Season Three

We’ve started well so far with a couple of decent seasons and I went into this season looking for another improved return from Kean to keep us on track.

Let’s see how he got on.

Moise Kean

Moise did indeed improve his return as he hit 82 goals in 59 games. He’s just turned 21 a few months ago and we have 196 goals chalked off already so I’m happy with that. I have a few ideas of tweaks I could make to my tactic and I’ll try a few over the next few seasons as I’m not sure my current set up will give us a chance of hitting the 100 goal club.

He’s still improving in all areas and his aerial maxed out during the season. I’d really like his stamina to improve a bit more and I have got two fitness coaches so hopefully that’ll help.

Transfers

We went big on Alphonso Davies who is a nice winger who I believe I brought in on the community challenge save. Matteo Politano is a half decent Italian winger who I’m hoping will be great as a rotation option. Both Christian Eriksen and Timothy Weah were brought in for free and I had thought about selling them on for a nice profit but decided in the end to keep them around for a season or two anyway. A rather nice offer came in for Douglas Costa from Real Madrid and the board took over and I had to accept it but I would’ve sold anyway I’d say as he’s getting past his peak now. Miralem Pjanic was also offloaded to Real for decent money and bringing in Eriksen meant Aaron Ramsay hardly played so he was sold for a small fee.

Team Performances

We won the lot again and scored a fairly decent 101 league goals as the team continued their domination. We have a really great squad of players with no real weaknesses and a good few of the boys are still fairly young so hopefully we can continue this success for a few seasons yet.

We did draw five games and lose three in the league but we were still crowned champions with a good few games to go. Napoli and Inter had a good battle for second place with Napoli just edging it and I can see those two teams being our main challengers over the next few years. 

We beat Rapid Vienna 2-0 in the European Super Cup with Kean getting one of the goals. We were well on top for the whole match so would’ve liked a bigger score line really but can’t be helped. 

We played Cruz Azul in the Club World Championship and again frustratingly we couldn’t get the goals our domination probably deserved. We did win 1-0 in the end so just have to be happy with the victory I guess.

We played well again in the Super Cup against Inter with Kean and Eriksen getting a goal each in a 2-0 victory. 

Atalanta awaited us in the Italian Cup final and we won 2-0 in another comfortable final with Kean getting one of the goals.

Our opponents in the Champions League final were giants Real Madrid so I expected it’d be a tricky tie but that’s not how it turned out as we were much the better side in a 3-1 victory. Kean got one of the goals and had another chalked off late on as I decided to keep him on for the full match with it being the last match of the season.

A decent third season for the team and Moise. I’ve been monitoring Italy and Mancini’s position as manager is now very insecure after they’ve lost a few games in a row so hopefully that poor form will continue and the job will become available soon.

Cheers Smoggy, yes I hope we can hit the 100 goals as it’ll definitely beat my previous score with there being less cup games in this league. I’ve used Davies a few times and he’s always done great and that fee won’t seem so big if we keep him for around ten years.

Season Four

During pre season Italy and Mancini parted company so I applied and this happened.

Of course I’ll take it.

He’s already scored eight international goals and hopefully we can get him plenty more.

So we now have the Italy job and it really gives us a chance of hitting the 1.5k. I won’t quite go into as much detail on the International scene and will just show the games where Kean performs well and hopefully any finals we get to.

I’ll focus on the club first and go through the transfers.

Transfers

I finally managed to get a hold of Sandro Tonali but it took a whopping £84m to persuade Red Bull Leipzig to let him go. I also went for another Italian in wing back Luca Pellegrini as I like the idea of having most of the Italy team also playing for me at Juve as it’ll make the whole international thing more bearable as I’m not overly keen on it if I’m honest. We also went big to bring in Mattijs de Ligt who should be a great first team player defender for a good few years. Keeper Jan Oblak and Mauro Icardi came in both for free and I immediately sold Icardi on as PSG cane in with a big £100m offer. I decided to keep Oblak on as we needed a second keeper and he should fit the bill. I’ll be taking a different approach in this save as I usually don’t go in for regens until later in the save but with having the Italy job I’ll be looking to get in any promising young Italians to hopefully aid us going forward internationally.

