I am back with yet another short 2 season challenge, a sweet one from @danovic78:

 

So, of course i take charge of Olympiakos in Greek Super League, another reason behind choosing this challenge is that i have never played the Greek League.

Now, i am no way expected to top the monster score by @Ian, but i will try to set a good one and the man who will head this challenge for me for the next couple of seasons:

Thanks guys. Didn't wanted to use Toney again and he was the best of what I got for 3 mil. Hope his other skills compensate for being rubber legs. 😁

Hope he doesn't do too much defensively otherwise he won't be back in time to score. But that aerial and strength should make a good target man in Greece I think.

Apart from Stockley, we bring in Popov and Cousins and buyout Emre Mor's loan hoping that he can become a force in the wings. Also picked up a lot of freebies.

 

Season History

Europe was pretty bad. First we lost in the CL qualifiers and then we got knocked out of Europa League Round of 16. As far as domestic season goes, we won the double easily.

The Greek league has interesting set-up. The 14 teams play home and away for a total of 26 matches, after which it is divided into 2 groups, the top 6 moves to Championship Group and rest of the teams move to Relegation Group. They play home and away between them once again. So, a total of 36 matches are there to be played.

Stockley wins the Golden Boot and the Foreign POTY while Lovera and Mor comes second and third in the Super League Talent of the Year.

Lovera, the Argentinian who i retained in the team repaid the faith with 18 assists and 4 goals from 39 matches. He can definitely be a big player for the team if developed properly. I played him as an AP behind Stockley.

 

Jayden Stockley

Not bad at all considering his skill level as he manages 37 goals from 47 matches. Didn't gain even one point in pace, so have to do with his wobbly legs for another season.

 

Season 1 points = LP + GD + Goals = 88 + 40 + 37 = 165 points

Thanks guys. I tried spamming his aerials and it did work for a bit but the downside is he is also a terrible penalty taker, scoring only 1 out of every 5 attempts.

Nice season, he did well and if he just had that little bit more pace he’d be up there around a goal a game I’m sure. The league was interesting for me and remember struggling a bit after the league playoff cut off point during the first season as the games seemed to come thick and fast for a few weeks. I went for a bigger squad the next year which helped.

Yeah, great start mate! Agree with what everyone is saying about Pace, but you can't have everything when you player in the 'lesser' leagues and he looks great apart from that. 

I have to add Greece to the list of other leagues to try. Looks interesting.

We improve the squad a bit adding personnel in all the areas.

So, again dominating the domestic season but this time we qualified for the Champions League but couldn't get through to next stage from the group comprising Barcelona, Man City and Bayer Leverkusen.

Lovera's return were diminished from the 1st season as he missed a lot of games but he and Randjelovic formed a pretty good duo on the wings.

A better return than last season with 44 goals from 52.

 

Season 2 points = LP + GD + Goals = 97 + 50 + 44 = 191 points

Season 1 points = 165

Total = 356 points

Thanks Kun. The Serbian looks quality. He is on the starting squad in Olympiakos so good luck finding him.
