In the football world, we have seen so many famous iconic footballers' kids now playing in different leagues. Many of them are still young and some of them have hardly replicated the success their dads had - giving the papas all the bragging rights. Challenge is to prove the dad's wrong! so here are some father-son duos which one can take up and lead the sons to glorious victories their fathers had...  

 

Ranked! The 12 fathers and sons who've both played in the Premier ...

Pick one of your favorite challenges and get going - let's see who can do the maximum. Please leave comments for any suggestions or modifications.

Duo #1: 

- Peter Schmeichel and Kasper 

Peter had a successful tenure at Manchester United, his trophy cabinet includes 5 Premier League, 3 FA Cup, 1 Football League Cup, 4 FA Charity Shield, 1 UEFA Champions League and 1 European Super Cup

Challenge: Sign Kasper at Man United and lead him to achieve what his dad achieved at Manchester United (above mentioned)? 

 

Duo #2:

- Alfe-Inge Haaland and Erling 

Nothing very notable in Alfe-Ing's trophy cabinet but he really disliked Manchester United and couldn't stand their players and as one would do, he played for their city rivals Man City. 

Challenge: Revenge time - Take control of Man City and sign Erling Haaland - win all the Manchester Derbies with Erling scoring in all of them and eventually win all trophies (sex-tuple, maybe?) - pretty easy but yea its a fun challenge.

 

Duo #3:

- Danny Blind and Daley 

Danny Blind spent the majority of his career at Ajax making 372 apps. He won 5 Eredivisie, 4 KNVB Cups, 2 JC shield, 1 UCL, 1 UEFA cup, 1 Super Cup and 1 Intercontinental (CWC)

Challenge: Daley Blind is currently playing at Ajax - lead him to replicate his father's trophy cabinet.  

 

Duo (Trio) #4: 

- Zinedine Zidane & Enzo and Luca 

Zinedine Zidane was a key member of the famous Galactico Squad. With Real Madrid, he won 1 La Liga, 2 Supercoppa, 1 UCL, 1 Super Cup, and 1 intercontinental (CWC) and scored 'that goal' in the UCL final against Bayer Leverkusen. 

Challenge:  lead Enzo and Luca at RMFC, and get the Zidane bois to replicate the trophy cabinet of their dad's at RMFC - also, get Enzo to score a goal in UCL final. 

 

Duo #5: 

- Patrick Kluivert & Justin 

Patrick spent his youth at Ajax - where he won 2 Dutch leagues, 2 super cups, 1 UCL, 1 UEFA super cup, and 1 intercontinental (CWC) before moving to Europe's giant clubs like Milan and Barca. 

Challenge: Sign up the young Justin at Ajax and get him to win all that his dad won at Ajax during his time. 

 

Duo #6:

- Paolo Maldini & Daniel 

One man club - Paolo won a lot of with Milan in Milan's dominating years. He won 7 Serie A titles, 5 Super Coppa, 5 UCL, 4 UEFA Super Cups, 3 Intercontinental Cups, and 1 Coppa Italia.

If you are a Milan fan - this is going to be a fun challenge of rolling back the glory years with his son Daniel Maldini. Can you do it?  

 

Duo #7: 

- Lilian Thuram & Marcus 

Challenge: Lilian Thuram achieved back to back Italian double with Juventus - the challenge is to sign up Marcus at Juve and do Back to back trebles. 

 

Duo #8: 

- Gheorghe Hagi & Ianis 

The Romanian became a Turkish legend by winning a lot with the Turkish giants Galatasaray - he won 4 Super lig, 2 Turkish Cup, 2 Turkish Super cup, 1 UEFA Cup and 1 UEFA super cup. 

Challenge: Take over Galatasaray and sign up his son Ianis Hagi - lead him to replicate his Father's trophy cabinet.

Nice Challenge - I don't have time to try them now, but I can see it would be appealing. I've actually wondered whether there are enough sons in the game that you could build a whole squad of just sons, but I'm not sure if that would be feasible. This is probably a much more sensible approach to using them! 🙂
