I think it was mainly the squad really coming together but I’ve just looked back at the career now and he seemed to improve the most attribute wise during the season.

I like how assists count too as it means you can take a different approach if you want to and you aren’t getting annoyed when your player is assisting all the time like can happen on other goalscoring challenges.

Interesting that he improved the most. I found they don’t improve until Xmas, even on intensive.

None of the others improved much at all but he made great gains and he was 29. I don’t think he was even on intensive training unless he asked for a higher schedule as I just left training alone otherwise at that time.

Fabled Number Ten - Season 4 Player

Season four needed the modern day Del Piero. We needed another Italian following our fun with Zaniolo.

As this season was our middle season, I wanted this player to be the most random yet. So us folk at Turin have welcomed the legend, the hero, the mighty Dimitri Bisoli. 

27 years old, a 15 in passing, aggression, and decisions, and... uh...  that’s about it. His scouting also said he had peaked. Eek! This one will be a good test of our tactic.

Fabled season four results 

So we picked our worst player to date in the season where we would play the least amount of games following last year’s shock loss to Sevilla in the Euro Cup. Could Dmitri Bisoli keep the decent run of scores going?

Jan Oblak on a free was absolutely brilliant for us, upgrading our goalkeeping position. Bisoli cost a whopping £6.75m.

Zaniolo went for £58m, which I was happy with. De Ligt wasn’t playing so I let him go with a sell-on. Pjaca wasn’t getting game time and I had a youth player who I wanted to promote to his back-up role.

A bit of a disaster struck earlier in the season. We got dumped out of the Italian Cup in the fourth round on pens against Chievo.

Oops! Not the best of results, especially considering Bisoli would need as many games as possible.

But thankfully normal service was resumed in the Italian Super Cup when we once again thumped Inter.

Bisoli didn’t score in either of those, but did grab the first in this final:

Yep, the Champions Cup was coming back to Turin. A five goal hammering against our Italian rivals from Naples, with five different scorers, was utterly delightful.

Could we also tie up the league?

112 goals for and 91 points in the bag led us to another title. I’m not entirely sure how we lost five as it didn’t feel like we did, but oh well.

So as you can see Bisoli didn’t score a huge amount in the highlighted matches, but how did the modern day Del Piero do?

Well, his attributes looked like this at the end. Nothing much improved, but his value increased by around £15m. He did retrain to a light green though, which I worried may not happen at his age.

He played 53 games and scored 37 goals with a further 30 assists. I am absolutely chuffed with that.

That gives him 67 points and a contribution of 1.26 per game leaving Ntcham as our best performing player still.

Season 1: Irish. Jeff Hendrick. 1.43/g. 53 points

Season 2: French. Olivier Ntcham. 1.56/g. 89 points.

Season 3: Italian. Nicolo Zaniolo. 1.17/g. 62 points.

Season 4: Italian. Dmitri Bisoli. 1.26/g. 67 points.

271 points total. 
(68 pts/plr avg) 

Next up is our modern day Carlos Tevez.

Cheers chaps. The lesser known player thing just keeps it more interesting to play. I was massively surprised how he did, but I think a lot of it is dependent on the players around him. I’ve learnt a lot from you masters in the few years I have been on here.

Fabled Number Ten - Season Five Player

For season five we need the modern day Carlos Tevez. An Argentinian maestro; a Fabled Number Ten from one of South America’s greatest footballing countries.

I wanted someone amazing. I settled for someone aMezaing. See what I did there? Wordplay at it’s finest.

Maximiliano Meza is coming to Turin.

He is thirty and therefore probably past his prime, but I like his name and I deem that as a good enough reason to sign him.
