Career Fabio Silva 1kc + DT Assist Challenge

 Share

Recommended Posts

I've often started 1kc careers without posting anything here and eventually lose interest a few seasons in, so I'm hoping that by posting on here, it will give me the drive to finish one of them off!

So, for my first real career on FMM Vibe I thought i'd go for a decent challenge but make it as easy for myself as possible.

I figured I'd start with one of the highest rated wonderkid strikers in Fabio Silva and plonk him in the well-oiled system of Paris Saint-Germain FC.

image.png.64296f81c8fec20a727d3e63b73de0ac.png

I'll be starting off trying to get him to 1K goals, and then see where we go from there assuming that I make it.

On top of this I thought i'd go for a fairly aspirational side goal of completing a double trouble of assists. For this one I wanted to steer clear of the typical favourite cross machines in Emanual Vignato and Diego Lainez, so instead I've opted for the trusty left foot of Bukayo Saka and the right foot of Facundo Pellistri.

Combined together they hope to emulate both feet of David Beckham and provide Fabio Silva and the background players of PSG with 1200 assists.

Sorry Neymar, that probably means you're not going to be starting every game.

My primary concern is getting Silva to 1k goals, and we'll see with the crossers, if one of them does well i might focus on them to get 1k assists also.

Hope this proves interesting to some!

Thanks for reading.

Good luck with this. Silva is a proven beast in this forums while the other two looks quite capable of notching up the targets.

Season 1

I was eager to get the first season under way and see how our 3 wonderkids can do, and as such that always involves stripping out the club and making sure that the supporting cast are able to provide them with the assistance they need. Being that we are PSG we have a barrel load of cash and a few big names to move on.

Mbappe went to Atletico, turning down both Juve and Real Madrid for the highest sum i could get for him that summer. I've seen him sell for 200m so i was a little disappointed but we still have more than enough cash funds to get where we want to go.

The others were all wanting out or surplus to requirement, so i accepted most reasonable offers.

Picking up our compulsory purchases of Silva for 40m, Saka for 50m and Pellistri for 9.25m we still had a decent chunk of spare change for some marquee signings.

De Bruyne came in to give a strong creative force in mid field along with some promising youngsters in Tonali and Luis who seem like my go to for an all around robust midfield.

Dest and Ait-Nouri came in as strong young wingback options helping to provide some assists and Pedri and Martinez came in to play understudy/back up for better squad members

Team Performance

The season was a relatively successful one, with just a couple of key defeats all season causing us to be unsuccessful in Europe and the League Cup.

Losing 3-2 on aggregate to Bayern in the Semi finals of the Champions League and a 1-0 loss to Lyon in the league cup quarter final stopped us from winning more than just the league.

Injuries

Spoiler

We were fairly lucky with injuries, only two effecting our main trio.

Silva had a 3 week injury during a patch of closely spaced games, missing 5 games in total

Pellistri strained his calf at the end of Jan causing him to miss a month

The Players

With all the season being said and done, lets see how our 3 knocked on for their first season. I wasnt expecting huge numbers in this first season, especially with youngsters being limited in growth more than they were in previous patches/game iterations, but i definitely feel like there was a small level of under performance.

Fabio Silva

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.df3600fa12ed24d805cfd6a6b7e05c3a.png

As shown Fabio Silva has started to develop really nicely in all areas vital for an attacker. He doesnt have many elite level stats yet, but i am sure they will come with age, he is only 17 after all.

Goals:

image.thumb.png.82848964371eea564030f57c20febca4.png

Silva banged in 32 goals from 48 games, which is a modest start and definitely looking to improve for next season.
For context, Cavani managed to pick up 24 goals as the main substitute and Aerial mentor for Silva, so we're looking to shift some of those over to Silva next season as his stamina improves letting him spend more time in the 70+ minutes of games.

Facundo Pellistri

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.6d8fd050557b147364fdd642a36efacb.png

Pellistri developed well also, hitting a development plateau for only a short month towards the end of the season. He gained 1 crossing, 1 passing, 3 movement and 2 pace.

