Career MikeF - The Italian Job (Triple Threat)

Continuing the save from my Double Trouble career (need to get that 30 year achievement), we pick things up with the world famous old striped horse of Turin. 

Keeping it local I had 8 days to scout and find 3 potential Italian world beaters before the first game of the season. 
 

Two wonderkids signed and one lad promoted from the academy. They’ve all got good pace so let’s see how they develop. 
 

Season 1

Some great growth with the new signings. Torregrosso looks pretty special. Ursini from the academy doesn’t look amazing but he bagged 20 goals from 42 matches so a good return. Let’s see how the carry on. 
 

Juve:
The inherited squad was ok. Good strikers (pointless for this) and decent wingers abut not much else so a rebuild is needed.

Still, managed to take the league convincingly but crashed out of the CL in the group stage. 
 

Players:

Not that the names mean anything but wingers giving the assists and strikers doing their jobs.

Season 2

A couple of quick updates as been a busy week so haven't had a chance to get these up.

 

 

Some good development with the two new guys, the academy kid is a slow starter.

I'm tweaking my tactic too much so they're not settling down. I'm not happy with the performance but that's my fault. I don't have a good 3 up front tactic this game so i'm making it on the fly.

Still an alright return, but need to score more goals as a team.

 

Juve:

Nothing wrong there.

End of Season 2:

Rieti: 46

Torregrosso: 60

Ursini: 32

Still only just cleared 70 goals but they're getting better. I think i'm happy with how my formation is now so hopefully we'll hit triple figures next year.

 

Juve:

Still need more team goals. I'm playing too conservatively (if there is such a thing with 3 up front) but am changing to a more attacking set up so lets see what happens.

Rieti: 66

Torregrosso: 94

Ursini: 49

Total: 209/1500

To go: 1291

 

Averaging 70 goals a season is not good enough. I think i've finally settled on roles that work and a more attacking tactic so lets see what happens this year.

Season 4

Glad I found the back up save!

New formation is working a treat getting over 120 goals out the boys. They’re looking pretty good too. 
 

Here’s how they’re looking now:

 

 

124 goals and 54 assists between them.

 

Juve:

I’ve got far more attacking which has meant I’ve conceded a lot more goals but that’s fine as I’m scoring a lot more too. My poor GK is having a crisis as he thinks he’s under performing but it’s tough when you’re defending with two players 😂 

Im trying something new for the start of this upcoming season so try and shore that defence up a bit and hopefully it won’t cost me goals. Time will tell.

 

Me:

Looks like I need to start fining people!

 

End of Season 4:

Torregrosso: 130

Ursini: 83

Yeah Torregrosso looked best at first but he’s slowed up in developing and Rieti continues to improve. I moved him to my favourite role due to this and it paid off.

Season 5

A good return of over 100 goals again but a few injuries got in the way. 
Slight tweak to formation meant I conceded fewer goals so that’s a bonus.

Going well on the TT, these players look very tidy.

Season 6

Very similar to last season in getting just over 100 goals between them. Would be nice to keep this up for a few more seasons at least. They’re all young so shouldn’t be a problem hopefully. 
 

 

 

 

Talk about sharing the spoils...

 

 

 

Couple of losses as my tactic is the most attacking I’ve ever played but it’s the goals that count here. Fixtures also pile up at the start of each calendar year so that takes its toll but only two minor injuries this year gave a good return. 
 

End of Season 6:

Rieti: 188

Torregrosso: 204

Ursini: 156

Total: 548/1500

To go: 952

 

Making a dent each season now so need to keep this up as think I’ve only got 9 seasons left in game, maybe 8...

Season 7

Big season. Went back to my formation from 2 seasons ago and squeezed a few more goals out the boys again. It’s not hugely different. Just balls out attacking. 
 

 

 

124 goals and 53 assists between them.

I work out that I’ve got 9 seasons (?) left in the game before the big 30. Should be plenty  . Just want to get this wrapped up now. It’s been a long double career!

Cheers chaps. Would be nice to average 110-120 a season for a few years. Have a bit of a transition season coming up soon as certain players get older but I’m hopefully to have this tucked away ASAP.
