Help B team not training

Hi, to mix it up a bit I decided to try and manage Athletic Bilbao. As some of you know, they only allow players of basque nationality to play for them. This means youth development is very important to your success.

However, my entire B team needs "improved specialist coaching" or something similar. Furthermore, they seem to constantly stay in "off-season", which means they are not training. I've never had this problem with Reserve teams in say, England. Anyone know a way around this problem?

It's buggy, but how far down have you loaded in Spain? Maybe they sort of think they're in the third division, but it's not actually been loaded, so they're a bit in limbo?

Unfortunately B teams in Spain seemed to bug in the February update and all players are permanently knackered and in “off season” all the time.

The best thing is to probably promote the best youth players to the first team and then loan them out if they can’t get a game for you.

Hopefully it will be fixed in FMM21 but who knows...

I doubt that would be a problem, considering I do have their league loaded and their games are all simulated.

Well that sucks I guess, kinda messes with my whole vision of developing my own youth players. Guess loaning will have to do the trick as you say, still a shame considering I have a great coaching staff. Either way, thanks for the help!

If it is only bugged in the Feb update, you could just use the Nov DB where the bug isnt around?

I think Foxy meant that it came along with the February update, which means it would still happen if you load the old database. Correct me if I'm wrong though

In regards to the B team it kinda sucks you can't manage them. When I used to play the full PC version of FM I had a really enjoyable save with Real Madrid Castilla would of loved to try it with Bilbao due to their unique transfer policy.
