Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) Good Evening All, CHOOSING THE CAREER I have chosen this career due to the current position of Bolton Wanderers FC.They have fallen from Premier League regulars to not winning a single game in League one so far in 2019. I wanted to manage the club and try and peice together their fall, as well as see if I could change there fortunes. STADIUM AND FACILITIES As you can see below, Bolton's Facilities are both "great" and "impressive". A lot of clubs would be envious of Bolton Wanderers facilities. The stadium also holds over 28000 which is a lot of support for a league one side. HOLIDAY & ASSISTANT MANAGER As with my other saves, my process as manager involves setting out my holiday stance and delegation as seen below: STAFF,FINANCE AND TRAINING One of my first actions as Manager was improve the staff team, which was lacking bodies & quality(Mostly Basic qualified Staff). Then, finance was my num.1 priority knowing the situation of the club in real life and the board provided me roughly 3m in Transfers - I made sure we did not fall into the red. With Training, I delegate to my Assistant Manager like Sir Alex Ferguson used too.👍 TACTIC The tactic I used for Bolton was the famous Leicester City 2015 tactic. The tactic was inconsistent and sometimes leaky in defence. This being said, it was amazing when it worked with a fully fit squad & we went on prolonged runs without losing(16 matches) and scored many goals. SQUAD As you can see below, Bolton Wanderers had a very big squad as well as lacking quality all over the squad. I got rid of a lot of players either via free or loan but often for good money which helped secure the clubs finances (millions) , Something I would suggest they do in Real life. I did not buy many players but the ones I brought in had quality & were very experienced at this level. THE RESULTS As you can see, The season was very successful & we both won League One as well as got to the Checkatrade trophy final. Just from this save - I would put there current torrid history down to very poor management, too many players & bad recruitment. I desperatly hope we dont see this club slide down the leagues as we have seen to others! MANAGER STATS LEAGUE STATS Really tempted after seeing you build manchester united and bolton, to build my hometown club Blackburn rovers back up. Any advice you or anyone else can give when doing these rebuilds would be appreciated. 0 Quote Report Share

Afternoon @Mr Tree, I have downloaded an update which has teams in the right league. I accept what you say about championship calibre players performing better.Until 2020 FMM, this is the closest I can get to the real life scenerio. It still manages to provide a great insight into how the club performed last year and some of there pitfalls. 0 Quote Report Share

Posted August 29, 2019 Not sure what you've done is an exact recreation of the Bolton Challenge if I'm honest They had only 7 players at the start of this season and are using mainly youth players and would never have a healthy financial position aswell, a true challenge would be to use the editor to get rid of all the players that left in real life etc Nothing against what you have done, which is still cool and was a well made post 0 Quote Report Share

Posted September 1, 2019 Many thanks for all the replies recieved. First of, I know it is not an exact FMM recreation of the Bolton FC situation. The scenerio was just that I updated the clubs to be in the correct leagues & played with the team provided for Bolton FC. Secondly, I did really enjoy this challenge. I remember Bolton FC being a force in the Premier League & think its desperatly sad the situation Bolton and Bury find themselves in. I appreciate every view and comment though!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Kind regards, Stuart 0 Quote Report Share
