Tactics Proven 4-2-2-2

Brilliant tactic! I use very similar to this as I have WB, I train them up to be inside forwards, and IFs to ST, works like a treat, very well done sir!

Hi, Did u make a change on tactic? create this tactic from 442 then make them 4222 or just pick 424 ?

I don't understand the first part, in the screenshots it is 4-2-2-2 is it not?

And training I always use intensive (red) and set then a different role every 4 or five weeks, so even though I play CD, I will set them as BPD for a few weeks, and the strikers as target or even AP even though I play with a P and CF

Ok thanks, i just try create your tac by 424. Score was impressive but sometimes playmaker get red card

Really enjoying this tactic...started a new game with Bradford after getting a but bored with my 2 at the back tactic.

Have gained 2 back to back promotions and sitting top of the championship currently. Strange but I was offered england job after getting promoted from league 2? Anyway used this tactic with england too and won the international cup and top of my group now for the world cup qualifiers.

I like how the team plays and some of the football is great.

Cheers

@Cockers2505 about to try this out on a random save, thinking Sunderland - try and get back to enjoying the game after my last season in a challenge done me in 🤣

Did you find that one of your ST positions scores majority, and same with assists?

So what i mean is, if i have one 'world class' (so one stand out) player within a weak team, and he can play anywhere along the front line, do you think there is a specific role for stand out player?

Hope my question make sense.

Thanks mate, glad it's working with your team, i had loads of International success also in my challenge, and I am still having a lot of success with it as you will see below...

Cheers @Jsavfc, I have a lot of assists throughout the team to be truthful, some teams I have managed get a strong CF who scores a majority, and the Poacher assists quite a lot, but then in another game it could be a complete reverse and the Poacher can score 3 or 4 goals, and as I  am not doing a 1K or Assist challenge, I am happy to simply get the goals as you can guess with my Challenge.

Anyway still getting the success both Internationally and club level, regardless of what level...

Congrats @suman glad to see it still working, I am just about to finish off the Complete challenge using the same Tactic, Formation and Instructions throughout the whole career, regardless of club, country or division.

Best of tactic.. Bravo bro 👏👏👏

Thanks mate, I must admit I have started a new career, and so far I have won the Spanish League with Valencia, and now the Italian League with Juventus, and that was after starting my journey with French second division side, and after 19 games Southampton offered me a chance in the Premiership, which I did and saved them from Relegation, and after the end of Season one, Valencia came in for me, and all 4 clubs, and 3 seasons I have used it and each time I get success, plus I continue to get most of my players on a free, except the future young ones, who I buy for a over price, but work out as Gems in the future, and I mean new ones who could be Regens, but I don't care or look out for them, I simply pick from scouting myself.

First season in ligue 1 with a rather poor side compared to the giants of the division, no replaying matches , no editor , just this insane tactic. i straight up cannot believe my eyes

So glad it worked for you, I've been trying other tactics recently but everytime I end up switching to this one, I find no matter which club I manage, they take to this formation and tactic, good luck with your career if you continue using it, and thanks for posting your results

Hi All

Not normally one to show my used Tactics, but I know a couple have reported nothing works, yet I have had no problems both Club and International.

Not going to say it's the best, or that it will bring you instant success, but my career has been successful with all the teams I have managed in all 4 countries, and for those who have seen it can see I have not spent a penny yet won all cups and leagues available.

So the Formation is a 4-2-2-2

2 FB's to help with keeping the goals against (GA) down

1 AP to help provide assists, 1 CM to provide cover all round and provide clear cut passes with the right attributes

2 IF's to cut inside, and help provide either goals or assists

1 Poacher to pick up on missed chances or loose balls, and a CF to provide the finishing touches, Target man and strength in the box

IMG_7772.thumb.PNG.aac71cd7ca3e61d7eee081391dbd46fc.PNG

Shape is an attacking one to keep the opposition in their own half

keeping narrow to try and play better and closer football

tempo I keep fast to try and move the ball quicker hoping to create more chances

and a normal creative freedom to try and keep it as simple as possible

IMG_7773.thumb.PNG.64deac0dbc170ca338c2b56f389f0fd6.PNG

Defensive wise, I try and keep everything balanced with cover all over, as long as you don't have such aggressive defenders you can play with committed on. Don't play the offside rule as I found we conceded to many goals, especially with fast strikers

IMG_7774.thumb.PNG.7371d9dadc2a589bfc06be71cb5349cc.PNG

Attacking is simple, keep it short, pass it all around, try the runs cutting in where possible, and working it into the box for the front 2 strikers

IMG_7775.thumb.PNG.c74822fb0f4fb8ae6b9af7f77610fb9b.PNG

So just so you can see if it works, I have added my latest career where I have started lower league, and we'll rest is history as you will see.

IMG_7777.thumb.PNG.edddf6a0d2105034b92295ab5f10c53b.PNG

Hope. It works, if not, try another 😀

Can a target man work in this tactic or does It have to be a complete forward?

Ok thank you.

So I trialled the TM role with a new save, using a lower league team, York

I amended to Shoot on site to see how the outcome would be, here are the result, no cheating, no restarting, no amendments throughout the season:

Formation using a Poacher and Target Man - all the rest the same

Changed to Shoot on Target and Mixed passing style to see the outcome

I'm using a similar tactic, the difference is on the midfielders , I have one box to box and one ball winning and on the attack side I'm using early crosses and shoot on sight and works smooth. Also, side defenders I use wing-back and I get a lot of assists and the IF get around 10 goals a season

I tend to not use wing backs as I feel as though I leave my Defence open for compromise, ending in conceding to many goals, as you can see in the 2 seasons, I have done well to keep the numbers of goals conceded down as well.
