It’s John Henderson Rob. He’s a Scottish darts player so he’ll make a fantastic mascot here.😄

Thanks. His face looks like a really crap pizza.

Challenge 1: The Lads from Luxembourg

48C8D83F-B0A9-456B-B9CE-29EC87E71F5E.jpeg.3dd9982d6d7393e105823d3d640411fe.jpeg

Nestled between Germany, France and Belgium Luxembourg is one of Europe’s smallest nations and has a population of approx 600k people which is roughly the same as Glasgow. They do have a long history of playing football with there first international match coming in 1910 when they lost to France 4-1. Unfortunately that loss was a sign of things to come and they have remained one of the weakest teams in Europe.

They first tried to qualify for the World Cup in 1934 and since then have been in the qualifying stage of every World Cup but have yet to ever qualify. In that entire time they have only won 5 World Cup qualifying matches and no team has tried more times to get to a World Cup without actually qualifying at least once.

Your job in this challenge is to build the spine of a team out of players from Luxembourg and play a full season with your assigned club.

  • When you take over at your club you must first sell, demote or return to parent club the highest value GK,CB,CM,ST in your squad. These players must be the highest value player that is light green in those positions and cannot be used at any point in the season.
  • You will replace these four players with Luxembourgers. These players must play every league game unless injured or suspended. With the correct leagues loaded you should have approx 16 players available.
  • You must sign four backup players and they must be used if your Luxembourgers are unable to play. These players can be any nationality but they must be 16 or younger when purchased.
  • No other transfers are allowed into the club.

Points

Your score will be League points + GD and in the event of a tie it will be the team which conceded the least goals between both members.

Club Choice

Both team members will be competing in the Bundesliga for this full season challenge.

Team Member 1: Hanover @samhardy @smoggy90 @Rob @Kanegan @Ashez

Team Member 2: Hertha Berlin @1759 @Woody @Mr Tree @DutchTony

Rules

  • No editing in anyway.
  • No reloading.
  • No unlockables
  • EME only
  • Screenshots must be submitted in your team PM.
  • If myself or 1759 have any suspicions we may ask for the save and failure to provide it will mean elimination.
  • Failure to submit a score will mean a 0 and will massively let down your teammate.
  • Have fun.

Screenshots required

  • Luxembourg players attributes at the end of the season and player history.
  • Backup players attributes on day they are bought.
  • Attributes screen of the highest value players you dispose of.
  • Transfer history.
  • League table.
  • Manager profile and history.
  • Squad by order of appearances at end of the season.

Deadline: 8pm UK Time Saturday 25th May 2019

Nice challenge for the qualifying round.

Hopefully make a start on this later this evening and I just hope the Luxembourgers available aren’t the pits.😂

I know you're all thinking you've got away with it but that isn't the case as here I am with the odds.

This tournament is sponsored by FoxBet who are partly responsible for the odds.

To Win The Tournament

After careful consideration with @Foxy we came to the conclusion that there is almost nothing between the favourites for this title. With both members of team Scotland @samhardy and @1759 qualifying for the VPL playoffs a couple of months ago they have been installed as the very narrow tournament favourites ahead of Japan containing CC champion @Foxy and the previously world class @Ashez.

Last year's beaten finalists England in @Rob and @Woody are more than in with a good shout as well as are @smoggy90 and @Mr Tree representing Czechia. It wouldn't be a surprise to see any of these 4 take the title.

@Kanegan and @DutchTony are without doubt the underdogs mostly stemming from Tony's disastrous VPL campaign and Kanegan's early exit at the last Challenge Cup.

Scotland - 5/2F

Japan - 3/1

England - 10/3

Czechia - 13/2

Brazil - 16/1

Golden Mobile Award

This is also up for grabs and very tight but @Foxy is the favourite for this one after topping the VPL league phase and winning the CC just ahead of VPL champion @samhardy. VPL semi finalist and former Olympic champion @smoggy90 and @Rob respectively aren't far behind in the betting and it wouldn't be a surprise at all to see either of these walk away with the prestigious Golden Mobile.

Slightly further behind but in with a chance are @1759 and @Woody who as we have seen can both post extremely high numbers in the past. The enigma that is @Ashez follows before @Kanegan and @DutchTony are also the underdogs in this one but will relish trying to upset the apple cart especially Tony.

Foxy - 10/11F

samhardy - 6/5

smoggy90 - 7/2

Rob - 7/2

1759 - 6/1

Woody - 6/1

Mr Tree - 10/1

Ashez - 12/1

Kanegan - 16/1

DutchTony - 25/1

A Few Specials...

Tony to be sacked at any point during the tournament - 8/11

Ashez to say "he didn't enjoy it enough" to post higher numbers - Evs

Woody to misread the challenge rules - 1/100000000000000000 Betting Suspended

Any team to have the highest score in every single challenge - 20/1

No-one to be sacked during the tournament - 5/1

Hopefully I can avoid the dreaded sack in this tournament.

I’m only concentrating on doing my best for my country so the golden mobile doesn’t concern me as I’m a team player.😀
