Season 3

New tactics seem to work well. Absolutely stormed the league and had a decent cup run so more than double my manager points.

Also have regional rep now so here’s hoping for a new job soon. No one wants to employ me it seems. 

Had as a lot of money to play with in Jan as picked up Marcus Edwards at the start of the season on a free but didn’t like him and he didn’t fit my system so sold him for a whopping £10m so that’s a win for me. Coaches didn’t like him either.  Picked up a tasty looking Brazilian teenage striker who will hopefully develop well (my bronze scouts reckon he could be good but what do they know) and also brought in my usual lad, Marcos Paulo. He cost more than my last save so here’s hoping he’s going to be a worldly. 

I’ve got a soft spot for this kid so will have to change my system again but now I’m in the Championship I’ll resort back to my usual tactic for decent teams rather than my low league ‘punt it to the 3 strikers’ tactic. 

 

Edit: just got offered the Rotherham job but they’ve just been relegated from the Championship. Pointless to take it.

Season 4

New tactic seems to be working very well. Took the Championship by storm. It’s ugly and I hate it but it’s got me to the prem. I hit a stinking bit of form from Feb-April and 6 of my losses came in about 10 games but managed to reign it back in for the final run in.

National rep now too so I’m hoping to pick up a Prem job (Leicester is very insecure so I’m prepping my cv and waiting for the call) but until then, I’m stuck here.

I fell for Accrington in my first effort but I don’t have the same feelings for Leyton Orient. I hate it here haha. Apart from my two boys of course. Marcos Paulo developing really nicely (also managed to give him a new contract without the minimum fee release clause he wanted when he first came) and the Brazilian Bargain with a long name has responded well to a year of Target Man training (27 goals and 16 assists) If I move I’m taking these two with me. 

Just need to keep the vultures at bay...

Update. 

I’d just started building my Orient team for a tough relegation battle when I received a call. Watford are interested in my services. 

They came up from the Championship with me last year but are in much better shape financially (£45m war chest), facilities and players. 

Orient want £40m for that Brazilian striker so he’ll not be coming with me unfortunately. 

Let’s see what this season holds and the huge Orient v Watford fixture on the day before my birthday.

Season 4 - Midseason Update

After the fallout of the Qatar World Cup there were a few international jobs going. Thought this might accelerate my reputation so applied. 

Belgium offered and I happily accepted.

Season 5

Good work by the boys here this season. We managed to bag a Europa League spot. Just. I’ve been tweaking a new formation so hit a terrible run of form towards the back end of the season but I’m happy with it now so no more tinkering from me. 

Only played 3 games with Belgium. Lost to N Ireland first game (didn’t go down well) and won other two.  More qualifiers coming up. 

Manager stats show slight improvement this season but crashed out both cups early.  Bagged MOTY however.

Season 6

We've only gone and bl00dy done it!

Liking my new tactic - will have to run it for a season from scratch with another team to test it properly at a later date but lots of goals scored - A few too many conceded too - but just pipped Liverpool to the title by one point.

A massive achievement for Watford at this stage. 

Also beat Arsenal on penalties to win the FA Cup to complete the double. 

A few of my players have become absolute beasts. I needed a winger last season and found this guy (his stats weren’t as good at this at the time!) and he’s turned out to be incredible (Ronaldo regen maybe?). He takes my corners which add to his assists but he’s amazing. 

One of my young defenders is starting to look World Class too. He’s my free kick taker and has bagged a fair few goals from CB!

Watford’s own Ryan Cassidy is pretty tasty now too...

And finally, my stats:

Big summer ahead as have a few positions to strengthen still and need a better squad if I’m to compete for the Champions League. 

Even bigger summer on the international stage as I helped Belgium qualify for the Euros. 

Bit of a group of death however! Let’s see how we do...

Season 7

Well what do you know, the boys can play!

A very special season all round here. Lost the Community Shield against Liverpool and feared for the worst. Then went undefeated for the season in the league! Lost one or two games in CL but progressed to the final and won. Knocking out Barcelona along the way in a massive 7-6 aggregate score. A very solid quadruple...

Martial has been an absolute monster as my left sided inside forward banging in 44 goals. Lopes on the right had an equally good season to the last one despite playing fewer games and Cassidy is still solid up top. Personally I’d like him to get a few more goals so may shift him in the summer.

Manager stats are strong. I’m World Class now but need to serve 5 years at Watford to get the achievement and this is only my 3rd season with them so I’ve got to play two more season still. Totally forgot about that so that was a blow!

 

INTERNATIONAL

Took Belgium to the Semis of Euro 2024 and decided to resign even though the FA we’re happy as my heart isn’t in International management.

at least as I have two seasons to go for the achievement I’ll be able to take England to the 2026 World Cup finals!

Season 8

Rushing through to the finish line now. I’ve done everything and won everything possible with the team. Just need one more season to pass the 5 year mark at Watford and get the achievement. I forgot about the 5 year bit of it so it’s been a struggle to get these two seasons done well when I thought I could move on!

Not as good a season as last year, crashed out the Carabou Cup early and lost in the final of the Champs League  picked up everything else though.

Rep strong, just need to pass the time:

 

I resigned from England after winning the Nations League as I just want to get this done now so the few games the better.

Season 9

Domestic triple. No CL as was knocked out in 1/4s. Also annoyingly no achievement after 5 full years at Watford and my World Class rep. Looks like I’ll have to keep going.

Well done with this as you’ve done really well especially when you look at your net spend.😀

I’m wondering if maybe you need to just go over to a new season for it to class as five seasons at World Class but guess we’ll find out on your next update.

Season Ten

Another successful season, although CL alluded me. Only lost two games all season though. 

Have been world class for 4 years and at Watford for 6 now and no achievement. Hmm. Will keep plugging on!

Season 11

The boys are back in town. Won everything I was involved in. Lost 2 games all season. Drew 4. Won the rest. +113 goal difference is pretty epic  

Stats high. Still no achievement so not sure what’s happening here...

Goals and assists from all over the place  Camacho and Lopes are my wingers - not too shabby! Mears is a young English lad I signed to lead the line. He’s got bags of potential at only 21.

 

Not sure what’s happening about the achievement so I’ll give it one more season...

Season 12

 

and I’ve been shafted by the achievement again it seems. Reset all achievements before starting this one but I should have had it years ago and it’s still not showing. FMM must not have not reset this one. 

Cracking season again but knocking this one on the head now. I’ll have to wait til FMM20 it seems!

Shame as did really well in both saves but with no achievement, for can’t consider this complete. 

Balls. 

Well at least I had fun. Now for a new challenge...
