We managed to beat Argentina to win another WC with a 93rd minute winner, Smog cleaned up on the awards again too.

Season 20 Summary

So did Foden reach that magical number? You bet he did, another 30 assists brings him to 1007 club career assists!

Smog was again hampered by a few injuries but still notched 75 club goals and 19 international goals to leave us 106 short of the 1k for him.

Now its not quite over there yet for Foden as i thought one big season from Smog could see us home so i asked this....

........and he signed this, which if he played until the end would see him to the ripe old age of 43!! However that isn't the intention, as soon as Smog hits the 1k then that will be my last season.

So hopefully one more big season to finally sign off this career.

Season 21

With Foden having hit his 1k assists it was down to Smog jr to see if he could hit the 106 goals needed for his 1k.

Season 21 Summary

So Smog jr was on course until this happened in the 3rd minute of the last La Liga game meaning he missed the Copa del Rey and CL finals and finished on 105 goals for the season, agonisingly one goal short!

830 club goals and 169 international goals leaves him on 999 goals for me so will have to start a new season just to wrap that up.

Foden still managing to notch up assists in an incredible career.

Season 22

Flicking between this career and my DT now. We left it with Smog needing just 1 more goal for his 1k but also Foden extending his career into his 40's. I can't quite let this career go so my next target is to  get Smog his 200 international goals and pass that challenge and i am also tempted to see how bad Foden gets as we go into his 40's and see if i can still get some assists form him.

Season 22 Summary

Smog has hit 30 now and this is what a 40yr old Foden looks like!

Still a great goal return taking him well over the 1k.

And for a 40yr old can't really argue with 16 assists from 23 games. He missed a good few months with an injury too.

So another 14 goals required for Smog jr's 200 international goals so hopefully will hit that this season and it would also be nice to hit 1k in club goals so i will carry on playing but updates may be a bit slower as i will also be playing my other career.

Best season in a while from Smog with 113 goals for club and country.

This leaves us like this. Foden still has two years on his contract and i think getting Smog to 1.5k is a realistic target as he still has a good few years left. At this stage i may also think about getting to the 30yr mark.

Season 24

Completed season 24 of this career last night, and Ian mentioning me earlier prompted me to post it before the weekend.

This is how we got on this season and my manager profile.

This is how Foden and Smog Jr look and how they got on.

Foden had various injuries that restricted him to just 21 games, that and the fact he is now 42! Still returned a respectable 10 assists. His stamina even increased one notch to 6! He is now entering the final year of his contract (again) and i can't imagine he will extend again so if i can get another 10-15 assists to sign off i will be happy.

Another 100+ season for Smog Jr who actually seems more suited to this system than Rashford ever was. He is 32 now though so will start to decline soon, but with 181 goals required for the 1.5k i am confident he will get there.

Just another note with Smog Jr, it was his highest season total for England, largely helped by these two very easy World Cup group games. Gave his totals a nice boost and got him over the 100 mark for the season as well with the couple he notched through the rest of the tournament.

So carrying on, my aims are to get Smog Jr to his 1.5k and as many international goals as poss, whilst also seeing this last year of Foden's contract through to retirement. I'll then evaluate what is left to get me to the 30yr end.

Season 25

Phil Foden's last season of a monumental 25 year career.

First of all this is how we got on this season and my manager profile.

To start we'll see how Smog jr got on.  33 years old now but no dramatic decrease in attributes yet, and a nice 79 goal haul. He is now sat on 1412 goals so 1.5k should happen in the next 1-2 seasons.

Now for the main man of this career, Phil Foden. 43 years old and still managed to notch 3 goals and 12 assists in his final season which leaves him with a grand total of 1084 assists! What a legend!

Numerous achievements over the years.

It was very fitting that in his last ever game for me he notched 2 assists.

Now that Foden has retired and the assist challenge is complete i will look to get Smog jr over 1.5k and to complete the 30 seasons. If i can get Smog to play those out i may just aim for the highest total possible with him.

Season 26

Now Foden has retired i was trying to get my son over 1.5k goals.

Here's how the season went;

Here's how Smog jr is looking; a real drop in his attributes now so the next few seasons could be hard work. He also went over 256 international goals so that has reset on his profile so he is actually on 265. 

He still managed to score just over a goal a game but didn't play as many as previous seasons due to fatigue/injuries.

So that leaves us 21 short of 1.5k goals, which hopefully he will get this coming season. He has a contract until i hit the 30-season mark so i will probably just try and get what i can out of him in the remaining seasons.

There was a point where i thought i might be able to target my Chen Shilong total of 1732 goals but another 253 goals with his decreasing attributes looks impossible.

I just read through this entire career and just amazeballs. Foden's assist were the highlight, never seen that many before. Was really sad when the old crew hung up their boots. Come on little smog, keep banging them in!
