Help What does this button do?

I’ve never been able to figure it out so it’s probably obvious but, what does the little ‘dash’ button on the match screen do?!

It's for replays

It is actually the timeline of the match. It will display how far into each match have you played with a green line below the score line. When you score a goal the repetition will start from before the current time of the game (represented with a blue line). Appart from that, the button serves no purpose.
