Great work (apart from winning the League Cup against Newcastle, you could have let us have that! 🙂).

The players are developing nicely and performing well. Gonna reach those targets without much worry!

I've never used Dembele before, even though I play at Celtic at lot - I always sell him - so I'll be interested in how he turns out. On the other hand, I have used Bellingham (and Eze) several times and they've always been class for me. Hope they do as well for you.

Pity about the ITN job, but I've noticed you don't have any chance if it comes too early in the save, even if you are ranked number 1 in the world (ie started the save as a World Class manager). Seems you need to win some things in the save before it will let you succeed.

Anyway, great start, keep it up!

Thanks mate, and sorry about Newcastle but as a Boro fan myself sort of not sorry too 😂

Dembele is coming along great and could probably do as good a job as Bellingham if played centrally and on more set pieces. Eze is great and i feel guilty sometimes that he is a back up as he always comes on and performs well. If he was a touch younger he would be prime for this challenge as the main man.

I did get the England job once at the end of season 1 on a personal Boro save where i was just playing as a fan rather than a career but that must have just been lucky, like you say it tends to be a few seasons in usually,

Before i do a season 4 update i thought i would do a separate one for this;

IMG_0742.thumb.PNG.91f5780ff17694f86c5c5e9dfeeadfcb.PNG

Now i have no idea why this has caused Bellingham to consider moving on but after getting rejected for the England job in season 1 i finally got it after the mid-season World Cup in 2022.

England lost 3-1 to the Dutch in the World Cup quarter finals and Gerrard was sacked.

IMG_0739.thumb.PNG.ae837b9808ed5a472945d83a1404d9db.PNG

My application went in.......

IMG_0740.thumb.PNG.79251def803006c187b2823b6ba84a18.PNG

and was duly accepted!

IMG_0741.thumb.PNG.03d2fc4a20ea3c255401c87e3db22554.PNG

Just for the record by the time my first game as England manager came around the following March Bellingham was on 1 INT goal, Sancho on 2 INT goals and Dembele on 0 INT goals.

So this should be great avenue to up those goal tallies and reach our targets.

I will hopefully post a full season 4 update tonight, if not then tomorrow.

Thanks @LFCMO_11there's plenty of great content and careers from some great players on Vibe! Definitely owe thanks to you Dutchies @BatiGoal👍

Season 4 saw our biggest investment yet shelling out £145m on TAA, who's a great addition on the right hand side of our defence/midfield. Also nabbed Onano on a Bosman from Ajax to go in goal. Big names who left were Son who followed Kane to Barca and Ndombele who went to Leicester for just £17m, struggled to get a tune out of Ndombele which mirrors his season in real life to be fair.

On the pitch we won everything apart from the Community Shield, in summary;

  • Won the league comfortably, losing only 1 game and drawing 3.
  • Lost the Community Shield on penalties to Man Utd after blowing a 2 goal lead.
  • Beat Juve in the UEFA Super Cup with a last minute winner.
  • Beat Arsenal in the EFL Cup Final.
  • Beat Swansea in the FA Cup Final.
  • Beat Bayern 3-1 in the CL Final. Bellingham with 2 goals and missed a pen for the hat trick.

Sancho is nearing his peak now but Dembele and Bellingham still got plenty to go (i hope). You can see from their player profiles Bellingham added 6 INT goals, Sancho 2 and Dembele 1 in the few EURO qualifiers we had until the end of the season. Jude cleaned up again in the end of season awards and we had our first serious transfer interest on one of these players with both Barca and Real offering £216m for Sancho - duly rejected.

Goal return was up this season before we added on the INT goals;

  • Bellingham scored 71 goals and got 15 assists in 55 games and added those 6 INT goals to make 77 goals in total for the season!
  • Sancho scored 13 and assisted 20 in 55 games, slightly below par.
  • Dembele a big improvement with 22 goals and 30 assists in 54 games.

