Haha. Wish he’d do that for me! He scores in most games but hasn’t scored more than 4 for me and there only been a couple of times. Can’t complain though.

Season 11

Not a great season to be honest but keeps me on track to finish the challenge.

I had a few unhappy fringe players so i decided to get rid of them to keep the dressing room happy and replaced them with younger players so didn't have a strong a squad this season. Started off really strongly but when the fixtures list got busy I struggled to be honest.

Troy:

1st screengrab is later due to confederations cup finishing in July (well that's when i crashed out of it anyway...) and I wanted all his international goals for this season.

A big plus point is that he likes me again and is happy so glad he's chilled out there.

 

Struggled due to squad depth but still a good season, board are happy still so all good there.

 

Team stats:

Happy with this performance, everyone chipping in with assists. A few too many goals coming from Gomez but he's my AP so he does go for goal a lot, he also set up 15 so can't complain.

 

On another note, Ireland are pretty terrible now. No new players coming through and the current squad is old and bang average. Losing most of their games and the national board are unhappy but still haven't sacked me. I can't see me hanging on a whole lot longer if we don't pick up. I'm trying to develop any decent looking young Irish players at Bayern (my little side project) but i've only found 1 or 2 that have potential really.

Season 12

A few injuries for the big man this season meant he missed quite a few games. Still got a decent return for the games he did play so I'm happy with the outcome. Just hope this isn't the start of fitness problems.

A couple of his stats declined but I think that's just down to missing 3 months of the season. He got a nice £550k p/w contract to keep him happy too.

CL escaped me again this season which is frustrating as those World Club Championship games always bring goals but hoping to get back on track winning everything for last few seasons.

 

Team playing well together. Asensio is now 34 so is declining but I've got some nice creative players who are laying on the assists like there's no tomorrow - 75 assists from top 4 players.

 

International has been hard, Ireland really have no talent coming through and their current squad was ageing rapidly so we hit a big run of bad form and I was sacked. Not disappointed tbh as I won the World Cup with them in my time there so I'm sure there's a statue of me somewhere in Dublin. I'll just miss the extra goals for Troy but I'm sure i can get this wrapped up in the 4 or 5 good seasons he has left in him.

Season 13

A massive season for Troy banging in 84 goals for Bayern in his biggest club haul yet.

Solid performances all round.

All that leaves us with...

Would be nice to get this wrapped up in 2 more seasons but that's a big ask, 3 is more likely but you never know.

 

B2B 1K - Extra Challenge (tbc)

I'm also pencilling in an extra challenge. Back to back 1k challenges. Mainly because my lad Jaden (what was the wife thinking with that one?!) has just come through the Bayern Academy. He looks genuinely terrible but the coaches reckon he could have something.

He's now my back up striker so I'll see how he develops and if he can pick up any goals while I still focus on Troy. His stats don't like overly promising but lets see what happens. Haven't unlocked a son previously so might fancy this, just have to try it before i'm forced to retire...

Season 14

And the end is near...

Another massive season from Troy here beating the last! If only I'd made these formation tweaks earlier in the season.

Here he is now:

Won the lot aside from the Euro Super Cup. Drew quite a lot of games weirdly over the course of a few weeks but still took the league.

In order to help speed to the finish line of Troy's 1k challenge I took the Ireland job again as it was available. Took them to the Euros but he only managed to bag 6 goals as Sweden knocked us out in the 2nd round. Still, every little helps. 

I'll keep this until the England job comes up for reasons you'll see later on...

He was at 122 int goals when I took  over.

Team stats:

Goals all coming from the big man, assists coming from all over my midfield and wingers (and RB who takes corners). New left winger hit the ground running with 17 assists so very happy there. Both wingers have the "prefer to pass than shoot" trait which seems to really help keep their goals down.

This leaves us with only 57 goals to go to pass the 1000 mark so this must be the season.

 

B2B 1K

Well my lad has come on a long way getting plenty of short sub appearances but I wouldn't exactly call him prolific.

He's developing well though...

I still need to finish Troy's 1k but that gives me 15 seasons for this lad too. Could be tight but let's have a crack. He turns 19 half way through this season too which means he'll be 20 before he becomes the main man up front. Time is against me.

Not far to go with Parrott and it’s safe to say you’ll cross the line there so well done.

Your young lad looks like he will develop well too and I like the high number for technique as that attribute doesn’t seem to increase.

Yeah his technique attribute, with a little pace and strength thrown in, is why I though he might have some potential. Let’s see how much. 

I don’t know if “managers’ sons” have the same potential or if it’s random each time.

Well done with Parrott, i would make your lad first choice now as he will still need plenty of rest so Parrott will hit his numbers no problem. He looks great for 18, plenty of promise.

Season 15

And he's done it. Troy has passed the 1,000 goal mark and handed the baton to my lad as it's his turn for the limelight.

He's still looking very strong but he'll have to settle for being back-up striker now.

Again, happy with assists coming from all over but a few key players are getting old so I'll go for a bit of a revamp over the summer. I thought I'd be ending the save here so didn't have much youth coming through but I guess I've got another 15 season ahead of me so time to scout some youngsters as well. 

