Career "We've got Alli, Dele Alli" - Season 2

It has been my first season in FMM. Ever since I tried the “Everyone’s a Scorer Challenge”, I absolutely loved doing more challenges! Had accidentally overwritten my save of “Vikings cometh” attempt though. Since then I have been doing a lot of test saves for a 1k challenge.

So I played around with the best wonderkids (e.g. F. Silva, Geubbels, Felix). To be honest, they are very good scorers. But I just feel that I don’t have a connection with them. Like, I don’t know them in real life. It doesn't feel right to manage them in 10+ seasons. Then I started to look at slightly “older” players who I watch every week.

So..the player I chose is..!

That’s right! He is my type of player, who has a little of everything (and maybe not coincidentally but all my favourite players usually gets yellow carded easily ahahaha). In real life, he has not a bad scoring record. He has pace, skills, shooting and ofcoz a little bit of aerial ability, which can be handy in his 1k career.

As for the club, I went for Real Madrid. Not only because it’s a big club, but they also desperately need quality young players to replace the ageing squad.

Season 1

Doesn't have the best attributes as a striker but he is just 22, hopefully there are still big room for improvement

Brought in two more players hopefully can provide more scoring opportunities for my boy.

As for my main man Dele,

He absolutely smashed it! It's the first time ever I had such a good rate of goals. I'm especially pleased with the growth of his aerial ability, causing him to score a lot from corners.

Yes I am playing on the latest update. So the main challenge is to manage his game time. Especially during the period after Christmas where we have to play 2 matches per week every week

That January period in Spain is brutal isn't it! If my players have a couple of goals or assists by half time i take them off during that run.

Fantastic start mate. You need every bit of goal as your player is older than the normal choice for 1KC. Will be watching this now.

Indeed he is older than the usual choices but that interests me more than picking a teenager where I need to watch him grow in the first few seasons. Maybe I just don't have the patience

I have to say he is such a consistent performer. He can score in every game. Maybe because he is quite an all-rounded striker.

But at the same time I realise 90% of his goals were from first half. And almost every time after he scores 2 goals in a match, he starts to sit back and give other teammates opportunity to get on the scoresheet.

This is a perfect example. Not sure if it's related to his "unselfish" personality. Or maybe he understands my 1kc intention so he automatically conserves his energy for next match. 

(I'm halfway in the 2nd season, and he is on course to break his 104 goal record from last season.)

Season 2

Got too many players coming back from loan, had to offload some of them to keep the squad happy. Had to lower the price of Bale to 30m to attract offers though.

Bought in Pulisic and de Ligt who are some of my favourite players in FMM19.

Lost the Spanish Cup final by two late goals >< other than that it was a great season.

As for the main man,

He had another cracking season! He had 50 goals already at Christmas time (contrast his first season only 40 at Christmas). His rate slowed down a little bit in January but still he keeps scoring steadily.

He is now like a goal-scoring machine who can function 60mins per game only. Play him in the first half and he will give you 2 goals, then you will need to give him 30 mins rest to charge him up again for the next game.

In the end he had 3 more goals than his first season. Can't complain with that!

End of Season 2

Another two pieces of good news for Dele:

Time for more international goals! 15 goals at the moment.

 

We signed Dele's best friend (according to FMM19) Eric Dier. We are slowly turning Tottenham into our feeder club

Thanks! Yes he movement and Aerial makes him a wonderful scorer. I would hope he has a little bit more pace though
