Career Ian - Moise Kean 2kc and full 30 seasons - Tactic - The End

Hello Vibe and welcome to my latest career where I’ll be going for goals with the rather tasty youngster in Moise Kean at Juventus. I’ve completed a good few challenges this year and had planned on my triple threat being my final long save but things change and having completed a few seasons with Kean the decision was made that I might as well post the thing up.

I’ve used a few unknowns in my recent goalscoring challenges but here I’ve taken a different approach as I’m sure most of you will of at least heard of Moise Kean as he’s probably one of the best young strikers on the game. Basically I wanted to use a great young striker and it was between Brewster at Liverpool or Kean at Juventus and obviously supporting the reds the temptation was strong to use them but having looked at the two players I much prefer Kean so I went that way.

Here’s the 1000 Goal Challenge and credit to @danovic78 for creating it. I’ll be hoping to hit 1.5k goals but that depends on whether I can get the Italy job fairly early into the save as if not we’ll have to lower the target.

Anyway for confirmation here are my choices.

Player: Moise Kean

499AF09C-E519-4DB0-A5B7-2E41FD6489A0.thumb.png.bde85be097aef53008892ca6ad60f43a.png

He’s got brilliant starting attributes and at 18 is already fairly well developed. Good pace, strength, aerial, shooting and movement with decent passing and mental attributes including aggression which I personally love. I’m confident he’ll develop into a beastly forward and hopefully score plenty of goals.

Club: Juventus

I’ve managed in a few weaker leagues for goalscoring challenges recently and wanted to go for a slightly tougher league with using a better player so Italy seemed perfect and of course Moise Kean plays for Juve on this game so an easy decision to make.

I have another target for this save and that is the 100 Goal Club Challenge created by our 2kc completist and Strikerless King @Rob so credit to him for that. I am actually already a member of the club but near the bottom which although is still a fantastic achievement I’d love to improve my standing and just hitting the 100 goals in this league will guarantee I do just that. I’ll also be looking at other things such as assists and International goals if I get the Italy job but my main focus is on the 1.5k goals and 100 goals club.

Well that’s the introduction done and I’ll be back with an update of the how the first season went in a day or so.

Thanks for reading.

So, this is what you have been cooking. Kean is a good player, so hopefully you achieve this and good luck to you.

Thank you Kane, yes I started it with no real intentions of posting but here we are and yes hopefully he can either get the goals or complete the 100 goals club.

Good luck mate, cracking player to try it with. Look forward to seeing how this career goes.

Thank you Smoggy, yes he seems like a great all round striker.

you're using an Everton player?!?!?

Yes I am Mr Tree and a fine player he is. I have no real hatred of Everton and actually like to see them doing fairly well. I think supporting Liverpool whilst not being from the city has given me a different perspective. Neville Southall for example is my favourite keeper of all time, a truly magnificent goalie!

@Ian sounds a cracking challenge. Good luck.

Thanks Rob, hopefully we can have a good crack at hitting our targets.

I have noticed on my saves Serie A usually has teams scoring lots of goals and even in real life Italian games have been quite high scoring for some time. This will be an interesting one, good luck.

I have similar feelings towards certain other clubs and their players but I’ll leave it at that.😂

Thanks, I managed in Italy on a few other challenges earlier on in the year and always managed to score a decent amount of team goals after a few seasons anyway so hopefully I can repeat that here and get Kean to score the majority of them.

I've always wondered why no one has picked a player like Kean for their 1000 goals challenge. Great attributes for an 18-year old player. Good luck

Thank you Shosky, yes he seems a really good striker and at 18 is still young enough to hopefully get plenty of years done.

It’s not often we see 1k in Italy but Kean is quality and I’m sure he will get you over or at least close to that 1.5k.

Thanks Mr Fox, I hope you are right.

Season One

Here we are at the beginning of our journey and with it being the first season the primary aim is to try and shape the squad and hopefully get a reasonable goal return for Moise. I am using a new tactic that is based on one I created earlier in the year so we’ll just have to see how it goes but I do have my other 1k system to fall back on if required.

Let’s see how the season panned out shall we?

Moise Kean

He’s showing good signs of development all over with the only concern being his low stamina although it’s far too early to be worrying about that as he still has plenty of time to develop in that regard.

389F5093-82F0-4713-8EB4-23592975B535.thumb.png.821d10b9a6e1ed8f35d993b686bbe438.png

He managed to score a fairly decent 52 goals in 53 games which I’m fairly happy with as he must’ve spent the vast majority of the season either slightly tired or jaded. With him already being 19 years old I haven’t got quite as much wiggle room as on some of my previous challenges where my boys were only say 15-16 at the beginning so 50 goals was kind of the minimum acceptable return and we can hopefully build on that next season.

Transfers

I brought a few young lads in for the future and I’m sure most will have used a few of them before. Rúben Dias is a great young central defender who I’m confident will do a great job for us for many a year to come. There are some great young Italian midfielders on the game and I went for two here in Nikolò Zaniolo and Rolando Mandragora who should both develop into fantastic players. I’ve decided to buy as many Italian players as possible as it will make managing Italy a lot more bearable if we can get the job anyway. Italian wing back Claud Adjapong was purchased and Cristian Pavón came in as a fairly cheap option for a great winger. I’m using an attacking midfielder in this set up so went for Hakim Ziyech with the hope that he can produce the goods. In terms of outgoings the most notable has to be Moise Kean leaving for Valencia, nah only joking he hasn’t gone anywhere so being listed as an outgoing transfer must be a bug. Anyway I’ve been trying to sell Ronaldo all season as he’s still valued really highly but to no avail as of yet. Paulo Dybala was a tricky one as I kind of wanted to keep him but the offer was good so he went as the main outgoing transfer.

