Career Danovic Presents: Elk of the East

Here I am with another few quick updates with my attempt at my own Elkeson Chinese Super League Challenge

After a successful excursion into China with my Bad Boys Challenge, I fancied heading back east and picking up this simple challenge

Scoring as many league goals are you can with Elkeson.

He currently stands at 94 but my challenge stated the starting total of 88 goals. Only league goals counts.

I take over his current club of Shanghai SIPG F.C., where is part of the Brazilian trio with Oscar and Hulk.

Elkeson is in his prime at 28 so hopefully I can squeeze 10 seasons out of him.

Season 1: Shaggang

Outstanding first season from him as he blasts 50 goals! What a dream start here ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Team wise it was almost clean sweep as we just fail in the final of the Club World Cup.

Season 2
Oh dear, after such a good start Elkeson suffers a bad injury lay off which cuts his season short and finishes with just 24 goals 😟

Another easy title and cup wins for us but only a third place finish in the CWC.

Season 3
Back in goals again this time as Elkeson bags 40 to get back on track.

An unbeaten season for us in the league and more cups win. The CWC eludes us again.

Good going so far, unlucky in season 2 with the injury which can’t be helped.

Yeah, with only 30 league games, missing just a handful really hinders you.

Thanks, as I said before China is a cracking little league to play in. Especially for goal challenges.

Sorry for the lack of updates, here we are with seasons 4-6.

Season 4

Another wretched season of injuries for Elk and again he manages just 24 league goals 😩

Awful season club wise too with just the league in the trophy cabinet.

Season 5

Struggled again to hit the big numbers and only managed 30 goals. A goal a game but not really good enough.

Season 6

More struggles as we fail even to get the top scorer award.
More tweaking of the tactics helped the team but not Elk up top and he only notched 18 goals.

A total clean sweep here for us. Couldn't ask for more.

Forgot I had not finished with this one...

Season 7

A much better season for my man as hits 31 goals 👍

A nice unbeaten league campaign as we romped to another title.

Season 8
Now in his mid thirties its becoming tough for the old man to hit the back of the net. He manages 21 this season.

Another domestic clean sweep but failure against Real in the final of the CWW.

 

Season 9

So we give the old man some help up top so I switched to a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Needles to say the new Lewi was on fire! 🔥
The Elk managed a respectable 23 goals. 

Season 10 - Final Season

Into the final season for the 38 year old Elk and he finishes with 16 goals.

We finish with another unbeaten season but cannot manage a clean sweep.

So we finish with a grand total of 365 league goals for Elk. Not too bad but I was looking for 400 plus really.

He doesn't look too great when he hangs his boots up!

Thanks mate. I have actually kept this career going as I wanted to do a 1k with the Lewandowski regen but he has proved to be the best striker I have ever used!

He is just shy of 2k goals now and I am praying he doesn't retire before we can achieve that.

I will post the finishing total and stats but have not got the time to post a full career.

Shall do a quick round up when he retires.
