Career Too Far East for The Hulk - El Tigre? Season 7 - COMPLETE

Hi guys back with a short career for this challenge which completely slipped past me.
After completing my double trouble and Race to 100 effort I opted for another goal scoring challenge, this is what game is all about...goals goals goals ⚽⚽⚽

The Hulk - El Tigre Challenge created by @BatiGoal

A very simple concept, just reunite Hulk and Falcao and score as many goals as possible before one retires, easy?
Well not so easy to get the two back together and it was was proving difficult so I guess I opted for the easy option and took over at Shanghai SIPG where Hulk is already the star man.

Now to go and get El Tigre who wasting his talents down in Turkey with Galatasaray, bloody hell...he cost me a whopping £30m which was nearly half my budget and I needed to buy a whole new squad to help with this challenge.

  

Just a few months into the season and disaster strikes as El Tigre is out for 3 months with a damaged knee cap 😭

This is more like as the deadly duo are on top form....El Tigre hits an 11 minute hat-trick only for Hulk to score 3 in 5 mins! Outstanding 👏👏👏

Decent first season for the team as I strolled to league title and double cup triumph.
A sloppy penalty defeat in the Super Cup and a narrow loss to Liverpool in the CWC was a good start.

Onto the main event and my lads did not let age hold them back. El Tigre recovered from his injury lay off to blast 60 goals!
Considering I lost him for 3 months that is a great return. Hulk was on fire too with 41 goals and chipping in 36 assists too.

Yes, I was worried he would not be that great after the injury as he is 33 but he was sensational.

This is on the OME. Its a very simple 4-3-1-2 formation with Hulk playing as the FR, cutting in on his left foot.

I can post the full version(s) as I am still tweaking it.

Something quite romantic about seeing older players star in careers. We get so wrapped up in 1k, DT and TT where the only option is to use the youngsters. Well done mate for giving this a crack.

I know what you mean, Billy. A lot of the challenges are aimed at using the wonderkids but the old boys still have something to offer and China is like a training session really 😂

Season 2

So onto the next season, can the old boys perform heroics again and blast us past the 150 total and beyond?

You have to love those early Champions League games! ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Another good season for the club as we retain our title with ease and both cups ensuring maximum games for my guys.

So onto the main event and my lads didn't let me down.
El Tigre improved his tally with an incredible 63 goals, again missing a few games with niggling injuries.
Hulk improved also with 60 goals plus 40 assists! 🔥🔥🔥

So we have gone way beyond the 150 goal target, how much more can I get out of these two?

Current our total is 224 goals

Thanks, its going well but the lads are 35 now and time is against them.

Season 3

So after another impressive season for the old boys it was onto Season 3. 

This could have been the last one but I have managed to talk the lads round to continue playing for a season and more.

Hopefully they have enough in the tank to post a good score here before they call it quits for good 👍👍

Another domestic clean sweep for us but in the new summer CWC we had a group of death and didn't manage to get out of it but plenty of the games for the lads to hit the target and that's the aim 😋

Just the missing Super cup that would have been 12 trophies out of 12 in China 🏆🏆🏆

With Oscar leaving me on free I replaced him with Mac Allister, who I have wanted to try for a while and he was great in this division. Luckic was also brought in in the centre playing as a AP and was very good too. Max as LWB is superb.

I retained my Manager of the Year and Hulk took the Golden Boot, for reasons that will become clear 😪

Disaster again for El Tigre as his season and maybe career is over after a dreadful ligament injury 😭

So onto the main event...

Hulk took top scorer with 39 goals this season, adding 20 assists after that terrible injury cut El Tigre's season short.

Falcao still managed a respectable 33 goals but this was way down on last season.

TOTAL - 296

How much have they got left as we go into Season 4? Is this the last one?

Season 4

With both of the lads knocking on 36 it was gonna be tough to squeeze anymore out of them.

Poor old El Tigre was having more injury issues but the coaches were happy with his fitness although his stamina was only single figures now.

This was the killer blow, 4 months out...season pretty much over! 🚑

With Falcao out of the picture for most the season Guirassy stepped up and took the top scorer award.
He is a beast at this level and was sold when Wolves came with £30m bid.

Another domestic clean sweep here

Almost a perfect league campaign 🤔

Closing in on that 1k total goals, on course to beat my current record.

So Guirassy ran riot this season with many more games than I would like in the central striking role.
Mac Allister had another stormer just behind, I am sure I will get some bids for him. Also Lukic in the middle was ace.

Falcao has been ravaged by injuries this season and its taken quite a toll on this stats.

I could only get 16 games out of him this season but he sill notched 15 goals with 5 assists also.

Hulk, still doing the business at 36, still holding onto a couple of greens.
He had another consistent season with 39 goals but down on assists with only 16

After 4 seasons we now have a total of 350 goals! Excellent return but time is not on my side.

Time to renew those contracts again!

Season 5

So we have made it to the fifth season here with the old boys. Hulk is still looking strong, as you would expect but El Tigre is really starting to fall apart and his body is struggling.

