Tactics The possession hoarder! EME 4-1-3-1-1 asymmetric

I was just searching through tactics of last years fm to see which one would still be effective and I came across one possesion tactic and I tried it and tweaked it a bit.I was amazed at the result of how much possession I had and as you all know possession wins games😬 until your opponent goes overload late in the game and you end up conceding 2 or 3 goals in the last 10 minutes. With this tactic I tend to change the mentality to counter and and to waste time in the last 15 minutes to counter those annoying corner and screamer late goals the AI always get. Give this formation a try and show me your results in the comments. Below are the tactic, my results and matches.

You can try it will lower leagues and it would be effective but expect low scoring games because it give a lot of clean sheets

I just tried this in 2 matches.... I won both so I know it’s not too bad but I ended up having less possession in both games and I only won by a goal in both and this is meant to be a possession tactic

I changed the mentality to counter and got this resulta whooping 185 passes from sergi samper and 89 passes from Paqueta I had a shot though which is bad when it comes to attacking but I love the possession numbers and I hardly concede

I've actually had a game where one of my players had 0 passes. He played the entire game...

He was a striker, played 2 up front. Probably was a greedy bastard who kept shooting because he scored as well.

I did and the results were... underwhelming. I did hit 100+ passes a few times so that was cool but overall, the formation lacked bite on the attacking side. While keeping possession, the team barely generated any shots or CCCs, and also struggled to break down defensive teams. 

I didn't buy any players so I tried to replicate your formation with existing ones preferring higher teamwork and passing. 

Here are the results: I ran each preseason friendly twice and the super cup three times.

Interestingly, in this first matchup, the DLP/AP combo had the most passes. That wasn't always the case.

 

0 goals and only 4 SOGs over 180 minutes against a 2nd division team that lined up in a defensive shell. A ton of passes from defenders (???) for some reason.

Another defensive setup. 4 SOGs again. And unlike the Malaga matches, here we barely hit 60 passes in two attempts.

This one went 120 minutes against a feisty Sevilla with a lucky goal on the 119th minute.

Never had a chance in these two...

Finally beat Citeh with this one. For defensive teams use Direct passing or Run at Defence option. Works for me!

Won't the prolonged 'Disciplined' Creative Freedom leave a negative concern on most of your more creative players? Last year; they thought I was "an arrogant know-it-all" hahaha

In FMM18 when i made this tactic i used to get 60-70% possession every match.It was solid in defence.I dont know about Fmm19 whether it works or not.But my advice would be if you need goals then switch the mentality as desired.You'll see the change.

The tactics is not effective anymore it plays poorly against stronger sides
