Career Moon And Back - Armstrong 1K Career (Season 3) HIATUS

Neil Armstrong,One of the most well known astronauts to ever grace the moon,what an accomplishment it was.But how Long ago was that when we heard of the name Armstrong accomplishing greatness? Way to Long ago.

(Ok let’s not talk about Lance Armstrong).Until this man...

(Everyone: “Wait who is that?”)

Armstrong Oko-FLEX,this Arsenal “reject” will show them what they are missing.That Aubameyang got nothing on him!

Yeah,Yeah,I will be attempting to bring the name of Armstrong back to its glory where it deserves!

This is the first time I’m attempting a 1K so I don’t even know how this will turn out to be.Highly likely I will fail this challenge but at least I’ll give it a shot.

As you can tell,I will be using Anderlecht.Honestly no clue why I tried this club.Possibly the only reason is cause I have not played in the Belgian league before.

Also other notable players in this club are 

was playing a Genoa career previously and saw him at Inter,should be not bad right?

I was reading somewhere and someone in this site has already done a 1k with this guy so self explanatory

He be playing some first team games irl while I sit at home and play apex legends so...

Season 1.1

 

I will be updating every half a season just so y’all can help keep me on track cause honestly no clue how will this turn out to be.

Without further ado,here’s a season 1.1 update

Was not able to get much from any of these players but the sum were aight.Notable transfers were possibly Zuji,A midfielder with pretty all rounded stats.Bakkali,A wonder kid from a few years ago that couldn’t hit his potential,I just sold him off as he was “lazy”.Kums,A decent midfielder that was just too old for me to use.

 

Transfer Ins:

I didn’t go full ham on the transfers.Some players you May notice are Tonali,well if you don’t know him you are under the rock.McKenna,Pretty solid defender with all the stats in a central defender.Eze,I’ve used this guy in my previous Genoa save and he was pretty great so I’m hoping he does the same here.

 

League Table at 1.1

Well it’s not the worst tho I feel we could be doing better as Anderlecht is one of the top teams in the Belgian league if I’m not wrong.

Other Competitions:

Knocked out of the Europa league,probably cause I used it as break time for my whole first team squad and for okoflex to rest.

Still in Croky Cup,I’m hoping to win this minimally.

 

 

Main Man:

So how did our main man do?

I think it’s not the worst but probably could be doing better if I want to be on track with this challenge.

ps,Those who have done the challenge,I’m pretty sure I’m NOT on track at the moment ya?

unfortunately he hasn’t seemed have really grown,only minimally..

 

An issue I realised with the man is that he is mad inconsistent:

He was at one point 11 goals in 5 games.Then couldn’t score all the way until about 15 games where he scored another to make it 12 goal.

Just take a look at this and figure it out,

He could score either many goals in a match or none at all.And that’s pretty troubling.

ps,any tips from y’all professionals on how to use wingers to help assist the man if his Aerial isn’t great?

I’m not blaming the update but he could be playing inconsistently due to being tired for majority of the first half of the season and there’s nothing much I could do.I sat him out for the Europa league matches but still he’s tired 😕

Other notable details:

I joined the coach gang and got into motivational coaching,hoping that helps my team build up their teamwork stat so they will pass the ball more(and I mean you Doku,you selfish man(or at least that’s what the coaches say))

And I think that’s about it,If there are any tips do help this man out I’m pretty trash in this.

You scared the heck out of me! I may have just started a 1KC with another Armstrong (not this one) so the title of this career made me jump! LOL... 😄

I'm at Celtic and I found Flex in the reserves there. Looks like a good choice for a 1KC from what I can tell. And one of the first players I bought? Tonali! Have used him in a couple of saves now and he's great...

As for Flex's start - that's actually pretty good for a player who is so young. I've always found my 1KC strikers are inconsistent until they hit their 20s... So I think you are totally on track. 

His Arial of 13 isn't too bad. I'd probably set his training focus role to Target Man and his focus attribute to Arial. In FMM 2019 that tends to jump up really quickly. I had 3 attribute jumps with my player and he went from Arial 8 to Arial 20. After that, I switched him away from Target Man and Arial to something else. This years game really seems to favour strikers who are strong in the air..

Hey guys we did it,we hit a quart...I mean we won the league by mere 3 points.Not the hottest but more money in the bank

We too managed to achieve the Croky Cup despite it going all the way to penaties(& Oko missed his pen 😕 )

 

Main Man:

Well he had a inconsistent second half of the season,scoring only 9 goals in the 20 games.Not too hot.

I did heed @Scratch advice and had him have Target Man training and aerial training hence that’s his first green stat.Hopefully more to come!

 

Other notable details:

Top scorers in the league:

Quite a shame as he could have gotten the Top Goalscorer award if he had 3 more goals.But 2nd place for someone that just joined isn’t bad at all.

 

Obviously he is also the Top Scorer in our team:

It is followed up by Yari with 10 goals and Suray  ,my backup striker when I rest Oko-Flex,with 9 goals.Hey,y’all ain’t supposed to be the ones scoring here haha.

