BREAKING NEWS!!

 

Welcome to my first save on Vibe and what other way to start than down the bottom.

 

I’ve chosen Salford because I believe I’m the man that can get them to the promised land and hopefully challenging the bigger Manchester clubs in the prem.

 

Key Player!

 

Mr Adam Rooney will be a pivotal season player and can drive me to the title in my first season alone but he’ll need to stay fit for me to do so.

I’ll post updates as regular as I possibly can and your support would mean the world.

 

(hope you guys enjoy and interact as I’m a bit nervous😂 and it’s my first post sorry if it’s a bit sh*t)

Thanks mate. I think my first save will be a simple one, not like all the 1K Challenges and stuff. I'm still very much a noob at this FMM😂

Good luck @ScottishFMM! Nuke is 100% right the simple ones are really fun not only for you but spectators and it makes you better at the actual game. I was as terrible as Giroud until doing a simple career with Brentford and after getting Champions League Qualification in season 2 and getting to the semis in 5 before winning it in Season 7 I can now proudly say that I am now only as bad as Morata (what’s wrong with my life?)

Is it wrong that I rate Giroud as a striker?🤣. But thanks man automatic promotion is a must first season🤞

UPDATE!

(I'm a rubbish Football Manager)

Tried many formations and couldn't score, I did say keeping Adam Rooney fit would be key to me getting promotion this season but truth is he's never turned up all season and I'm in November😂.

 

Moving on I've hopefully found a tactic that works and I'm currently 8 unbeaten and sitting in playoffs so fingers crossed.

 

I'll post photo updates after the January window. (Wish me luck)

End of the season.

 I suppose the question is did we get promotion??

Not quite automatic promotion but we were pushed very hard for it, I must’ve tried about 10 formations throughout this season and I’m not even any closer to finding one that suits.

 

Transfers!

Really happy with the business that occurred over the windows. Made a massive £1 million at a club this size was vital getting the right calibre player in.

Season Review!

Massively proud we had to 3 top scorers in the division and still only managed to finish 3rd!! Defence is key for next season and I’m working on it from the get go, hope you enjoyed the first season.

 

(Will post an update when I’ve completed the next season, prediction? Mid table.)

In an ideal world it would be back to back promotions until I get to the prem but I don’t have a scheduled time tbh just going with the save and seeing how long it takes mate

Not enough goals scored, too many goals conceded and still not sure on my preferred formation with this team. I usually use my saved tactic all my saves but it's not working and I'm scrambling i nthe dark trying to find one that suits now the window is closed😆

Too much choppzing and changing probably isn’t doing you any favours. Go back to basics, start with a standard formation with no exotic player roles. Play to your teams strengths, take a look at your squad depth to see who your key players are and play through them.

I did man, we've managed to go 3 unbeaten but i'm now playing 3-5-2 and it seems to be working so i'm going to roll with that and hopefully we'll get out this rut.

Update season 2!

After a very poor start and staring relegation in the eyes we’ve managed to find ourselves in the playoffs and 3 points off the top. I guess @Nucleus is a genius telling me to go back to basics.

Summer transfers!

I needed some income and since the board wouldn’t stump up the cash I bought a few free agents and sold them instantly for some profit. 

FA Cup run!

Took a scalp beating MK Dons and then a comfortable 2nd round win vs Crewe sees us continue to dream of the magic of a cup run.

So the halfway point looks positive got a massive second half of the season to go and back to back promotions is looking more of a possibility.

(We’ve had a job offer also. Politely declined. Sorry hasbro, inside joke)

End of season review!

Smashed it again boys! Back to back promotions after expecting to straight back down. Although the boys did try there best to throw it away at the end

We also bagged our first trophy of this save beating literally everyone on pens including Peterborough in the final.

 

The job offers never stopped!!

Only one club I want to manage right now though SALFORD!

Key Player:

Jacks been fantastic over the 2 seasons and is developing into a very nifty striker. But in all the whole team performed over my wildest imaginations and I’m proud to have build a great core of players.

Added bonus for me!

Well done mate!! It isn’t quite automatic promotion but it’s more fun in the playoffs and what an attack! And don’t think you’re bad cos of your defence. In my Brentford Save I won the league and scored the most goals. I also had the second worst defence in the league (and the worst defence didn’t have a keeper the whole season... BUGS!). BTW Giroud is sh*t so don’t worry about that.

Thanks mate I think I’m out my depth with this league though, the board are unwilling to upgrade training facilities and it’s gettig hard to buy some decent level players. Thanks for sticking by mate.

Unfortunately guys I’m going to bring this save to an abrupt ending as I’m not really feeling the save anymore and getting these guys promoted to the prem I jut don’t see my doing as I’m not the greatest manager. From where Im sitting not many people seem interested so I’m going to move onto another and for those who were interested then I’m very sorry.

I’m very pleased with getting the club back to back promotions with a very limited budget and we were on course for the playoffs in league 1 also.

Onto myself and I had over a 50% win ratio which I’m very happy with considering the about of games we have to play in a season is fantastic.

My favoured player is easy. Jack Redshaw the man is a bagsman and id recommend him to anyone using a lower league team. These stats are under my management (I’m not very good). Imagine him under someone like @Nucleus

 

Anyway guys thank you for whoever was reading my journey and suggestions for a following save would be very helpful. Cheers
