If you want to play them just play them.

Rotate. Play the key players in the European competitions and against the bigger teams such as Dortmund, Bayern or Schalke. Give the younger players games against the lesser teams. Might cause some unsettlement but the only other answer I can give is loan them out. If they succeed at the loan clubs they will come back in a position to be first choice.