Troy 1k - COMPLETE.

 

Phase 2:

Young Jaden took over as main striker half way through the season and managed to rack up a very respectable 30 goals now he's the main man. Stats are looking alright but he turns 20 this year so need to really push the key goal scoring stats fast. 

And here we go:

Troy will stay as long as he's happy to be back up so his final number will go up but it's all about the nepotism challenge now.

There's a world cup this year so hopefully the England job will be available after that.

Season 16

First season with Jaden as my main man, did good. More to come hopefully.

 

Good season for the team:

 

Bit of a revamp with the team this year getting some younger players in to replace some ageing stars (one I sold to Real for £50m two season ago, cost me £210m to get him back. Ouch. But he's perfect for my formation and young. Noah Deumeland btw).

Season 17

Great season from the lad here scoring 70 for club and 11 for England. I've had to rotate him due to his Stamina not being amazing yet and he had a couple of small injuries so he's missed a few games but that's a great return at this point. Looking class too.

 

Undefeated all season:

 

Team working well as usual, assists coming from all over. A couple of my new midfielders want to score rather than shoot but thats helped me when JF has been going through a dry path anyway. Grohe, my corner maestro at RB, is now 31/32 so i'll need to find a replacement for him shortly as he'll be missed but he's got a year left in him i think. He got a big injury last season which hit his stats. He's recovered mostly but it's taken a toll on him.

 

A solid start:

 

Troy is still around but his stats are dipping so i'll leave his updates from now on, he did get another 21 this season however.

Season 18

Strong season for him, not as good as last year for club wth 55 goals (he had an injury that seemed to affect him) but he scored a whopping 32 goals for England as we came runners up in Euro '36 so good all round.

He's developed really well and continues to improve!

 

Undefeated again:

 

This year was a transition year as a few of the old guard moved on and some new blood was brought through. Unfortunately a couple of the new guys are too selfish and score too many goals themselves but I've got some good potential there.

I've got De Laet (Hazard regen i'm pretty sure) on corners and its safe to say he loves them. Other new winger looks to be Salah regen (well, he's egyptian and scout rated him highly so its him or Hossem Ghaly!) and he's young so hopefully can fill that role for years to come. I need to settle on my best midfield and i've done the usual thing of buying lots of nice attractive APs (Poulson is class, i've had him since a younger but his teamwork is 8.) but I need hard workers that want to pass the ball so we'll have a reshuffle this year.

Euro '36:

Did well getting to the final and fancied ourselves against Portugal but they beat us coming back from 2-1 down with 15 mins to go. JadonF did manage to get 17 goals in the tournament though so happy with that performance. Bring on the World Cup in '38

Season 20

Bit of an inconsistent season from JF. Hit 13 from first 4 games then went 8 without a goal. Still came in with a good goal count in the end. Had a World Cup but he only managed 6 there - still got the golden boot though (England came 3rd. Lost in semi to Brazil). 

 

Have been experimenting with the side bringing some youngsters through and had a good season them suddenly out of the blue I was hammered 5-0 by my bogey team Hoffenheim. Lost the super cup too but won everything else  

 

Still haven’t settled on my best midfield but team performed well:

Season 21

Still going strong but if I’ll honest I really can’t wait for this challenge to be over now!

Anyway,

A good season from the lad.

 

Got knocked out the cup early so missed a few games there but didn’t seem to hurt his tally  

 

Happy with most players but will sign a new CM this summer to sit alongside Cornud. Also have a few decent youngsters coming through so happy the squad will be firing on all cylinders for the next few seasons.

Reckon I can wrap this up in 6 seasons.

Yep - Suck, Coch and Kum all features in the World XI. Blaster must be in charge again...

Season 22

I’ll speed through this update. JF had a couple of big injuries so missed a few games again but still a good season. 

Euro ‘40 was eventful. He scored 4 in first two games and then was injured for the rest of the tournament. Didn’t stop England winning it though!

 

Still not undefeated - players lose focus after winning the league - but clean sweep again. 

 

My stats are solid. Haven’t lost many games and my net spend in very low for 22 years worth of signings!

Season 23

Was at the Ashes and moving house this weekend so delayed update. 

Big season again. Won the lot with some big numbers from the young lad. With England we lost in the Confederations Cup to Brazil. A good performance though.

Season 24

Been moving house so haven’t had much time free for this but all sorted now pretty much so back in the game. 

Quick update:

His best season to date. 78 for Bayern and 20 for England. He would have forbidden more but he twisted his ankle before the World Cup so missed 4 games there. Came back just in time for us to get knocked out by Spain the the Quarter Finals.

Best season to date here also. 100 points in Germany is tough. And massive goal difference. Lost in the Semi on the CL however so no world club champ for me next year.

Would be nice to wrap this up in 2 seasons but that’s a big ask. He’s been injured a little lately and stats took a dive but I want to play to the end of the game anyway as haven’t got that achievement so regardless, 6 seasons to go.