Assists:

image.thumb.png.66c45298a0bd10bd79862230ebecdc42.png

Facundo was our primary corner taker, something he will have to share next season with Saka. He did a sub par job chipping in 16 assists from 46 games, but my tactics really revolve around getting a strong aerial attacker and strong crossing, so these number should jump up next season and after. Currently i am not too worried about the under performance.

Bukayo Saka

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.703777fc4789c908b1660bc7b2fce843.png

Saka's growth was largely stunted by a development plateau that lasted the majority of the season. As such he only progressed 1 crossing, 1 passing, 1 pace and 1 strength. Lets hope he has a growth spurt next season.

Assists:

image.thumb.png.c213ebd3ad824d8206697559abb07880.png

Sako had a very forgetful season, similarly to his development, Saka flopped on the assist department, only managing to help his team mates score 4 goals all season despite playing 47 games. He was cursed for almost the entire season with the tag, "Struggling to find form", I think that this had a big impact on him, and not being on corners. Mistakenly i even had him third in the corner pecking order after De Bruyne. Doh! Saka can only do better next season, he has to right?

Summary

In summary, the season was fairly tame and definitely not a great first step, but it was a first step nonetheless. Our players are starting to develop, and perhaps filling the team with too many wonderkids that all need to develop could have been a detrimental decision. Either way, next season will be better, and the future is still bright for our trio. There is however, a long way to go.

Season 2

The second season is where I was hoping some of my wingers would start to kick on. As long as the numbers go up from last year, which i think is almost a given, then i would be happy.

We also got the Portugal job after they bombed out in the European Championships. Unfortunately I misplaced my screenshot of the job offer. Time for Fabio Silva to become a National Hero.

Just a few younger stars coming in again. Bazunu intending to take over Navas in this season or next. Baro and Pellegrini to play as proming mid fielders. Bought Baro in hopes he does well in case we get the Portugal job.

Vion is a RB/AML that has great potential. Castro looks to be a really world class futured midfielder, but is only 15 currently.

Team Performance

We walked the league by 30 points, which is to be expected after spending so much compared to all other teams. We won the Coupe de France against Rennes, in a game where I had forgotten to rest Silva, so Cavani chipped in a hattrick. We also won the Trophee des Champions after a 90+4 equaliser from Silva and then winning the subsequent pens.

Sadly we lost 3-2 on agregate to Juventus in the UCL, despite bossing both of the games. The goals just wouldn't come in europe.

For the national team we made it to the semi finals of the Nations League where we lost to Germany, then subsequently beat Italy in the 3rd place play-offs with a hat-trick from Silva.

Injuries

We had an injury free season for our main 3. What a result!

I suppose it helps that Silva has 'Resilient Physique' and Pellistri has 'Very rarely injured'.

The Players

As long as the players were developing and posting better numbers than last season, i would be happy.

Fabio Silva

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.d00caafe134fd54ff3328ed55baffe07.png

Silva improved a decent chunk this season. Posting increases of 1 in shooting, dribbling and movement. And a whopping +4 pace!

Goals:

image.thumb.png.0e245671226474f2cfd3508789423c9d.png

Silva knocked in 41 goals for PSG, which is a much better return and lots of the goals were towards the end of the season, so hoping for even higher numbers next time round.

He also managed to chip in 7 goals for his country after 10 games. Unfortunately he is still playing for the under 21s, so lots of his appearances are sub appearances as he is doing double national duty.

Facundo Pellistri

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.6fea28cd2311b8fe7c99e8c7461fc967.png

Pellistri grew a lot this season, gaining +2 in dribbling, movement, decisions pace and stamina. Also getting a +1 in crossing despite being focussed on it, lets hope it doesnt plateau out at 16!

Assists:

image.thumb.png.96bfbdd9d947ac65580623c0c92f4c98.png

25 assists, its not bad! Hopefully once his crossing gets even higher and Silva's Aerial increases even more he will be finding lots of goals from his half of the corners.

Bukayo Saka

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.aaa3cf990e21951c1659fd35c8cb953e.png

Saka was still at the development plateau for the majority of the season, with it lifting towards the end. He improved in dribbling and strength by +2 and shooting and movement by 1. Not quite the stats i was hoping to improve first, but hopefully he can hit some big stats now that he is developing properly.

