Career Rob tries a Strikerless 1kc - One Season Strikerless Results

Season One

Note: Rather than doing these updates in headed sectiona I am going to do them bullet points, with the screenshots being collected within spoilers at the bottom. That way people don’t have too much to scroll through. Also, I plan this career to be a slow-burner alongside several other shorter challenges. That way I don’t get bored of the monotony.

So season one:

  • I ripped the squad apart, spending my budget like a kid in a sweet shop, which isn’t too dissimilar to me in a sweet shop;
  • Moriba was already at the club and duly got promoted from the reserves;
  • Moriba‘s stats were decent for a 16 year old and he had the wonderkid description;
  • He finished the season as a 17 year old with increases in the right places, except shooting (which - spoiler alert - does become annoying) and a transfer value of £54m already;
  • We won the treble, which surprised me a little as Strikerless success doesn’t tend to kick in until the main player is older. But, then again, we are Barcelona;
  • Did you know ant can lift up to 5,000 times its own body weight?;
  • Moriba contributed 34 goals and earn this first international call-up, which ended up being with his second nation: Spain

34/1000.

I will update soon with my score for the one season Strikerless challenge.

Thanks for reading!

Barcelona taste the transfer wrath of the Robster.... Brilliant.

A really good start mate and i enjoyed the bullet points, especially the ant point which i knew but i didnt think it was 5000 times.

Thanks. Yeah, 5,000. Nuts. You should see their World’s Strongest Ant competition. It’s crazy.

Good start. 34 goals from a 16 yr. old is more than decent. KIU.

Thanks Kane.

Poor Grizzy got sold in his first season :(

Great work though. Well done Rob

Grizzy had to go as he had the green up front. I did take pleasure selling him. I couldn’t get rid of Messi yet, which was frustrating. Thank you though!

Brilliant start and some fantastic signings. I had Kana on my Augusta save, he’s just left now as a veteran but what a truly great player he was in either midfield or defence.

You gotta love digital Levy daring to be different... 170m on Griezmann and 54m on Rakitic. No wonder they never finished the cheese room. psyched to see how this save plays out.

Great start with a 16 years old, him getting Spain call up should help to get some international goals in the future.

Thanks Kun. Getting the Spain job at some point is certainly part of the plan. Without saying too much, it just never seems to become available...

Good start of the challenge mate 😉

Big Tits, thanks. It’s no where near as detailed as your mind ended of a challenge!

Cheers Ian. What a player the lad is.

It shows how unrealistic the game actually is - Levy rarely spends 170p, let alone 170m 🤣

Good start, I will be following in the hope of seeing more animal kingdom facts.

Cheers. They may not be animal kingdom facts, but facts nonetheless.

One Season Strikerless

  • So along with Moriba, I opted for Lemar and Dembele. Two (nearly) world class players in the game;
  • Moriba got 34 goals and 19 assists, totalling 53;
  • Dembele got 27 goals and 23 assists, totalling 50;
  • Lemar got 28 goals and 25 assists, totalling 53;
  • Did you know the Lakhta Tower in Russia is the tallest building in Europe? It is 462.5m tall and has 87 floors. I am scared of heights and this terrifies me;
  • That’s 153 from the players;
  • Barcelona got a goal difference of 86 and 102 league points, totalling 188;

This gives us a final score of 341

Thanks for reading!

That's 5m per floor, that can't be. Maybe there's a parking lot underneath? 4m per all 87 floors sounds more like it, that gives 348m for the actual tower and the remaining 114.5 for the parking. Just a guess.

Oh, there's goals too? Going great, Rob!

Great score Rob... Need to try this some day.

Give it a go Woodster. When you are over the illness, of course.

Nice @Rob but I’m still waiting for a 400+ score!

I am going to give it a proper go in a few weeks with another team. I have some ideas. 400 is nigh-on impossible though, although I’m sure some of you heavyweights could give it a good crack.

Haha, I love the depth of thought. It’ll be a car park big enough to host all of the amateur players you are using. It seems Russia has a lot of the tallest buildings, which I kinda found fascinating.

Thanks.

Thanks Kane. Hopefully see you give it a go soon?

Cheers Smog. Considering the players used, I think yours was a better performance.

Loads of that height are taken up by the spire sitting atop the top floor, from the looks of it.

Thanks Sam. Sunderland are great.

Well I was going to say good luck with this career, but I'm not sure I can now... I mean really, WTF is this? :P

Nah that's a great start mate, I think you'll get him all the way. I had him in my squad in my current 2KC and he was a really good option. He opted for Spain in my save too.
