@Kanegan Get applying for the real Newcastle job mate , I'd take 4th any day! Some players I've never never heard of you've signed, I know of that Lusamba from Nice as we apparently getting him this summer on a free , shame you couldn't win a cup but for a first season that's quality!

Thanks mate. Some nice quality gems to be had there. I was eyeing the Carabao Cup but Auba's hattrick in the semis against us at Emirates did us in. Hoping for a better return next season. Lusamba didn't play that much this season but he is training well as a BBM so hopefully he gets some appearances under his belt moving forward.

Great start mate! I think I'm about to start the same challenge, and would be really happy with results like that. I'm sure my first season will be worse off. Of course now you know why I chose this challenge, so I can see which players to buy! 😄 Nah didn't really plan it like that and I'll definitely have some different players (if I can sign the ones I've been eyeing up).

Anyway, this has been a great start keep it up!

Predictions: Players with double digit goals: 4; Highest number of individual assists: 30.

Yeah I probably will give it a go , got my long term arsenal save to finish but could take a break from it and crack out 2 saves at once , got challenge cup coming up I think so probably put my current saves on the shelf until that finishes!

Pretty sure I won't blow you out of the water! I'll probably have some better players because you didn't know player exchanges and sell on percentages were okay to use, but you've done really well there and I've gone over the top with reconstructing the team. As in I am going to have to player youngsters who are intimidated by the EPL... I've got some more experienced players, but not enough, so the first season's gonna be a really struggle...

Another bunch of outgoings and incomings with Leris and Augustin the main players to be signed with others as backup. Now, where do that leave our squad in terms of nationalities?

So, it leaves only 4 non-French players in our first team squad. They will of course be packed out next season but selling Lascelles will be very difficult as he has been a solid BPD for us.

 

Season History

And Newcastle are Premier League champions!!! In a brilliant sophomore season, we pick up the PL after fending off Man Utd & Arsenal. Additionally we also win the Carabao Cup though our first foray into CL was a disaster.

We could not qualify from a relatively easy group of Roma, Ajax and PSG as we were pretty inconsistent, losing 4 and winning 2.

Cyprien drops a place to #5 as his injuries prevented him from playing more but he managed 12 assists and 4 goals from 32 matches.

The new signing Leris showed his value to the team, playing as an IF on the right side of the striker and managing 14 assists and 7 goals.

Maximin kept up his brilliant performance for the team with 17 goals and 12 assists which was down though from last season as he played 8 more games.

This man has been a legend in just his 1st season with the Toons and he has no intention of letting it go as he prepared for another massive season.

A mind boggling 6 hattricks and 2 quadruples aside, he still found time to get injured for a month.

Aye won everything and had Maximin join him in the World XI. I also won my second MOTY in a row. We also had four representations in the PL TOTY.

Good Start and quite fitting that your star player is called aye considering a Geordie ( Newcastle ) saying is (whey) aye 😂

Premier League and Carabao Cup is a brilliant second season , hopefully a progression into the Knockout rounds of the champions League happens next season

Yeah, that's a really good season. What did you do to deserve that CL group? I've seen tougher, but not much - that's a decent group of opponents and no smaller clubs. 

As for Lascelles, he has always done well for me and I really think he should be allowed because of his French sounding name...

Got off to terrible start as you know, but steadied the ship and now solidly mid-table in early December. Getting about 1 goal per game, which needs to improve obviously. But most of the lads have had a couple of upgrades now and will continue to improve, so I'm hopeful of getting into the European spots. Fingers crossed though!

Some good quality hat trick action going on from Aye. He looks very good and I can’t say I’ve came across him previously.

Thanks guys. I had never heard of him before either but the looks a great bargain buy as he develops rapidly. He could develop into a great striker from the looks of it.

Was pretty busy with RL and Challenge Cup so couldn't find time for this. So, finally having completed this, let's move on to the last season.

Pretty forgettable season where the only highlights was picking up the Community Shield and moving to the quarters of UCL. A long list of injuries to all of my star players at different points of the campaign really dented any progression.

We went out on away goals against Bayern, won via penalties in the Community Shield against Liverpool, got trounced by Arsenal in the Carabao and lost a close match against Everton in the FA Cup. That just about sums our performance.

Cyprien was injured on 3 separate occassions which hampered his play throughout the season. He got the least no. of assists in his Newcastle career.

Maximin dropped down to #4 from #2 in the last 2 seasons mainly because he missed plenty of goals and could muster only 6, the lowest of the campaign although his assists increased to 16.

Still in 3rd with consistent returns although he never managed to hit the heights of his 1st season but still pretty consistent.

Good season mate. Pity you couldn't reach the heights of last season, but a fantastic score overall, don't think I'm going to be able to get near it (though my season 2 is much better). Out of interest, did you load the French league for this one?

Yeah, so did I. But then I regretted it later, because the French regens all come back as 16 year olds and aren't really ready in time for this challenge. If they came back as any age 16-24 then I might have found some worth signing. As it is, I'm having trouble buying players who can add anything to the squad. Will probably stick mostly with the first season players...
