Season 17 Review

Zirkzee

Zirkzee’s attributes are really starting to drop now so I was quite surprised that he still managed more than 50 goals this season, although his aerial is still 20 which helps a lot. He also continued to be prolific internationally with 24 goals which took him over the 200 mark.

His best performance of the season came in just the 2nd game where he single handedly destroyed Napoli.

Boadu & Chong

Both these guys have started to decline significantly now, particularly Boadu who suffered a huge drop in goals and performance levels.

Overall Totals

Zirkzee moved onto 1,150 this season with 2,199 in total from my Dutch trio.

Transfers

I sold a few of the older players in the squad this season to make room for some of the youngsters coming through. I generated a good profit from this with Barcelona bizarrely buying nearly all of them.

Team Performance

As a team we scored less goals than previously which is to be expected given the drop in goals from my Dutch trio.

This was a difficult season to get through to be honest. We struggled to score goals in any match where I started all 3 Dutchmen and I think Boadu & Chong are going to have to be phased out of the team over the next season or two. I am going to try and keep going with Zirkzee at least until the end of his contract but I might have to set myself a few side challenges to keep my interest going in this career.

I managed to somehow miss a few seasons and I come on now to see you’ve done the TT, Zirkzee has passed the 1k mark and scored over 200 international goals. Plenty of goals here, well done!

Thank you very much mate and congrats on your epic Kean career! I'm just pleased I've managed to get this deep into a career, I don't think I'd ever got past 7 or 8 seasons before this.

Seasons 18 - 20 Review

Hello all, this update will cover the final 3 seasons of this career and bring my Dutch adventure to a close so that I can take a much needed break before FMM20 arrives (my wife is constantly telling me I need to go to FMM anonymous!).

At the end of Season 16 I must admit I was finding this career a bit of a chore and needed something to keep me interested, so taking inspiration from Mike F’s recent career, I decided to try and get myself into the 100 club.

I had a pretty special regen that I thought would be perfect for this.

I got close with him in Season 18, falling just 9 short before managing to get over the line in Season 19 with 103 goals.

Zirkzee

The main man of this career took a bit of a back seat while I was going for the 100 club but was still scoring a decent number of goals as a sub and then in the final season, I made him first choice again with 28 goals a pretty good return for a 37 year old.

Boadu & Chong

The goals pretty much dried up for these two as they were mainly on the bench or played out wide but they both still finished with great totals and contributed massively to the TT.

My Assist King

Previously in this career, Luca Pellegrini had 432 assists from left back. When he retired, I replaced him with a Russian regen called Denis Pershin who turned out to be even better than Luca, finishing with 526 assists. The first screenshot shows he had 462 assists at the end of 2035/36 and then he added a further 64 in the last 2 seasons on the 2nd screenshot giving a total of 526.

Manager Stats

For those who are interested, my final manager rank of 2nd saw me finish behind Santiago Solari!

Weirdest thing is seeing Garry Monk up in 5th!!

Triple Threat Challenge: Zirkzee, Boadu & Chong - 2,333 goals.

1,000 Goal Challenge: Joshua Zirkzee - 1,237 goals.

200 International Goal Challenge: Joshua Zirkzee - 233 goals.

Assist Challenge: Denis Pershin (regen) - 526 assists.

The 100 Club: Ray Dickens (regen) - 103 goals @ 1.72 GPG.
