Tactics Take on Leicester 4-1-4-1 formation

Hey guys,

First time posting about a tactic on here, and just want to open with it’s not 100% original - it’s a tweak on the Simeone Atlético 4-4-2 formation. 
 

Like most, I’m secretly hoping Liverpool don’t win the league this season and with all hopes I noticed how strong Leicester are looking this year. This was enough for me to try out a season with them in hope I could at least stop the Liverpool title push through FM. 
 

Currently midway through the season with not much change with in and outgoing transfers, and I’m doing alright apart from a slight hiccup against City. 
 

Anyway, enough waffling. I’ll add some posts below and let me know what you think.

@AndersJ To be honest going by stats Iheanacho is the highest rated player with 7.90, he also tops my goal chart with 10. One ahead of Vardy on 9, followed by Maddison on 6.

Probably the main grip I have so far with the tactic is the lack of goals scored, but defensively it's pretty solid so I won't complain too much.

Haven't tested in other leagues yet, once I've finished the season with Leicester I'll update final standing, and then I'll give it a go in Italy with someone mid table like Torino or France with someone like Rennes or Lille.

Cool - that sounds good. Normally im a "outscore-the-opposition" kind of guy" - but this looks defensively very interesting

I'll try this tactic, but Ndidi (in real) don't move Like an anchor man (with the ball between the General difenderà?).

So .... end of the second season update. 

Won the premiership after focusing on winning the league, and rotating the squad and playing younger and weaker players for all cup competitions. 
 

Slight tweak to the tactic and went to anchor man from ball winning DM and changed the complete forward to defensive. Still lacked a huge amount of goals, but managed to keep the defence rock solid. 
 

Tried to keep signings to a minimum, and only added a few additions after selling off the deadwood. Will look to add in the transfer window as Schmeichel, Vardy, Evans, Morgan, Albrighton are getting on into thier last years. 
 

Feedback on this tactic and how to improve troublesome area of scoring more than welcome 🙏🏻

Maybe changing the mentality to attacking would help and changing the striker to poacher or target man would benefit for more goals... Also try changing cms to box to box

And also try changing the dm back to bwm and if you have a good enough keeper try using a sweeper as they tend to work for me better
