So I am back with a very short update on this short challenge!

The Mad McGeady Challenge

So for this one I needed an Irishman who can both score and assist in order to set a high score. So I went to what has become my go to player this year...

Connor Hourihane

He is a very versatile midfielder and does improve a little, I will be playing him just behind my front two in order to supply but also nick some goals, also he is not a bad free kick taker also.

 

Season One Review

Not a bad season all in all. I managed to take the league title but it was close one. With just 30 games you cannot afford to drop too many points and I nearly blew it a late season dip in form. After not making the Champs League I headed into the Euro Cup and did very well getting through to the final but Bayern were too strong in the final. We added the Russian Cup to complete a decent first season.

Season Two Review

We managed to retain our title more easily this season as the players knew the jobs well. A cup double ensured a domestic treble and we got through the Quarter finals of the Champions League but Barca were just too strong for us.

Season Three Review

With just 93 games to play, I knew that we would not be able to complete this one. We were stormed to the league. I picked up the Super Cup and was on course for another Russian Cup. Champions League again ended in the Quarter Final

Connor Hourihane

Well, he did his best. I was trying to pick and choose the games where I felt he could make the most impact and he was not too bad. His form picked up season after season and the points saw a steady increase with his final season on course to be very good indeed. His final total was 88 points, a little disappointing as I was looking to hit 100 plus but never mind.

Playing as Spartak is fun, its a quick league to complete but you are restricted by the lack of transfer funds though so some wheeling and dealing is required.

Manager Stats

Not bad for two and a bit seasons. Hope some other players try out the Russian league, there is some good young players to be found and develop.

Average score I think!

Yeah, he can play in a number of different roles in the middle of the park and is cheap too.

Considering the lack of games I’d say it’s a decent score to be honest. Nearly a point per game is not to be sniffed at

Yeah, when you look at it like that its not bad.

I guess playing him in a SS role might have grabbed more goals but then maybe I would have lost some assists?

SS role is OP this year apparently, but then you’re on the OME? so I have no idea how it performs on that. I always tend to go for goals over assists in these sort of challenges as they’re more predictable, where as assists is slightly more random
