Thank you Rob, yeah hopefully as I improve the squad and my boys get older we’ll be able to get the bigger returns.

Season Three

Evening Vibers,

I’m back with my second update of the day. The boys haven’t exactly set the world alight so far but they are showing potential and we’ll be looking for an improved return this season.

Transfers

It’s safe to say we did a good bit of business this season. If you’ve read any of my previous careers then you’ll probably notice a good few of my incomings as I’ve brought a lot of tried and tested boys in. We went big on Mandragora who will be our deep laying playmaker for hopefully years to come. Lazaro and Beijmo are both good right wing backs and Zakaria is a decent option in midfield. I’ve used Stark before at Napoli and he’s a no brainier at centre back. Lopez and Stankovic are two goalkeepers that I brought in and Gunter is a left wing back who is decent. Also I’ve noticed there’s a load of great wing backs you can pick up from Germany for decent value for money.

Team Performances

League

No problems here and we’re at the stage now where I don’t suppose there ever will be. It’s nice to get over ninety goals though and now we can target over one hundred for next season.

Super Cup

First Tinpot Cup of the season and we made hard work of it against PSV. The main man Jun Se-Jin got the winner and we had a man sent off. When I get a red card I always keep the two up top as the challenge states which makes thing interesting but we got it done here.

European Super Cup

Made hard work of this against Man Utd. We went 2-0 up early but let it slip and needed a late winner from Benassi to win the cup.

Club World Championship

We could only manage a 2-0 win here but I suppose River aren’t a bad side.

Dutch Cup

Not the best day at the office for our boys but we did win and two of the goals came from our duo.

Champions League

A more resounding victory here as we beat Man Utd 2-0 to win our second European Cup thanks to two goals from Jun Se-Jin.

Fixtures

A few poor 0-0’s again this season and I’ve noticed with my system that sometimes we get games where we have loads of shots  but hardly any on target. Not sure whether it’s my tactics or the players just being inconsistent.

Double Trouble Duo

Jun Se-Jin

He’s getting rather good now in certain areas with his aerial and shooting jumping up a good bit this season.

How did he perform this season?

He did a bit better this season with 46 goals in 43 games.

Mohamed Bangoura

Steady improvements mainly in stamina and movement. Still hard to get him on the pitch for many minutes but that’s just his age I think.

How did he perform this season?

Not as good as last season with just 20 in 34 games.

An improved return for the boys with 66 for the season. I have had offers come in for the Korean guy but no problems keeping him yet.

Thanks, not sure but I think it might be that I usually try to go for all round type players in midfield which you can do at big clubs. It might be something that goes against me though in goalscoring challenges.

Season Four

Hello Vibe,

Last season we managed a combined total of 66 goals from our duo so this year my target was to get up to around the 80 mark. 

I’ll start with the transfers.

Transfers

All of my transfers are below but the main one was Rongier who came in as a first choice midfielder.

League

League was won in comfortable fashion with just one draw. We scored 93 goals which was actually one less than last season. Would like to get that up over the one hundred mark if we could.

Super Cup

Beat PSV with Bangoura netting a brace.

European Super Cup

Defeat here as we lost to Chelsea on penalties. Didn’t play well but the sending off didn’t help with me then keeping the two up top. Can’t win them all.

World Club Championship

Wasteful in front of goal here which is something we seem to get occasionally. Won the match easy enough though but a good opportunity to bag a few goals for our duo is lost.

Dutch Cup

A combined three goals from our duo helped us beat Pec Zwolle to win the cup.

Champions League

I thought we were going to lose this with going a man down but we got it done in extra time thanks to the main man Jun Se-Jin.

We struggled a bit in the big away games in the Champions League but apart from that we were fine.

Double Trouble Duo

Jun Se-Jin

His Pace has increased by one this season and he’s 22 now so he is getting better fitness wise all the time.

How did he perform this season?

He managed 51 goals in 40 games so it’s a steady improvement from last season. Hopefully we can get him up into the 60’s and 70’s then I’d have confidence we could do this.

Mohamed Bangoura

His physicals have increased slightly which bodes well for the future.

How did he perform this season?

His best season with 35 goals from 42 games. He’s not getting the goals of his Korean partner but I think that’s partly down to my system and as long as the combined total is decent I’m ok with it.

Thank you, yes the Korean guy seems to get the goals and I think it’s my system. I’ll keep it as is for now but if the Korean gets a bad injury I may need to alter my system to get more goals for Bangoura.😀

Thanks Foxy, yes the Korean guy is great and would make a great option for a 1k. I’m not sure on Bangoura yet as he doesn’t get as many goals but my backup strikers are both better than him slightly and I think they score more when they come in so it’s tricky to work out whether it’s my system or not.

Season Five

Hello everyone

We are getting a good way into this now and after our duo managed 86 goals last season we are looking to try and increase that again this season.

Transfers

Not many incomings this year but I did bring back Scott McKenna who I sold a couple of seasons ago as he became an outcast. Anyway he was still an outcast upon returning and the guy who disliked him was my Korean main man so I had to sell him again at the end of the season. Apart from that the only other transfers in were left wing back Andreas Poulsen and a couple of graduates which hopefully we’ll need in a few seasons. We had plenty of outgoings but no first team players this year and they are all below if you’re interested.

No problems here as usual but we did draw a few games. Nice amount of team goals though with 112.

Cups

Super Cup

We beat PSV 3-0 to win the season curtain opener but our duo could only manage one goal between them.

European Super Cup

A nice hat trick from Jun Se-Jin helped us beat Valencia in a rather one sided affair.

World Club Championship

A bit of a disappointing day this as although we won 5-0 in the final our duo could only manage a goal each. Also I have absolutely no idea how this tournament took place as I thought with the World Cup being in the winter this year that it was supposed to be cancelled. I figured maybe Holland didn’t qualify for the tournament so the Dutch league kept going as there’s not that many games in December anyway but not sure why this tournament went ahead. If anyone knows why then let me know.

Dutch Cup

Had to rest the Korean main man here so his understudy with the long name ran riot bagging all four goals to win us the cup again.

Champions League

Disaster here as we lose to Real with Salah doing the damage. Our boys had a rather wasteful day in front of goal and whilst I’m not fussed about the result it means we miss out on a few cup games next season.

Usual manager shots. Still paying the price for getting rid of a lot of the youth in the reserve squad with my youth policy attribute. Buying McKenna and selling him at end of the season probably hasn’t helped my transfer acumen either but that’s life.

Double Trouble Duo

Jun Si-Jin

Not much change here but I think his stamina has increased a touch.

How did he perform?

Another increase this season as he nets 63 goals in 45 games. If we can get him into the 70’s I’d be really happy.

Mohamed Bangoura

His pace increased by one and hopefully he can keep improving in the coming seasons.

How did he perform?

He stunk the place out at times this season after showing good promise last year. He ended up with 27 goals and it looks like we are going to need the Korean guy to fly the flag for us in the next few seasons I’d say.
