MATCHWEEK 9 PREVIEW

FEATURED MATCH : Liverpool @Jsavfc v Real Madrid

Liverpool lost their 1st match last week which means they are now 5 points behind Barcelona. Their upcoming match against Real Madrid will be a must win now if they are to keep themselves in contention.

Liverpool

Liverpool.png.7e924c8f39ea000fbfb4b668de621783.png

Again a pretty consistent line-up with Foden not yet getting a chance. TAA has strangely been deployed as a DM. Joe Gomez still out due to injuries.

Real Madrid

511460653_RealMadrid.png.ce51e335f0f250bc81b23ffe2d9afe73.png

A pretty star studded line-up with most of the regulars playing. Of course, pressure will be on Hazard and Bale to deliver after less than impressive performances so far.

New Man Utd boss Marcelo Gallardo is now the world's 2nd best manager after a 3-0 win against Benfica. Is he really that good or is it the "Utd Hype" again? 🤔

No consecutive award for Torino's Simeone, as Manuel Pellegrini who led West Ham to an unbeaten month snatched the award. (This was before Torino smashed West Ham in a 5-0 win).

Young Player Of The Month

This just show how strong Torino's youngsters are compared to the other teams in the Division. Both Riccardi and Tonali are included in the Top 3 for the 2nd consecutive month, with Gianluigi Donnarumma joining them. Well deserved to the midfield duo, especially Tonali who had been a crucial part of the team now, already scoring 5 goals and 7 assists so far.

It's Leicester's Diabate claiming the top award of the month, but Riccardi was close behind him, ahead of Leicester's Jamie Vardy.

A 2nd consecutive MOTM for Barcelona's Valverde after leading Barcelona to another unbeaten month in September, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool's coach are closely behind.

It's Tottenham's duo Upamecano and Florentino Luis included in the YPOTM Top 3, both players led Tottenham to an unbeaten month, with a strong defensive performance, only conceding twice in the month. However, Arsenal fans will be outraged that Fiete Arp that had scored 3 goals in their only 2 matches in the month had been omitted from the award.

None of the players from the chairmen club made into the award this month, with 2 defenders and a midfielder included this time.

We have some huge matches in the upcoming Matchweek, including another Top 2 clash in the Gold Division featuring @BatiGoal's Torino and Lille, while @Titjes's Barcelona will face Man City, will Barcelona faced a second straight defeat? Stay tuned. 😀

Would it be possible to see the match stats against Porto? I wanna see if I got unlucky or if it was a true FMM style loss 😅

Not possible mate, simulated matches only have the score sheets

I'm talking about the full size image of this mate:

1676655946_BarcavsPorto.png.f08b1d49948db4b21fef62c9f485c228.png

Or is this full size?

Just so I could see the number of attempts on goal etc.

If it's not allowed then fine mate 😛

MATCHWEEK 10 PREVIEW

FEATURED MATCH - Man City vs Barcelona @Titjes

Featured match of the week will be the clash between VCD leaders Barcelona and Manchester City. Barcelona just suffered their first defeat in the league against Porto while Man City had won their previous 2 VCD matches against Tottenham and Sevilla. A lot of pressure for Valverde's men in this match as a defeat will let Liverpool overtook them in the league table IF they won their coming match against Atletico.

Manchester City

City.thumb.png.04a2d385aac2e824f7dcc855280a1219.png

A solid 4-2-3-1 will be played by Man City's new boss Mauricio Pochettino, with Aguero upfront who had scored only 2 goals in 8 games so far. Man City does not have the best attack form this season, only scoring 13 times so far, while Barcelona is one of the highest scoring team with 20 league goals this season.

Barcelona

Barca.thumb.png.5d8ad57bff72b4dd386a94f562c5dd12.png

The same FMM trio upfront for Barcelona (Federico Bernardeschi, Messi, Mbappe). The trio had been in top form this season, scoring a combined 13 goals in 10 league games, only behind the Liverpool trio of Salah, Firmino and Mane that had scored 15 goals. As for the midfield and defense, biggest surprise must have been the selection of Junior Firpo who will be replacing Jordi Alba in the left-back position, this will be his first league start for the team. In the right-back position, Moussa Wague will start again, earning his 7th league start this season.
