Tactics 4-3-3 inside forwards

Recommended Posts

So this is my first tactic, first post in general. Its the first tike I've actually gotten a tactic to even kind of work.

I've a few issues with my main striker not scoring or really assisting, but the left inside forward is an absolute beast.

So what I wanted to do was make a tactic with a trequartista who would drop back and play passes to the two inside forwards to latch onto and score.

I decided I'd set up to play short passes from the back through my play makers one Deep lying and the other an advanced playmaker who would then either feed the wingbacks on the overlap or the trequartista to then play in the ifs.

For the most part this worked a charm, I'm averaging 60% or so possession and almost always completing at least 300 passes.

The main issue I'm having at the moment is trequartista not doing enough. He's constantly getting 6's or 5's. I've switched up to a CF for the moment and it's slightly better. More assists coming in from him.

As you can see from the pictures I'm still undefeated and have the top scoring team and have the least goals conceded.

So far I've only done this really short test on it with Man Utd and a couple of signings.

If you want to test it let me know how you get on 😁

Thanks for sharing.

How come did you choose a CF? And did you try other roles?

did you test the tactic elsewhere ?

I haven't tried anywhere else yet. I switched to CF to see if I could bring my striker into the game more but still keep him dropping deep sometimes.

Quick question - when you watch the game, does the AP (and maybe the BBM) interfere with your Treq’s positioning?

Theoretically they may be trying to occupy the same area of space, but the AP is closer to the play so gets more of the ball, to the detriment of your Treq. Just an idea, which I saw experimenting with a central AP with a central DLF.

Otherwise you could try having the DLP in the central midfield spot, having the left midfielder as a BBM as well (as they don’t drift inside as much) and MAYBE playing a bit wider. Might give more space for your Treq. to play within.

If you’ve got screenshots of the play itself & your players positioning, I’d love to take a look.

There isn't a Treq in the tactic.