That's another two years for old boys 👍

An early blow for him again 😭

Another clean sweep as we dominate. Again so close to a perfect league campaign.

This would have been an interesting move for the boys but I turned it down.

So Mac Allister was the star man this season, smashing in 39 goals from AMC. He is a deadly free kick taker.
With Falcao struggling, Ibrahimovic's regen was signed as cover and played too many games for my linking.
Lukic had another solid season.

Double Trouble

Hulk had another consistent season with 38 goals and 12 more assists. Happy with that return.

Slightly better return from El Tigre this season but still restricted through games. 21 goals and 9 assists.

So with Hulk reaching over 200 goals now and Falcao not far behind they have hit 409 goals now. Great effort.

Onto Season 6 now....Can we reach 500 goals?

Season 6

So the lads on closing in on 40 years each but still going strong, just about!

Another solid season but a slip up in the Super Cup, always a sluggish start.

Nearly a full compliment of trophies.

We managed to get a good lot of games from the front two. Mac Allister was on fire and we managed to pick Alena up on a permanent deal too along with Mason Mount. Max at left back is an assist machine.

Hulk really dropped in stats this season, especially his physical one but still doesn't lose this technique. 

We still scrapped 30 goals plus from him as he finishes the season with 33 goals and 12 assists.

Falcao is really struggling now with just 2 stamina! 😩

Sensational return really as he hit 39 goals and 2 assists. I will take that.

So Season 6 was decent after all the we now sit just short of 500 goals with 481 goals in total, not bad for the old fellas.

One more season left in them to get to the magical 500 goals. Surely we can do it?

The lads are going great! Not so pretty, but that's a great haul of goals from them. Shame about those injuries, but props to them for keeping on going.  

BTW - This career has also made we want to go play in China again (I'm at a dangerous stage in my current challenge, 11 seasons getting pretty boring).

Anyway, will be interested to see how many more seasons they can go for and how horrible they will look by the end!

Thanks Scratch. Yes, Falcao has suffered a bad injury nearly every season but Hulk has been a beast (as expected)

I know what you mean about getting that deep into a save. I have struggled this year for long term saves which is why I am looking at this shorter ones to keep my interest.

China is cracking league for goal scoring. Only a season or two to build a squad far superior to anyone else in the league.

Just one more season left in them I am afraid then onto the next challenge! Thanks for the comment 👍

Amazing stuff man. I had a number in mind when I created this challenge but honestly never expected anyone to reach near 500 gls combined. Love it 👍

Thanks Bati, yes this one surpassed my expectations really but I think playing in China helps with it not being the most competitive league in the world so the older guys can still flourish.

Yeah, I started a 1KC there last year but had a break 5 seasons in and never came back to it. The goals were insane. I think my player is still sitting on top of the 100 clubs due to the ratio. Can't get close to it in Scotland...

My one frustration with it was just how hard it was to build a world class squad. Yep easy enough to build a very good squad far superior to the other teams, but much hard to reach the heights of my current Celtic squad. Having said that, right now, I'm bored with having such a good squad. 😄

Those red physical attributes bring back memories of my Moise Kean career last year when he was in his veteran years. Even when they get totally run down it’s surprising how well they can still score with the right squad behind them. I see Mac Allister is doing rather well too, I’ll have to give him a better chance on a save I think.

Yes, I can be diifcult to entice some of the top stars over to China. I always find after upgrading my youth and training I get a nice steady stream of very good Chinese players so I try to fill my squad with those guys to boost my domestic rating up.

He is running the show in this league! Surprised no-one has come in for him.

Season 7 - The Final Act

So here we are into Season 7 and the final season for the lads. Both are touching 40 years of age now and pretty much run out of steam all together but what have they got left in the tank to go out with style?

So El Tigre finishes how he started really by getting injured 😭

The big man is still going strong, with our bromance too! 😍

So with just a handful of games left he breaks down again, this time for good! 😭

Another full domestic clean sweep but cannot make any progress in the CWC.

Nice awards to finish off with and Falcao takes his final Player of the Month Award 🏆

Decent record and just losing 14 games over 7 seasons is pretty good going I think.

So with my main men out of action due to injuries and no stamina whatsoever, Mo was top scorer...even at 33!
Another solid season from Mac Allister, he has been a star of this save. Alena is an assist machine from midfield too.

Hulk

So the big does well in his final season and bows out with 25 goals and another 8 assists. Well played, Sir.

Radamel Falcao

El Tigre was just a shadow of his former self as was severely restricted in terms of games by injury and stamina but still grabbed 22 goals and 4 assists to finish.

Might have to hire him as a coach if I carry on the save.

So happy to pass the 500 goal barrier and a much bigger total than I thought possible!

Yeah, it was only the last two seasons where his stats fell dramatically.

Poor old Falcao, I had to wheel him out for every game! 😂

Thanks, I was surprised but China is an hunting ground for goal challenges as you can rack up big numbers, even with the older players.
