Career My First Challenge - Strikerless DT/TT

So it has been a long time since I first decided I wanted to begin attempting FMM challenges. I would have started one long before now, however the last update took some enjoyment out of the game for me lately. But I'm back, rearing to go with this challenge, ready to attempt a Triple Threat and Double Trouble Strikerless! 

Now for the important stuff. 

Team Choice:

I had 3 clubs in mind when I needed to choose my team. Real Madrid, Barcelona, or PSG. I've gone for... 

... purely because I haven't used them this year, and the other two teams are being used in a few challenges quite recently. They have plenty of £££'age to spare, and already boast a world class (and fairly young overall) squad.

I have never actually used any of these guys before, but I have come across them in various saves and they have always looked like decent players. I managed to bring all 3 in for just over £30m, which is great as it means I have excess funds to bolster elsewhere. Let's hope Barcelona and I can turn these 3 into absolute beasts!

Okay so not the greatest of starts, but definitely not the worst. 42 goals between them, and I already have my hopes up for these young lads. One thing I'm worried about is Soro and his stamina do not seem to be growing too much at all. Let's hope this changes in seasons to come.

A very successful season, only losing out to the league due to losing 2 games to fierce rivals Real Madrid. Well done to them, they earnt it. Those were the only 2 games we lost the entire season. Goal total isn't half bad either for a first season. Once this tactic gets going I'm sure the goals will be flowing more freely. 

I'm almost at the end of season 2, and I'll post another update as soon as time allows. Thanks to all those that have been reading, I hope you're enjoying my first challenge. Its going to be a struggle that's for sure!

I was hoping to see a few more games and goals this year, but was again slightly disappointed. Although he only hit the magic age of 20 half way through the season, and his stamina meant he still struggled to play many games. If his stamina and goals don't grow drastically soon I could already be facing defeat at this challenge 

I was very pleased with Stengs growth and performance this season. A slight change drop in GPG but he's bagging lots of assists. He looks to be developing into a solid IF. 

Performed similarly to Stengs, which is impressive considering his age. Pretty pleased again but overall I need to take a step back and adapt my tactic to make sure the goals come thicker and faster in seasons to come. Oh, and this w also made me happy:

As you can see the team goals are flowing. I was very pleased with the season overall. However, I'm playing a flat 3 in the middle and between them they are scoring Alot, even with non-playmaker roles. Between my main 3 CMs this season they bagged 30 goals. 30 goals that I wish had gone to our main 3 lads. Fingers crossed I can adjust my tactics and ensure this happens! 

Anyway, the closing of Season Two sees our guys on total goals of 100/1500.

Nice start that. The early years are always difficult but your returns look good to me and I’m sure once they get older you’ll be able to get them more minutes on the pitch.

Quick question guys. I got the Spain job right at the beginning of season 3. I know Soros INT goals can't count for the DT or TT but could they count towards a 1k?

Yes. You are essentially just adding another challenge in.

Not left this game, just been hectic with life stuff recently. Did complete S3 yesterday evening though, and will post an update later today.

Season 3

I wasn't happy with my tactic going into the season. I was winning games and trophies, and scoring a vast amount of goals. However, my midfield was 'stealing' alot of our young lads glory. I made some pretty drastic changes to my formation, with the biggest change the decision to retrain Marin to play as a CAM. He was unhappy with this decision, and showed a poor aptitude, but I stuck with it none the less, as I'd tried similar things in other saves with some success. This was make or break time for this career.

Managed to play a few more games this season, but no drastic increase in goals. I was very pleased with his amount of assists, however. 

Im hoping he has some more development left in him, as he is starting to develop real nicely. Also, managed to secure a few games for Spain under my management, although he was often not fit enough to justify playing him. 

I was expecting more from Stengs this season, especially considering his stamina way out shines the other 2 guys. He still scored a good amount of goals, and with a new tactic and position I'm sure he's just getting started. 

Great season in my opinion from this guy. Especially as he played out of position the entire season! Probably my favorite player for this save so far. Expecting big things to come. Also helps that's hes my main set piece taker as the other 2 are dire when taking them. 

A total of 81 goals towards the TT, which is a step in the right direction. 35 total towards Soro's potential 1k.

Just an example of a typical result this season. Happened too many times, but I'm hoping this will improve as the team gets used to the new system.

I was happy with how the season went overall, how sitting at a total of 181/1500 goals. I really need to start hitting bigger numbers in seasons to come now though as the lads enter their prime. Hoping to see triple figures from now on... Fasten your seat belts.