Assist wise..

We’ve got Eze,our new signing,achieving 10 assists.The rest are not actually far from him honestly.More assists next season lads!

 

I’m not sure if you guys are interested but Oko-Flex also has the most Player Of The Match awards in the team.So that’s something to yay about.

 

Lastly,Jupiter League Team Of The Season

And nope,Oko-Flex didn’t make it.9 PoM and second highest scorer but not in TOTY,wym.

We did have defenders Messias and Vitinho make it into the TOTY

 

Season 1 End:

1000-28=972 more goals

Uhh not looking too great but still many more years let’s hope he breaks the league in the coming years!

That's a good solid first season! Second half of the season is always more difficult than the first... You'll probably swear when you see how many goals my striker is scoring, but that's because he's much older (21) and his attributes are better. Oko-Flex will grow into a very good scorer in the coming seasons.

Yeah,Adam Armstrong has quite great stats,15 shooting straight away and blistering pace,definitely would score many more than okoflex.Perhaps your tactics is better too(cause I’m still trail and erroring tactics such that oko would score more)

Yeah he's pretty good out of the box and has developed really nicely. But I think by the time Oko-Flex reaches 21 he's gonna be pretty good himself! 🙂

I've seen that come up and then have players still develop a fair bit, so he could still develop quite well. But yeah, I guess that is the main worry with younger players - you never know exactly how good they will be (unless they are on a wonderkid list, which is boring compared someone less well known). I really really hope he turns out great for you.

Season 2.1

He may not be the best goalkeeper at the start but he will definitely improve to be a world class keeper.

Amiri,I see that crossing,ITS GREEN,you’re in!

And also he was transferlisted so why not.

Dani Olmo,y’all should know who this is by now.Ex Barcelona player that has be hot on fire irl so I hope he does such in this career.

This is a academy player that I promoted.The coaches said that he has 5 star “potential” so he’s featured.

Many free transfers you May see,don’t worry.They don’t seem to be amazing players.

He was our first team left back for the second half of the season as he had great crossing.He’s a great player but the money was hard to turn away.

He was our second team keeper.Keepers don’t really get injuries so I decided to get that money instead.

I didn’t want to cancel his deal since he was great at wolves.I’d let him go just for his future 😕

 

Main Man at Season 2.1

I am very happy with his goal tally at the moment,I hope he continues his form in the second half of the season.He has already gotten the same amount of goals he has taken last season.He has also gotten more assists than last season even though that’s not his job.

 

Well,how about his In Game Statistics:

As far as I can tell,he hasn’t improved.(only minimally)

I hope he still has room to improve despite it stating that he is unlikely to improve in his training page.

 

Also,If you had’nt noticed,he has gotten two international caps though no goals just yet.

Its going to be tougher to score if they are playing him on the wings

We are playing pretty well and Some could say we are cruising the league.But let’s not get the better of us and keep this going for the second half.

Same as last year,We are in the semi finals of the Croky Cup.This should be a mainstay trophy every season honestly.

Well,unfortunately we managed to bottom our table in our champions league group.Our team is simply not strong enough to take on Barcelona and Manchester United.And by team I meant my second team cause oko-flex is always dead every champions league match and I never played him in any champions league match.

Check out this splendid game Oko-FLEX had.

6 goals in one game.Some games I sub him out after 60 minutes so as to keep his fitness high enough to play the next game but this was a game I saw and knew he had to play the whole match.Thankfully I wasn’t wrong and he repaid my faith.

One of the signings we made in the first season.He has developed really well to the point where he was scouted by Hamburg.Don’t worry though as we got a great replacement!

Messias 

If you are not sure or was not reading attentively,this man here was in team of the season last season.But he has peaked and his passing seemed to be stunned.As a formation that requires more Passing Ball Playing Defenders,I had to find better options

Hoogma

Wait a minute,where did he come from? I signed this man for about 1-2m as he had great passing and thought he could improve his tackling while he was here.Unfortunately,He appears to be “Unlikely to improve”.So I just ship him off on a trade deal.You will see who later.

This man has been amazing for Norwich in real life and I was also sure that he would be great in game too.Hence,I sold off Vitinho(and also gave them Hoogma).

If y’all didn’t already know,this man is amazing.His stats now may look average but wait till he develops,he is going to be an amazing player.

Joe Worrall

This sturdy reliable centre back is my replacement for Messias.His passing is actually worse that Msssias,which is ironic.However,I prefer a more well known option and someone I know is great in many of my saves.

Well,We just destroyed the league.Only a loss in the entire season.Heres to hoping for an invincible next season.Should not even be that hard imo.

We also managed to win the Croky Cup.Unfortunately it was a mid week match and oko-flex couldn’t play it as he was exhausted.

A WHOOPING 50 GOALS and 9 assists in 37 games! That’s 5 less games than last season but still he made hell break loose.(Salah quit being selfish and trying to score,pass the ball to oko-flex)..Bad joke.Anyways...

