Cheers Kane, yeah I think maybe the time has come to change the target again as the 2k is looking doable now. Only thing is that he hasn’t got enough years let on his deal but I’m hopeful that he’ll sign up at some point.

Wow mate he really isn't slowing up - fantastic!

What is the number of int goals you get to where it resets? Smog jr has just reset and i wanted to double check (sorry if i have missed you mentioning it).

Cheers Smoggy, I know I wasn’t sure myself but then @Rob told me that it gets to 256 and then resets back to 1 on the next goal. I was waiting for it and that was indeed the case for me here with Kean.

Thanks, yeah I don’t think he’ll be able to make it over the years left on his contract but I’m hoping that he’ll sign up for a few more years to give us a fighting chance.

Season Fifteen

Now that we’ve upped the target to 2000 goals there’s a few things we need in order to have a chance of hitting the target. We need him to sign a new deal at some point as there just isn’t enough time on his current one and I also feel we need at least two more big scoring seasons to give us a fighting chance. If we can get him to sign then we are also relying on him playing to a decent level well into his veteran years, I’ve had players do just that this year as was the case with both Emincan Tekin and Jun Se-Jin who both held up well and were producing good returns well into their late thirties but of course not all players are the same so we can only hope Kean can do similar.

International

Kean had another great season for Italy as he found the net an impressive 24 times in a campaign consisting of the latter stages of the European Championships at the beginning of the season, the International League and the early stages of the Confederations Cup just before the season switch over. He found the net three times in the semi final of the European Championship against Holland in a 5-0 hammering with backup striker Gelmini also helping himself to a brace after coming on for Kean midway through the second half. The final was a comfortable affair too as Spain were beaten 4-0 with Kean scoring another hat trick to end an impressive tournament for both him and Italy. Not long into the season the International League started and Austria were on the receiving end of a hammering as we beat them 10-1 with Kean scoring five of the goals. We ended up winning the tournament but it wasn’t plain sailing as it took a penalty shootout victory against France to win the final after playing out a 2-2 draw. Just before the end of season cut off point we played New Zealand in the group stages of the Confederations Cup and Kean produced another great performance for his country as he scored four goals in a 6-0 victory to end the season in some style.

Moise Kean

For club Moise had a fantastic season in scoring 94 goals in 52 games so that’s another really big return and a couple more in a similar ballpark would be just what the doctor ordered. Some of his attributes are dropping but they are still fantastic and we just need to hope they decline slow and steady to give us a chance of hitting the magic number.

We won the lot this season and the highlight was definitely scoring 146 league goals which I believe is our highest yet, a truly incredible scoring feat for the boys. None of our cup final opponents caused us any trouble this season but Moise could only score five goals across all of them, which was slightly disappointing for him.

Season Sixteen

Good Afternoon Vibe,

Kean has held up well so far but at 33 going on 34 years of age you’d think it won’t be too long before we see signs of major decline. It is what it is now though as we just have to hope he keeps it together for as long as possible.

Let’s see how the main man performed this season.

Moise Kean

Moise had another great season in scoring 89 goals in 57 games. He seemed to decline a great deal after he turned 34 but I still think he looks okay and I feel he should still have a few more goals left in him but time will tell on that. Unfortunately he still doesn’t want to sign a new deal which is annoying but hopefully he might after we move over onto the new season as he only has two years left on his deal which won’t be enough to get the job done.

International

A hefty 28 goals were scored by Moise for Italy this season to bring his International goal tally to 335. We had the Confederations Cup to play through at the beginning of the season and I was really looking forward to it as Kean had always performed well in this tournament the previous two times we’ve been in it. He scored 13 goals including two in a 3-1 victory over Spain in the final to end the tournament as top goalscorer. He then went on to score a good few goals for Italy during the season in World Cup qualifiers and friendlies before hitting a hat trick in a 8-0 win over Burkina Faso in the group stage of the World Cup. We’ll continue on with the World Cup after the new season starts where hopefully Kean will hit another goal or two.

Not a lot of business done this season as I felt the team were in decent shape.

Team Performances

Another solid campaign for the boys as we won the lot and only drew one league game. The finals were all relatively comfortable really apart from the European Super Cup where we made hard work of beating Liverpool. We ended up winning the tie 1-0 which was deserved as we were the better team. A particular highlight this season must be Kean scoring against us for LA Galaxy in the final of the Club World Championship as that old bug resurfaced. We won 5-1 in the end with Kean scoring two of the goals. Roma were beaten in the Super Cup, Cagliari in the Italian Cup final and Arsenal in the Champions League final with Kean scoring six goals across those matches to round off a great campaign for the boys.

Conclusion

Another great season for Kean and the team and it’s looking highly likely that getting Kean to extend his deal will turn out to be the key to whether we can do this or not. I’m really hoping that he’ll sign after we move over to the new season as he’ll be into the last couple of years on his current contract then.
