As an extremely proud Welshman this career may kill me

Over the last ten or so years Manchester City have become somewhat notorious for lavish spending on top foreign imports. They also have a poor record of developing young English players.

Well that's about to change.

I've been struggling to really "get into" a career on FMM20 so hoping, when time allows to get me teeth into this one.

I will Only sign English players through the duration of this save, and attempt to develop as many good English players as possible.

I've set myself some goals to achieve throughout (it's very unlikely I will hit them all) which are as follows -

* A possible 1k

*A possible Double Trouble

*Post a high assist score (always struggled with this)

*Have an Englishman win World Player of the year

*Win the World Cup with England

*Win the European Championship with England

*Win every possible trophy with Manchester City

I will update as much as possible

I often do these kind of self imposed challenges. I think it's a good way of increasing the difficulty of the game. Good luck, I'll be keeping an eye out for this one.

Season One

This has actually been quite a fun challenge, and I was shocked at just how much money I was able to raise. Overall I was very happy with the players that I managed to bring in.

Firstly let's see the ins and outs:

(sorry if I've missed some, posting from a phone is hard work)

I have a settled attacking tactic that I have used for the first season that died get quite a lot of goals, however if I am going to get anywhere near a 1k it will need to be adapted.

I was planning on using greenwood exclusively but an early injury, and I coupled with the fact I've got more money than I can spend, resulted in me bringing in Harry Kane last minute.

Anyway how did the season go:

We lost the charity shield, so that's a trophy that we can yet mark off, however everything else went swimmingly well.
