Yes he looks very promising and with the way things are looking we might get to see a bit more of him next season.

You are doing fine Woody as your boys just don’t have the quality. There’s another chat on the forum where if you read through it you’d think any goals scoring challenge with say PSG, Real, Barca etc is just guaranteed but it’s not the case and if you could hit a TT with your chosen players you’d have done fantastically well for me.

Cheers bud, its defo a different way to get there 😂

Woody: Season 4.

I'm not going to sugar coat it but had been a tough season on our last outing and to be honest this wasnt much easier either.

I decided i need more quality in the squad so i got rid of the constant moaners and replaced them with players that moaned less.

We missed out a some silverware last season so i wanted to try and pick up what we missed this time round.

We won the league farely comfortably only losing the once.

Beltran is looking sweet as a nut now but he is still struggling to make an impact on the squad.

he finished the season with another poor 5 assists.

The Padres were doing reasonably but this year they really struggled for fitness and form.

Nino struggled the most and could only register 12 goals. Ruiz had another good season notching 32 so i was pleased with that and Zarzana managed to top  his previous best and collected a tidy 23 goals.

So that 67 for the season. A little disappointing but i have to keep telling myself that i'm not using the normal. I am enjoying this though despite the difficulties but i want to maximise the lads uptop so i'm considering a rethink of how we play going forward.

The lads are doing fantastic though and its great to be apart of this.

I bid thee a fondest of days.

Zarzana is developing into a beast. The rest are having nice set of attributes there.

Might see like a low number but certainly not a “disappointing” season @Woody. They seems to grow very well, score good numbers of goals/assist and you’ve won all the competition too.

This season takes a lot of fiddling because of the World Cup. Zarzana looks like a beast now. Well done. I almost think you should have a golf handicap applied because of your player selection.

He does Rob. He has turned out better than expected tbh.

My player selection fullstop is to be desired 😂😂😂

This winter World Cup year can be horrible for fitness.

Zarzana does look nice but the other two not quite so much and I thought Nino would’ve developed better.

Its like you’re on a different challenge to us though so doing well.

Loving it though.

Ian - Season 4

This is the year the World Cup is held in the middle of the season so can often be a bit frustrating on a club only save but as we’re also managing Holland here I was quite looking forward to it so I’ll start there.

Holland

We won the World Cup after beating Belgium in the final via a penalty shootout after the Postman had scored a nice brace in normal time. The better international matches came earlier in the tournament though as we beat Uruguay 6-0 and Chile 7-1 with our trio well amongst the goals. All in all Boadu got 9 goals for his country, Postema 12 and Zirkzee 13, so a total of 34 to add to our club return.

Club

Transfers

We brought in midfield playmaker Elmas, wide player Dest and a bunch of young Dutch players including Hoever who I think could turn into a great central defender if we can manage to train his aerial up.

Team Results

We won everything but it certainly wasn’t a total cakewalk as we had a few scrapes along the way and we were very close to defeat in the Champions League final against Bayern. They scored what they probably thought would be the winning goal in the 86th minute but as we approached stoppage time Boadu grabbed the equaliser and then Josh came up with the winner right at the death.

Warriors

I think this was my favourite club game where all three strikers were amongst the goals in a 7-2 victory over Real Madrid in the quarter final of the Champions League.

Josh got 41 goals for PSG this season, the Postman 24 and Boadu 31, so a combined total of 96 and not too dissimilar to the previous couple of seasons. With the 34 international goals we ended up with 130 for the season so we’ve got to be pretty happy with that. Our assist warrior hasn’t really got going yet but things could be looking up as he had his best return so far with 23 in 36 games.

Your assister has come up better this season too. Nicely done.

Thank you Woody, the assister warrior does seem to be doing a bit better. He’s either on the left wing or sometimes in the centre as an AP where I think he may be better but I’ve got Havertz there as first choice.

Foxy Season 4

In my season 3 update I mentioned how I thought I had worked out a way of stopping the U21 bug that makes your young picked for both the U21 squad and the full team you are managing.

Under the spoiler is the solution I found but @Ian @Rob and @Woody you aren’t allowed to peak.

Spoiler

It’s a very simple fix. When you are asked to pick your ITN squad you need to remove all the players from your squad and then repick the squad and submit it as usual. This seemed to correct the problem for me although it doesn’t stop it happening in the future with other youngsters but you simply just need to repeat the process.

It also seems to correct the bug that means your ITN team selection is all over the place.

 Back to the update.

A few transfers mostly out as it is now just a case of keeping the squad ticking over with talent to replace the moaners.

It was another successful season on the pitch with a clean sweep and no games lost in the league at all. I thought I was going to win the full 38 but a couple of draws towards the end destroyed that.

My assisting Warrior Capanni is starting to look really good now except for his rubbish stamina which prevents him playing as much as I would like. This is also hampered by needing to sub my strikers to keep them fit as they are more important to me than the assists challenge. Instead I play Capanni for two full 90s then he will sit out a game to regain fitness.

He actually had a spell out injured this season which restricted him to only 32 appearances but a return of 20 assists in those is very good especially as he isn’t playing as a winger but instead an AP.

Season 04 - England - Rob

I did a slight tactical tweak that led to our best season yet. Rogers’ position was annoying me and I finally settled on him as as a deep lying forward.

Dele and Joe Gomez came in. The prior was to come in as a central midfielder in my B team, once I’d retrained his position, and the latter was as my backup central defender. A couple of younger players had improved enough to allow Grimaldo to leave. Koke handed in a transfer request and had dropped in standard.

Internationally we bombed our to Portugal in a semi-final classic.

But we manage to defeat the Italians to grab third place.

I don’t know if anyone else has ever managed England, but the expectations at tournaments tend to be first knockout round or quarters, yet the squad is really good. Aside from my main three lads I can call on Kane, Rashford, Sterling, CHO, Nelson, Sancho, etc, in attack. Weird.

We did the clean sweep of trophies and scored plenty in the league.

Elliot got 19 assists, which is a drop from last season. Yet the boys utterly monstered it with 160 goals. ITN certainly helped this year. I’m not going to lie: this was one of the most satisfying seasons in FMM for me in ages as everything just clicked.
