I am back again with another long career after completing the Pensioner's Challenge and this time i am tackling an insane 7 challenges - though i don't know how many i can complete??.

Well, to begin let me introduce you to my Prima - Guardian, my Drax (who needs a pansy emo Star-Lord anyway when you have the brute with a golden heart and a killer smile) , the man who will tackle the most challenges:

This man bailed on us with a Frankfurt contract. So, i decided to complete the herculean task on hand, i need a son of the soil, a man who bleeds Galaxy. So, here i introduce my new guardian - my academy graduate:

1. Landon Donovan Challenge

2. Fernando Peyroteo Challenge

3. 1KC

4. Calendar Year Scoring Challenge

5. one-third of the Triple Threat Assists Challenge

6. 200 International Goal Challenge (if i get the USA job which may be a long wait)

Only 3 hours to go here till the New Year so i have been drinking merrily.🤣

At first i thought i would do only the Landon Donovan and 1KC challenge but then during my alcohol laden trance, i came across the other challenges just for fun. Insanity at it's best. The first post has been updated with the hero of this save.

Thanks mate. My thinking was more the challenges, more the interest can be sustained over this long term save. Let's hope this is the case and it's not the other way around.

Good luck with this monumental task you've set for yourself. One of the main reasons I've had to put down my Langdon Donovon Challenge(I hope I can pick it up again soon...) attempt with Efrain Alvarez was the insane international call-ups which often left me with a massive lack of players for weeks on end. This really sucked the fun out of the save for me, and led to me taking a rather long break. Hope you're able to cope with it better, and good luck!

He missed a lot of matches due to the insane amount of international call-ups as @RPA123456 mentioned but still managed 58 goals from 49. So, until and unless i get the USA job, i have to hope he starts hitting 2 goals a game though now it is pointless and i will let you know the reason later on.

Decision Time

At the end of this season, i have a major predicament. I overlook the min. release clause for McKinzie Gaines and he is leaving us on January to Eintracht Frankfurt and i have three options in front of me:

1.  Try to sign back Gaines which with my limited funds seems a very very long wait as i have yet to unlock Sugar Daddy and if and when i do get him back, it will shave off a few years from this attempt making this very difficult.

2. I try to manage a bigger club and then sign Gaines which may work but that makes this save and the Landon Donovan Challenge attempt completely pointless.

3.  I continue this save with another contender and erase the records of Gaines so far, starting completely fresh though the other two contenders attempt will continue.

 

All the wise men here @Foxy, @Woody, @Rob, @Titjes , @Nucleus and all others, please let me know what to do??

Difficult one this.

Id be tempted to carry on and try and buy him back. Even if you have to sell a star to raise the cash as atleast you'll be able to carry on your save.

You have your other challenges to keep you going. You may only lose him for tor a season which wont be too bad. You can get another 10 -12 seasons out of him yet.

Didn’t you unlock sugar daddy in your pensioners save? If you did then this idea is out the window

Of the three options this is probably the best one in my opinion.

To be completely honest, I’d start again. Friendly piece of advice for you, not to sound patronising or anything like that, always play a few seasons before posting. Especially a challenge of this magnitude, there’s so much that can potentially go wrong. Long term saves I always make sure I’ve played around 5-6 seasons before posting any updates on here 😁

Yes, I did within 2 seasons in China but i doubt it will happen quickly here. Even if it does happen, it may take another 2-3 seasons which will be detrimental to this save. I had actually played 2 seasons before my 1st season was posted so ya, in hindsight i should have played longer but the decision is made now.

That’s the thing, you can’t unlock it again! 🙁 Sugar daddy can only be unlocked once, which kinda sucks if you’re planning a few long term careers

Season 3 - Rise of a new Guardian

Of course, the sale of McKinzie Gaines which was the hot topic and we also packed off Jonathan Santos to get that much needed cash.

Only one hattrick in the season for Duke while the CWC semi-final against Barcelona was one of the finest displays of goal-keeping i have seen in FMM with der Stegen saving 3 while our David Bingham saving 4. Unbelievable!!!

Samuel Ayala, a very young Mexican midfielder was picked up for free and he is the one i am most excited about.

Marcinkowski was the first proper GK is signed as he will fit perfectly as the no. 1 since David Bingham is well into his 30's.

Huge leap towards finishing the Landon Donovan Challenge with 5 out of 9 sub-challenges completed. The critical one will be the assists.  

Also, he is already 1/5th of the way towards 1KC having completed 200 before the age of 20. We just re-upped his contract to another 5 years after fending off offers from Tottenham, Man City and Werder Bremen. Though Duke was unhappy at first, he signed the extension and then performed brilliantly throughout the season.