Overall a big jump for the TT and for Bellingham's 1k attempt aided by the England job, he is now 1/4 of the way there and plenty of years ahead of him so we're looking good.

Thanks guys and Scratch, no absolutely nothing just that message. Nothing on his profile and no further issues thankfully!

Season 5 saw very little on the transfer front, apart from stealing Joe Gomez from Liverpool for a bargain £4m when in his last year of his contract.

  • Beat Man City in the EFL Final in which Eze scored 4 goals in place of Bellingham due to suspension.
  • Beat Reading in the FA Cup Final.
  • Beat Atleti in the CL Final.

As it was the EURO's this summer i am going to do a separate update on that so no international update here just a record of the player profiles at the end of the season and their goal tallies; we suffered with injuries this season but even so i am very happy with the totals, benefited from a full season playing INT football. Also transfer interest in Dembele this time again with the two SPanish giants coming in for him both offering £204m.

  • Bellingham scored 66 goals and got 20 assists in 48 games, slightly lower due to less games played but contributed a fantastic 16 INT goals to make 82 goals in total for the season.
  • Sancho scored 20 and assisted 24 in 56 games, slightly below par.
  • Dembele with 23 goals and 25 assists in 47 games.

Couple of injuries worth noting in losing Bellingham for a month at the end of the season causing some attribute falls and Dembele for 2 months. We then lost Dembele and Sancho in the same FA Cup 3rd round game, thankfully only minor injuries this time.

Bizarre occurrences here with contract renewals if anyone else has come across this? Both Sancho and Bellingham asked for a new contract, then asked for less money than they were on! Sancho went from £400k to £220k and Bellingham £375k to £220k.

Had those contract issues as well. Happened to 3-4 guys. Asked for way less but gave them a little more than their current contract deal. Still morale dropped + complained about bumper contract deal. Whatever FMM 😂

The boys doing great, and everything well on track. Watch them pelvises tho.

Good going so far.

Never managed to sign Bellingham yet so far but he looks incredible in this save.

Thanks all. International football is a massive bonus and here is a round up of how the EURO’s in 2024 went.
I forgot to screenshot, or accidentally deleted the Wales 4-0 but that was a great start in Group C which contained Sweden and Portugal as well as the Welsh.

69178C92-3AF3-49E7-8A02-1DB7A25F1C1E.thumb.png.3ab65c03207632c0816e00e060df1a12.png

As you can see FMM then threw in a completely bat shit crazy game, 9 first half goals and eventually a 7-6 win! There was no change to my tactics which are usually pretty solid at the back, it was just one of those games out of nowhere. Strange.

EF6F22DE-24C8-491E-82D4-261047662149.thumb.png.662e120b47956936f0ef9aaf43e4454a.png

We then faced Portugal in the final group game which would decide 1st and 2nd place. Despite going down to ten men early on we nabbed a 93rd minute equaliser to draw and progress in 1st place.

Second round put us against Germany which is a walk in the park due to licensing issues and greyed out players.

8B8BCB1F-E802-4478-AB9B-C80F9B27665B.thumb.png.0891aff7a7a063ba056926b6244da11e.png

So into the quarters against Croatia and a fairly routine 3-0 win.4B05B13A-488C-4B40-A5B7-E9E300D9505A.thumb.png.d7e01584b2efa3321afb667a38931bd9.png

Semi final against Italy was a tighter affair but we came out 2-1 winners and missed a penalty which would’ve made the win more comfortable.

4005FD38-8F65-4A07-84F5-F921F44C72A8.thumb.png.3b808b84be3e09612563a268d259a59b.png

This put us in the final against one of our group opponents Portugal. We had a 2-0 lead at half time but then Portugal pegged it back to 2-1 and we were hanging on until dembele sealed the win in injury time. EURO champions!

As expected we dominated the awards and although Bellingham doesn’t like the attention it doesn’t appear to affect his performances. Dembele in particular had a fantastic tournament.

Absolutely loving this thread.

Some incredible stats being produced there @smoggy90, well done on the Euro victory.

