent some serious money this season with £96m man Kaspari being the biggest name. A natural right winger, he will surprisingly play second fiddle to first choice winger Luis Caleir. Money well spent eh? 😛

• League Cup - Beat Maritimo 3-0
• Taça de Portugal - Beat Maritimo 1-1 (2-4 Penalties)
• League - Our best scoring season to date if I remember correctly. Scoring a massive 125 goals, conceding just 21 gives on top of that gives us a massive goal difference of +104
• Champions League - We make it back to back European crowns with a 6-0 mauling of Lyon in the final

Fábio Silva 2k Challenge:-

Here we are, what we all came here to see. With it being a World Cup year there were plenty of International games to get through, including some very tasty friendlies against some of the weaker African teams. That reflected on Silva’s international tally as he scores a very respectable 27 goals which leaves him on....what..6 International goals! What the hell is this sorecery?! 😳 Ah, never mind it’s only the international goal counter resetting itself after reaching its max. After a brief chat with @Scratch he did confirm that the counter resets at 256 goals. So any goals on his tally from now on simply needs 256 added on top, so he’s effectively now on 262 goals.

“Stop rambling Nuke! What about his club goals?!” 

Well at club level Silva was absolutely nailing it and was on course for a 120+ season which would have been excellent. “Would have” is the key phrase there as disaster struck at the end of January and he missed 2 months of the season through injury, he’d only just returned from a 2 week lay off too so this one hurt, especially at such a busy time of the season. As you can see from his progress page, he missed a decent chunk of the season.

Not to fear however, as his early season scintillating form was enough to see him score 90 goals for the campaign in 48 games. Superb return from the big man after being knocked back on a couple of occasions. I’d also like to point out that his stats from the first season have disappeared so the total you see on his history page is not a true total anymore 😥 (See conversation above with @Jens for the full details on that)

Remaining - 325

Shame but he pulled off a stunner regardless so I’m not fussed, so long as it doesn’t become a recurring thing

Yes I’ve noticed quite often you can get a good young player but the coaches often only rate them 3 stars or something but they still get good green and perform well. Must be poor mental attributes I suppose but it doesn’t seem to effect their performance.

He’s by far the best son I’ve ever unlocked. Most of them turn out rubbish! @Foxy had a good one last year in his Teutonic treble career. His mental attributes stand out for me to be honest. He’s aggressive with high decision making, always in the right position and has high leadership. Perfect CB! 😁 teamwork let’s him down but I don’t play an offside trap so that’s one less thing to worry about

Sorry I meant hidden attribute as to why the coach might not rate him. I’ve never managed to unlock it myself. Will hopefully soon in a save.

No. It’s an unlockables. You need to have any player retire at your club after more than ten years of service. As soon as they retire you get your “son” come through the academy 😁

You have to buy the player yourself if you're to unlock your son. Can't be a player who was at the club before you. (Also works with a player who joined the club irl in the window when the game starts.)

I hope you backed up the save when he appeared for a follow up to your CB 1kc 😛

As for the challenge I've just caught up and this is very impressive, like I said in private I'm struggling to get into these saves as a player or a follower of late but this is certainly inspiring! 

3 seasons and you're home and dry celebrating like a champ haha, all the best!
