Career FAILED (Season 11) Double Trouble in Ireland.

Here’s my new challenge and here’s my troublesome two to attempt it:

 

 

Never used any of these two but i do know from Vibe that Troy Parrott becomes a beast. So here goes and maybe I’ll make the leaderboard.

Season 1:

Just gonna day before I upload the screenshots this challenge was a grind and I’ve never raged at FMM as much as I did during this first season.

So the competitions went rather well (apart from the league which was atrocious)

The players grew quite well for their age in Season 1 despite a few injuries hindering growth. Im satisfied.

 

And finally the performances.

10 goals 9 assists first season for Obafemi. Overall decent but I was frustrated at the amount of penalties he missed.

9 goals 7 assists for Parrott again decent but I’m frustrated.

19/1200 goals

16/600 assists

 

In conclusion I feel like the first season has gone very badly and the tactic has a big part to do with it so if you’d have any help for roles etc I’d be very grateful

Unlucky buddy, the first season is always the hardest, I wanted to shoot myself doing my Tony Pulis DT, so I feel your pain. I hope Obafemi and Parrott do better for you, especially Obafemi as he is originally a Saint! Come on Southampton

imo your tactics needs some improvement

If you are using AF and P then you can try through balls with some decent midfielders who can provide defence splitting passes.

I would recommend training parrott as a Target Man(aerial) as that's OP striker role this year and then you can also use your wingbacks/wingers to provide some crosses into parrott up top.

Cheers pal I had through balls on with wide AP’s which were Messi on the Oeft and Coutinho on the right but I’ve since moved to a 41212 narrow. I can never get 2 striker formations to work haha unless I’m in like the Vanarama National League

The early seasons are the hardest but both of your boys are young so you’ve got plenty of time to get things right. 

As others have said I’d personally train both of your boys as Target Men with the focus on Aerial until they both get a really good number for it. You don’t have to play them as target men though but having the high aerial on both guys will give the defence a proper problem. 

I’m not going to give up my double trouble set up but I’ll let you know a bit about it and it might help you. I had Bangoura as a target man and Jun Se-Jun who scored loads was a AF at first then I put him as a poacher as he got older. I know people talk about the Target man role as being overpowered this year but I’m not sure if it’s the role that’s overpowered or just the fact you can train aerial up so easily. 

In terms of final third instructions I went with Through balls as Se-Jin had a lot of pace and great movement so wanted to get him through on goal as much as possible. I left the overlap and early cross blank as both can be good so just let the players decide but if you end up with two proper beastly players I could see early cross working but I never bothered as I was getting enough goals. I also went for work ball into box to try and stop the long shots from midfielders.

Anyway hope you find some of that useful and it might give you some ideas.

Season 2:

Feeling a lot happier after this season and both players are developing nicely, so here goes.

The Competitions:

Not fantastic but we did get very unfortunate on a number of occasions, we might have got the league but Diego Simeone and his Atletico boys were on fire all season, they scored more than we did and conceded less than we did, but anyway overall a decent season and the board are happy so I’m happy.

Transfers in:

A massive spending spree of over 600 million this season and some real quality came in which is to be expected at that price tag.

 

Transfers out:

And to fund our supermarket sweep some big names left. Didn’t get in with Coutinho and the money I got made it a no brainer. I liked Dembele but I couldn’t guarantee he’d play most games so I cashed in on him too.

 

The Troublesome twos performances:

Im pleased with his numbers considering I’m still tweaking to find the best system for them.

Also happy with Parrott as he was riddled with injuries this season so to hit 22 goal involvements, I’ll take it.

 

Total goals: 53/1200

Total assists: 31/600

 

Conclusion:

Im satisfied with my second season and the progress is there for all to see onto next season and try to top this seasons numbers.

Keep it up mate, both quality players and still very early days. Get that aerial maxed up and when they hit their 20's they'll start to fly.

Season 3:

Transfers in:

Not many signings as I’m finding my system now. Have to sign Donnarumma though.

Transfers out:

Quite a few leaving, ageing players and ones that would never make at this level.

 

Competitions:

Just the three trophies to compete for this season but a treble is always welcome in my books, we’re not blowing away the competition in the league in terms of goals but our defence is strong, so that’s something to build from.

 

The players:

Very disappointing season from Parrott, still experimenting with his role as the player alongside him always seems to score the goals and he’s kind of just a tag along at times.

On the other hand Obafemi carried the challenge on his shoulders this year and hopefully next year they can both be a bit more in sync with each other.

Total goals: 90/1200

Total assists: 49/600

Season 4:

 

Transfers in:

Not much to see here lol, thought I had the required ingredients already.

 

Transfers out:

Fringe players leaving, Ferran Torres was disappointing.

 

Competitions:

Good season in terms of silverware, unfortunately losing both the Copa Del Rey and Champions League finals.

 

The Players:

Decent numbers from Michael this year, he loves 10 assists lol, missed about 6 weeks through injury which was unfortunate, but he’s still developing nicely.

Parrott finally banging in the goals, which is great to see and now we go on to next year where we look to top this seasons numbers.

Im 2 seasons ahead, so I thought I’d upload two today.

 

Transfers in:

Some very good regens picked up this season.

Transfer out:

Some deadwood and unhappy players out.

 

Competitions:

Just the league this season, but my highest points tally yet.

 

The players:

Very good numbers again and due to injuries and disappointing cup runs he done it in a lot less games.

Again same as Parrott good numbers so few games.

 

Total goals: 221/1200

Total assists: 85/600

Parrott has been extremely consistent every year for the past 4 seasons, I just need him to hit the next level now and we’ll be golden.

On the other hand Obafemi struggled at times.

Atleti pipping me to the league again, Real Madrid have been awful throughout this career.

Manager stats after 11 season:

 

The players:

I’ve decided after 11 seasons to call it a day on this challenge, Parrott is 28 years old now but wants to leave and he won’t even entertain the idea of a new contract.

Obafemi on the other hand is 30 years old and already starting to decline.

Thanks to everyone who checked in on my attempt, I need to go away and practice two striker formations lol. 

But yes I’ll put the final games, goals and assists in at the bottom and we can all see how far behind I was.

Again thank you and this was fun to attempt but this is me admitting defeat.

 

Total games: 1155.

Total Goals: 653.

Total Assists: 221.

Kangin Lee was brilliant, mainly utilised as  a Winger, which wasn’t his main position but he was good nonetheless.