 

 It was tense to hit the 50 goal mark.It took all the way to the last game to get that final 2 goals that made it 50.

Honestly,really happy with this season’s performance.I hope it continues for the Seasons after this.

 

Other Notable Details:

Our Top assister is Nadiem Amiri.They new man has proven to be a vital part of our team with that 20 assists!

Armstrong Oko-Flex also achieves the most Player of the Match awards in the team.He May need a new closet for his man of the match balls that he gets from his games.

He also achieved Top Goalscorer in the league.He won Jelle Vossen,the second highest scorer,by a drastic 31 goals.Is there even competition for this award?

He also achieved best average rating in the league of 8.51 followed by teammate Amiri of 7.78.Not too shabby!

Lastly,He also made it into the team of the year alongside teammates,Amiri and Castillo.I just wanna say,a congratulations.

 

Season 2 end:

972 - 50 = 922 goals to go

 

Things are looking slightly better(and brighter!)

 

Next Update may be slower as I have some things I need to handle outside fmm but I’ll try to do this in my free time!

Great to hear. My old tactic didn't seem to be doing me so well on the goal front after the update. Atleast there is hope for me then I'm currently doing my first 1kc with Pellegri and Monaco

As for Amiri, haven't used him in FMM19, but he was a star for me in FMM18. I scouted him out in my current career, but he won't come to Celtic... 🙁

Yeah that’s my worry on the man too,that he won’t improve much or at all.I was thinking a possible way to improve better is to go to a better team However I only loaded,Portugal,Belgium,Scotland and Dutch leagues(As I didn’t try them this year yet).Technically,Aderlecht is one of the best teams there is already and if I do move to Ajax,I would have to worry if he could score the the Dutch league.As for Amiri,perhaps it’s better for you to stick to Pavon as he is cheaper and his crosses into the box are rock solid!

Even if he doesn't develop much, the 1K is still on in this league.

I have seen player attributes jump when they move to a bigger league, but I don't understand the reason behind that, so not 100% sure it's guaranteed. And even if you get that, you're in a harder league, so probably in the same position. Maybe the Netherlands is a stronger league, hard to say, will be interesting to see what you do! 🙂

Yeah, Pavon is some I've bought in pretty much every career for the last few years. Still cheap, still great. I suspect he's not as good (PA wise) as some other choices, but he's good enough for me - as you say rock solid with those crosses.

I haven’t got the experience of other people here having only completed one fairly easy 1k at PSG but I wouldn’t worry about what the coaches say. He’s got 50 goals in 37 games at only 18. He won’t get worse and his fitness will definitely improve. I can see his shooting is at 12 and I bet that goes up to at least 15 by the time he’s 23.

Also i placed a sell on clause on previous season's Vitinho,i cant remember exactly how many percent but 20 million is a nice sum.

Team Performance:

We once again excelled in the main league,not much need to say

We however lost the Croky Cup,massive surprise even for me :o 

We too lost the Super Cup by penalties :c

 

We advanced pretty far into the champions league,only to get knocked out on away goal rule.Really gutted...

 

Our Main Man:

Grew in a few stats,most notably in the fitness aspect.

Well,this season we could not produce the same form we had in the previous season despite playing the same amount of games.The tactic i was using was not that clinical this season.And possibly some squad mates around Oko-flex were changed.Hoping for improvement next season definitely.

He did suffer a 10 injury and missed about 2 games.

Other notable features:

Despite the huge differences in goals this season,he still attained the Top Goalscorer in the JPL,9 ahead of second placed Jelle Vossen.

He too achieved best average rating despite it being a drastic 'de-provement" from last season's.

Our Team had 4/11 of our players in the TOTY so thats still nice.

 

Season 2 end:

922 - 34= 888 goals to go!

 

I really hope that 50 goals is a consistent thing soon.

I'll also be posting a full season by season now,instead of half season.This will help to not clog up the feed.

 

ps,If anyone is nice enough,can anyone dm me as i may need some tips to further improve my tactic.

One off season is okay, but hope he gets 50+ for you next year. 

Are you not playing him in the Champion's League? Screenshot shows no continental games. What's his Training screen say now? If there is a "needs to play at a higher level" message there, then you need to play him in the Champion's League. If he's just maxed out in general though, it probably makes sense to rest him in the harder games.

Anyway, I really hope he has a good season.

Yeah unfortunately the UCL matches are always on midweek,this results in oko-flex being extremely drained.Tho I could actually rest him for the match before,it would make more sense to play him in easier matches for higher chance of goals,realistically.Unfortuately I have yet to see “need to play at higher level” yet or maybe never will 😕 .

Yeah - I'm playing on the pre Winter update version, which is a lot easier than what you're facing. In 2018, I used to rest my striker for the Champions League games as he's more likely to score against easier competition, so it makes sense what you're doing - especially if you don't have that message...