Are you at any stage going to go in any detail about the tactics you use?

My tactical nous on this game is practically zero and rely on these exact forums for me to plug and play when I get the time time to play.

Are you able to share what shape and instructions have worked best for you to produce the results you're showing?

I've always loved an unusual style of tactic, especially striker-less ones where you can get the team scoring goals. You've undoubtedly achieved that, well done :)

Cheers!

I will probably do a full debrief on tactics at the end but will show the shapes I have used. I did a one season strikerless challenge with PSG not long back and used something similar to this.

D12FAB61-59C8-46AA-A704-B3867F77F826.thumb.png.a97ee4512f0b5409511d2362e6f92b58.png

I carried the PSG career on after the first season and tested other tactics and came up with this.

When I started this Spurs career I only used the second tactic for ‘easy’ games and played it safe for a while until I developed the players and squad. I slowly introduced the second tactic more in seasons 2 and 3 and now it is constant.
I will do a detailed write up at some point but it works really well, although I do have a world class squad.

Thanks Kane, love Bellingham and Dembele but kind of wished I’d gone Jack Clarke instead of Sancho as he’s less obvious and in the games he has played seems top quality as well but not to worry.

Season 6 saw a massive amount of games with the back end of the EURO's and a few extra games in the World Club Cup at the end of the season.

Transfers in were just a few Bosmans and our youth, whereas going out saw a few fringe players. Nothing much to report this season.

We annoyingly got knocked out of the FA Cup early this season and lost the Community Shield on pens but won everything else;

  • Won the league with 104 points and went undefeated.
  • Lost the Community Shield on pens to Man City.
  • Won the Super Cup beating Valencia.
  • Chelsea knocked us out of the 5th round of the FA Cup.
  • Won the EFL Cup beating West Brom.
  • Won the Champions League beating Barca.
  • Won the first two group games of the World Club Cup before the season ticked over so will round that up next update.

This gave us a great total of 145 towards the TT for the season and a brilliant 97 for Bellingham! The guys are starting to peak now and i'm not sure i can squeeze any more out of them as we won't have this amount of games every season but if we can keep these numbers fairly consistent then we'll post some good scores come the end of this career.

Wow, 97 total gls with Bellingham90, that's a great number. Sancho90 consistent as ever but Dembélé90 with 31 assists in that formation is very good. Looks like you're squeezing everything out of these talents.

Kiu Mr. 90!

Thanks @BatiGoal @danovic78 and @Nikolaosrokos

Season 7 saw us splash out on a few wonderkids in positions I wanted to strengthen and a few departures, notably Kana who kept requesting a transfer as he couldn’t shift Tonali out of the side and only playing 1 cm restricted his appearances.

On the pitch it was a mixed season of results;

  • Won the league comfortably again with 101 points.
  • Threw away leads in the World Club Cup in the semi and 3rd place play off to only finish 3rd.
  • Won the Community Shield.
  • Lost the Super Cup.
  • Knocked out of the EFL Cup on pens to Man City in semi finals.
  • Lost to Man City again in the FA Cup Final.
  • Beat Chelsea in the CL Final.

Not quite why we had a more inconsistent season but the guys kept the goals rolling in. Few more assists and a few less goals from Bellingham but still great overall;

  • 73 goals and 18 assists from Bellingham but in 6 more games this season. Plus 12 England goals gave him 85 for the season.
  • 23 goals and 20 assists at club level for Sancho plus 8 England goals.
  • 26 goals and 25 assists for Dembele plus just 2 England goals.

On the international front it was World Cup year so as you can see a nice easy group stage and I will do a separate World Cup update over the weekend to see the follow on from this after the new season turns over.

Also I surprisingly got this message, so not long after a brand spanking new stadium the Spurs board decide they’ll build another!

Might be counting my chickens a bit too early but the name is based on what I hope will be a Spurs legend in the making.

So at the end of season 7 we are just over half way to our targets and we’ll on track. Separate World Cup update to follow.
