Help Gold Background in Players Profile

Hi, if this has been discussed please remove but I have a question why some players have gold background in their profiles, picture attached with one of the examples. Thanks

They’re not star but fan favourite

Not sure who is right or if you both are, but in the pre-match reports it shows a list of 3 fan favorites and so far all of mine have been gold background players. You would expect the clubs best players to usually be the fan favorites most of the time anyways

In the squad view you should have three players with stars next to there name and you should find they will have the gold background picture. As you say there is going to be a link between fan favourites and the best players at the club so they will probably be the same but the gold background is definitely meant to show who is a star player as far as I’m aware.