Club Performances

We had another strong season in winning all competitions we entered. We scored 104 league goals which is great but I feel we’ll need to improve upon that in the coming seasons if we are to get Kean into the 100 goal club. It was the two Milan clubs that battled it out for second place with AC Milan just scraping it on goal difference. We weren’t brilliant in the European Super Cup but Moise got himself a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Manchester United so we can be pleased with that. We faced off against Boca in the Club World Championship and dominated the game with Kean netting a brace in a 3-0 win. Kean was again on the scoresheet in the Super Cup final as we beat Atalanta 2-1 in a rather one sided match. We beat Cagliari 5-0 in the Italian Cup final but unfortunately Kean could only contribute one of the goals. Real Madrid were our opponents in the Champions League final and we got the job done as we won 1-0 but Kean had a poor day in front of goal which was a shame.

International

Moise managed 15 goals for Italy in his first season and we are still in the World Cup going into the new season. I’m actually using my other system for Italy as I feel it’s a bit safer from a results perspective and we want to avoid the risk of getting the dreaded sack. It’s still a 1k system though so Kean should still get plenty of goals and if things are going swimmingly then I may switch it up later anyway. Also I can’t understand why the World Cup is being played in the summer of 2022 but can’t be helped.

Kean hit 84 goals in 59 games this season and combined with his Italy goals takes his season total to 99. I’m hoping that once I’ve got settled into the Italy job we might be able to get him more goals there but for now I’m happy to just take what we can get whilst hopefully getting the results.

Cheers Rob, I really like Kean so far and I feel he has kind of gone under the radar a bit with Pellegri also being Italian and deemed so good. I’ve never really used Pellegri properly but I’d be happy to put Kean up there with him at this stage tbh.

How are you getting these kind of numbers?! I'm 2 seasons in to a 1kc at psg and I just cannot get my striker scoring! Tried every role, numerous formations with ridiculous amounts of tactics and nothing is working! My team is world class but my wingers and midfielders are outscoring my ST, I've even changed the roles to ones that don't encourage them to shoot and changed to control and disciplined but I just cannot get him to score

I’ve played the game such a lot and especially since the winter update and have tested a lot of stuff. My previous 1kc system that I used on my other attempts was a more logical realistic system but this one is a touch more unusual although not utterly ridiculous. It is what it is you just have to test, test and test again until you find things that work. Sometimes you can find things that shouldn’t work in theory but just do.

I usually load up a test save and play 10-20 games with a system and then make a change or two and test again. It’s a slow process but works if you put in the time. Everyone plays the game differently but since winter update I like to sub my main striker off at around 65 minutes practically every match and I find that you don’t seem to get half the injuries if you do that but of course you need a system where he’s scoring first.

I’m actually not overly sure this tactic is at its best yet and I’m still making the odd little tweak as I’m going to hopefully improve it further.

Seasons Five and Six

I’ve decided to double up today so here we go as I start with season five.

Season Five

We got the Italy job last season and made an okay start with Kean netting 15 international goals before the season closed with us still in the World Cup. We’ll see how that panned out on the new season and whether Kean can produce it on the world stage. Domestically I feel it’s just a case of keeping going and hopefully get an even better goal return from Moise if possible.

International

Kean had some great performances for Italy during this season in scoring 27 goals. We won the World Cup after the new season began as we beat Ghana in the final with Moise scoring the opening goal. We won the International League towards the end of the season as we beat Germany in the semi and then Croatia in the final with Kean netting eight goals over the two games. He followed that up by finding the net a further four times against New Zealand in an end of season friendly that ended 7-0.