We won everything we competed in which was great for the first season and will give us a few extra tinpot cup games next year where hopefully Kean can net a few more goals.

The league was rather comfortable with just one defeat and seven draws whilst scoring a decent 86 goals. We ended up finishing a whopping 27 points ahead of both Roma and Napoli but there were only 5 points separating the teams from second to fifth so you can see there was some battle going on for the three remaining Champions League places with Milan just missing out.

The Super Cup final against Milan was rather one sided but we just couldn’t find the net until veteran centre half Giorgio Chiellini came up trumps by scoring the winning goal from a corner in the last minute of the game to hand us our first cup.

We had no real issues on our run to the Italian Cup final as Consenza were hit for six in the first round, Atlanta beaten 3-1 away in the quarters and Roma dispatched over two legs in the semi to set up a final against Fiorentina. They gave us a scare in scoring the opening goal fairly early on but Ronaldo netted a second half brace to give us the victory and another trophy.

We beat some great teams in the run up to the Champions League final including Bayern, PSG and Roma and once in the final I was pleased to see we would be facing off against Atlético Madrid as I just fancied we’d be too much for them and get the win. Win we did and a nice 3-0 scoreline with Kean getting two of the goals to round off a fantastic opening season.

Manager

My attributes are starting to take shape and whilst we’ve spent a good bit of money so far I’m actually hoping to keep my spending more reasonable on this save if possible. I threw the kitchen sink at it on my triple threat challenge and ended up wasting such a lot of money on players who would then fail to perform.

Score

Moise Kean

Season 01: 52 goals in 53 games

Total: 52/1500 goals

A decent start and plenty of promise being shown by Kean but the 1500 goal total is looking a long way off so an improved return is needed next season to keep on track.

Thanks for reading and comments are greatly appreciated.

Great start mate, i'm enjoying playing in Italy, the only downside is not many cup games against lower league opposition for you to rack up the goals!

Thanks Smoggy, I totally agree on the lack of cup games and I think I’ll definitely need to get the Italy job to have a chance of hitting the 1.5k.

I won’t be sharing the tactic at the moment I’m afraid. Not sure if I ever will on this one as the main point of this challenge is creating your own tactic. If I do decide to share a tactic I will do so in the tactic section of the forum.

How about actually commenting on how his 1st season went rather than asking for tactics.

Thank you very much Woody! Strangely enough I couldn’t even share the tactic anyway as it’s not finished. I’m making the odd tweak every so often to try and improve it as I go.

Season Two

We made a good start in our first season last year as Kean scored 52 goals in 53 games and the team completed the clean sweep. This season we are quite simply looking for a higher goal return from Moise and to continue to rebuild the squad.

Moise Kean

Kean did indeed improve his return and whilst it’s not a massive return by any stretch of the imagination I feel we can be happy with it at this stage. The said return was 62 goals in 52 games to take his total up to 114 which at 20 years old isn’t too bad.

He’s gradually improving in attributes across the board but the most pleasing was his stamina increasing to from 12 to 14 which is a great sign.

Transfers

We brought in a few more Italians with young keeper Gianluca Donnarumma coming in for a whopping £83m but I feel it could well turn out to be money well spent as at just 20 years old he should be our number one goalkeeper for at least the next 10 years you’d think. We also went fairly big on centre half Alessandro Bastoni and right winger Fedrico Chiesa. Davide Calabria was brought in to battle it out with Adjapong for a place at the right of defence. I’ve used Alex Telles a few times so no real surprise that I’ve gone for him here although the fee was a little higher than I’d liked to have paid. I decided we needed a young back up striker and Alessio Canessa was the chosen player and hopefully he’ll develop into a decent player. I didn’t really want Ramsay but thought I’d give him a go which I did but in the end we offloaded him. In terms of outgoings the funniest must be Cancelo signing for four different clubs and Manchester City twice. The thing is I can’t actually remember who the club was that actually did sign him. It’s a strange bug as it’s not like the game gives you all of the money from the supposed transfers as if you look at this seasons total outgoings it’s at £414m compared to my manager profile further down which shows my total outgoings at just £374m.

We won the lot again as our boys continued their domination. We lost a couple of games in the league but scored a nice 111 goals which was a vast improvement on the opening season. Milan managed to rebuild after just missing out on the top four last year as they were comfortably the second best side this season.

The European Super Cup didn’t exactly go to plan as we needed penalties to beat Lazio. We got the job done though but Kean couldn’t manage to get himself a goal which was dissapointing.

A brace from Moise helped us beat Auckland City 5-0 in the Club World Championship. Nothing much else needs to be said as unfortunately there was such a gulf in class between the two sides.

The Super Cup was won easily enough as we beat Fiorentina 3-1.

We weren’t fantastic in the Italian Cup final but were the better side as we limped to a 1-0 win over a decent Inter Milan side after we’d beaten Milan and Roma on route to the final.

We had beaten two decent Spanish sides in Atletico Madrid and Sevilla to set up a rather tricky semi final against Liverpool where I honestly thought we’d go out. We did however manage to defy the odds and beat them 3-2 on aggregate to set up a mouthwatering final against Manchester City. The final was a close encounter but we came out on top with a Moise Kean penalty at the end of the first half proving to be the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory.
