Help Can't sign players because of wage budget

I try to sign Frenkie De Jong all the time, I agree his transfer fee (150 M) with the club. He wants 400k / week but the game only allows me to offer him max 250k/week even if my transfer budget is 500 M and my wage budget is 2 M. Max signing on fee is 6.75M.Can anyone help?

At which team are you playing? Some lesgues have a maximum amount of wages allowed

err... go to finances - try toggling between your transfer budget and wage budget - strike a balance until you are able to free up funds and are able to give him 375k/400k 

most of the time it worked for me - try and let me know