Moise Kean

Kean put up his best club return yet with a nice 89 goals in 56 games. If we add on his 27 international goals we get a grand total of 116 for the season which I’m rather happy with.

His stamina is looking great at 17 which should make managing his game time a lot easier. I’ll still stick with my two fitness coaches though I think and once he gets to thirty I’ll problem add another as I did with Tekin as I felt it definitely preserved his physicals later on in his veteran years.

Now I’ll quickly go through how the club got on starting with the transfers.

Transfers

We did a good bit of business this season as plenty came in and plenty left. The main transfers in were Lucas Paquetá and Nicolò Barella with Lucas replacing Eriksen who went to Barcelona and Barella coming in to hopefully strengthen us in midfield. I’ve got high hopes for Italian youngster David Mancini who will hopefully play a big part for both club and country over the next ten or so years. Federico Bernardeschi wasn’t a planned sale but the offer of £84m was too much to refuse so he went along with a few others to balance the books.

Club Performances

We continued to dominate and went unbeaten in the league. I don’t feel the need to go into as much detail on the league now as it’d be surprising if we didn’t win it comfortably every year from now on in as we were too strong at the beginning of the save never mind now after a few seasons. Moise netted a nice brace to help us beat Bayern Munich in the European Super Cup in a fairly one sided affair. As expected we had no trouble in the Club World Championship as we beat FLA 6-0 with Kean helping himself to three of the goals. I’ve slipped up here and forgot to get the Super Cup screenshot but we did indeed win it as we beat Cagliari 3-1. The Italian Cup final was comfortable as two goals were enough to send us victorious against Napoli even though they got themselves a last minute consolation goal. We ploughed through the Champions League to then face Manchester United in the final in what turned out to be a close encounter. They took an early lead but we soon fought back with Kean netting the equaliser not long after and we just edged it from then on in to win 2-1.

So that’s the highest return yet for Kean and let’s see if he could build on that in season six

Season Six

It’s going really well so far for Kean on his quest to hit 1.5k goals so we just need to keep it going now and hopefully get him close to the 100 goal club that I crave.

I’ll start this seasons update with the transfers.

Transfers

I continued my strategy of buying and developing young Italian players which will hopefully help us turn Italy into a powerhouse which will surely aid us internationally. The incomings are all regens who have plenty of promise so we’ll see how they get on over the next few years. In terms of outgoings Barella went for good money as I wasn’t keen on him in the end and Can kicked up a fuss and wanted out so he was offloaded to along with a couple of other squad players.

Club Performances

The league was no problem as usual but we finally lost out on a trophy as AC Milan beat us in the Italian Cup at the quarter final stage. Everything else was won though so still a very successful season for the boys. Chelsea were beaten 3-0 in the European Super Cup with the main man contributing two of the goals. Moise netted a brace in the Club World Championship as we beat GRE 5-0 but it was just a shame he couldn’t get a few more goals but can’t be helped. Napoli took us to extra time in the Super Cup in a tight affair but Mandragora came up trumps in scoring the winning goal after Kean had scored two goals previously. As mentioned above AC Milan knocked us out of the Italian Cup at the quarter final stage as we quite simply left our shooting boots on the coach. We certainly remembered our shooting boots in the Champions League final as we were rather clinical in a closely contested match against Chelsea which ended 3-1 in our favour.

My transfer acumen has taken a hit over the last couple of years but probably still the best manager attributes I’ve ever had on a goalscoring challenge. It’ll be interesting to see how they look at the end though.

Moise Kean

Moise took a slight step back with 87 goals in 57 games and got himself a good few more assists. He’s 24 years old now and if we are to hit the 100 goal club he’s going to need to do it soon you’d feel. I have a few things going through my head in regards to my set up and if he isn’t looking like improving next season I may need to go out of this save and into my test save to see if I can establish what is indeed my best set up as I feel I’m really close.

I feel that this is probably Kean at his best now and he’s truly terrific so it’s my job to get the best out of him from now on in.
