Tactics 2-2-1-2-3 Unbeatable (WINTER UPDATE)

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, following the update I decided to have a go at making my own tactic instead of stealing all of yours, it’s very attacking yet surprisingly solid at the back.

SK - I’ve used De Gea and Jack Butland and they both seem good in this role

BPD - these players are ball players first so make sure to look for a high passing score, pace is also important.

Wing Backs - These are your teams width and where most of your assists are coming from, I suggest a high crossing and stamina stats as they will be up and down all game.

DLP - You want someone with hig tackling, passing and creativity. Declan Rice and Fred have been great for me.

AP - standard playmakers, high shooting, passing and creativity recommended.

DLF - Same as the AP.

AF - You will be getting a lot of supply for the wingbacks so I suggest either high Ariel and movement or standard poacher stats.

I tested first with Manchester United, I sold everybody over 28 as I went for the Ole Gunner Solkjaer approach, top of the table with highest scored and lowest conceded at the midway point. In all cup games (Carabao and Champions League) I used my youth team (Chong, Greenwood and Gomes) they managed to beat Madrid at the Bernabau.

I then tested it with West Ham and I found while it’s not as effective as Utd, I was still top at January with least conceded and Most scored with a whole lot of giant killing 313EF0A7-1CCC-4C58-ABA9-E8282F0710E8.thumb.png.26796feb54d03f8ce17744d70b2a233e.png1C23DA81-587E-4EB4-8F57-16E1589890CF.thumb.png.9eaeb37c76fe52e39e9a705a96dbbdbc.pngC4BC7A72-D0E9-494F-B64C-44C09DF2257A.thumb.png.f4f00535b27629c5a93956965324266b.png3F104492-E196-4DE0-9876-A33550A005B1.thumb.png.8a8d3997f9c946e1edb167a9257ffa61.png64B1FC72-F0D7-4DC9-97DD-7B2171E6AC5B.thumb.png.c9b953a740afda6aa79dfc0e4ef063f9.png

This is only my second tactic, I’m very much a plug and player using all of your tactics, I think this very much is a base point and could be improved by someone with a bit more knowledge on the game than me

cheers for reading

I don't mean to doubt your tactic or you, but you're using Man Utd.....

I recommend at least testing the tactic out a bit more and seeing if it really is as good as you believe it to be before posting.

Once again, I'm sorry if I sound like a bit of a dick. It's just that I would prefer if more higher quality tactics were posted instead of every other post being about a tactic that worked decently at a big team. Like that one time one guy claimed his tactic was the best because he won the league with PSG :)

Thank you very much for sharing the tactic, unfortunately not many members here no longer comment on shared tactics . What are your thoughts of your chosen instructions :)?

best regards Anders

Now that's more like it!

And while that first game does look promising, it's always better to play at least 10-15 games before you can tell if a tactic is decent or not.

So do update us again after a bit on whether it's going well or not.

P.S: I'll be running a Saviour Cometh challenge(IMO a very quick and solid way to test tactics) to see how good this tactic is.

I find the offside trap makes the tactic to be honest, lots of offsides for the opposition, work into the box is so much better than shoot on sight as you get rid of the old 30 shots a game with no clear cut chances.

also I’m a big fan or your tactics, been using them for years 😭😭

Alright just had a quick go with this tactic and here's what I think. It is a decent tactic with good potential but I had to make a few changes to get it to work better.(for me)

Screenshot_2019-03-08-20-47-28-066_football.manager.games_fm19.mobile.thumb.png.53619290dec1dcf04afaa673e9d7cb1d.pngScreenshot_2019-03-08-20-47-37-522_football.manager.games_fm19.mobile.thumb.png.3b8ffad4d8dedd95bfb9bb0e89d3f4b7.png

Now I know you said that the WBs were the main providers of assists in your team but they were a few reasons why they would not work in a different(and weaker) team.

1. Is that you only have 1 player on each flank providing offence and defence for the whole flank. This may lead to your WBs being easily locked out of the game if they are not good enough.

2. Is that you have one of the best TMs in the world(Lukaku) to get on the end of those crosses. So it would seem like the tactic leads to a lot of scored headers, but that is just due to the players you had.

Due to those reasons(and a few other small ones I didn't mention) I decided to cut wing play out of the equation and focus solely on the center of the pitch where this tactic's strength is at.

Anyway, that's just my take on the tactic but I do hope you give my version a chance.

Edit:Haha so I just noticed I messed up my front three combo, but I suppose it didn't affect my performance too much though.

Good points with the SPAL setup yes, i reckon many average italian sides would love to test that 2/4 back anytime, looks like it takes alot decision and potionting too play the defence tight enough :)

@Crashhart Great tactic bro. Was trying out your original tactic for fun and won everything. Crazy thing about this tactic is it’s the most defensively sound I’ve ever tried. I literally conceded 16 goals in my 38 league games 👍

Cheers Len,

glad it worked for you pal, that was what I found crazy about the tactic was how good at the back it was, would you be able to post some screenshots?

Sorry mate I’ve already saved over it with another short term bit of fun save. I’ll be using that tactic again for sure though so I’ll be sure to save some next time 👍

So far so good, early days like but looks pretty solid ... enjoying this tactic. For myself feel like I need a couple of worldies upfront and a solid CB but can’t complain!!

Thank you for sharing. Winning the Seria A with ease now in season two when i can buy slightly better players for the right roles :)

Works absolutely great, absolutely against the smaller teams. Not sure about the big ones (see Bayern)

You gotta have technical players with good movement though, and good aerial players in the back. and pacey CBs.

To get the best out of it you should alter between Central and Flanks passing, to surprise the opposition

Here’s the promised screen shots of a season using this tactic. One of my favourite tactics I’ve tried in here. Pretty much all the games I didn’t win were because of squad rotating and being the first season my back up 11 weren’t quite good enough against tougher opponents. Still amazes me how good defence is and I’d never think of having 2 APs and 2 AFs when I’m creating a tactic so it’s definitely got me thinking 👍

Screen shots of my 1st team and other stuff.