Assists:

image.thumb.png.0a229a12f1ffc3b600ffa27eae4bba65.png

14 assists. 10 more than last year now that he is on half of the corners. I hope that this +10 trend continues and we get at least 24 next season!

Summary

The second season was much better than the first with all our youngsters starting to develop into promising players. Silva looks to be the best of the bunch, which was expected. As long as this trajectory continues, then i am sure that each of our players can start posting some big big numbers.

Season 3

After an all around improved season 2, plus the national job, season 3 looks to be another big jump up for our players. Hopefully reaching some top tier development and stats, aiming for higher goal numbers and assists as many of the wonderkids in the team also begin to fulfill their potentials.

Spoiler

Only a few real departures here, most were youth team players leaving after lack of contract.

I had to let Cavani go as he an Neymar got some serious beef that was distracting a lot of the squad, and Cavani being 33 I believe at this time was the one who had to leave.

Spoiler

image.thumb.png.083d503790e40ca35c8eb0ae4e700d38.png

The big signing here was a spare back up striker in Maxi Gomez to replace Cavani. He was the striker who had the highest Aerial stat which should be ideal for helping our crossers get some assists while Silva needs a rest.

Vinagre and Azpi are both back ups and Konate replaces Upamecano who wanted out.

Team Performance

Dominating the league is a past time for this PSG team now, finishing 36 points ahead of Lyon in second after securing a huge 109 points.

We didn't stop there though, completing the domestic treble and going on to secure the quadruple with an amazing Champions league run. The UCL final was against Roma, who were a bit underwhelming compared to the Juventus that we scraped past in the semis.

I realised after starting the 4th season that i should have captured more of the results from finals/competition defeats, so i'll be doing that more going forward.

Injuries

Sadly not as lucky as last season, but still only having one major injury for our main 3 is a good outcome. Pellistri was out for 3 weeks with a twisted knee and Saka got a two week injury also.

The Players

Fabio Silva

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.d4bce9a20bf411e4457bdbe32913e6df.png

Big improvements here for Silva, the kid is turning out to be an absolute unit, i have no doubt he will keep developing into perhaps the best striker i've used.

+2 growth in Aerial, Strength and Movement are amazing and +1s in Shooting, dribbling, stamina creativity and decisions are also great.

Goals:

image.thumb.png.671b4e9958868b5879ed8e6c2193371b.png

Silva bagged a great 62 goals for club and a further 5 goals for his country bringing his total for the season to 68. Still not quite the numbers i was hoping for during the third season, but the leaps he is making are tangible.

Sadly he is still playing for the u21 national team during international duty so he isnt getting a huge amount of playing time for the real national team.

Facundo Pellistri

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.2e861150af49694b7e10e8de5f0b96f9.png

Small increases in creativity, stamina and strength, its starting to look like Pellistri might be near his cap. A bit shame that his crossing isnt higher, but he still manages to throw in decent corners. Looks like Saka will need to develop into a better winger in order to make this DT assist challenge a realistic goal.

Assists:

image.thumb.png.5249e05b14c7ac60604f80eb7a4b750f.png

In line with his growth, Pellistri didnt gain much on last season getting 27 assists. Lets hope for the future that a better Silva means more assists for Pellistri.

Bukayo Saka

Spoiler

Growth:

image.thumb.png.f4a6b7aebde988c45ccdd8a16c693255.png

+3 in crossing and movement areso important for Saka, lets hope he continues to develop next season. +2 in dribbling and decisions and +1 in passing and creativity are also welcome.

Assists:

image.thumb.png.960cef03d45ec61e13678a431aed0ce3.png

Getting up to the levels of Pellistri is good, and hopefully next season with some more development he will leap frog him. 25 assists this season is much better though considering he is only taking half of the corners.

Summary

Again better numbers, and a quadruple season to boot, these kids are starting to be super fun. The DT assist challenge is going to be tough unless these wingers really start pushing some numbers higher than they are, but Silva is really developing into a goal machine, so I am quietly confident in his ability to hit 1000 goals.
