Career A Goal A Minute ft. El Bufalo

Hi Vibe, it’s been a while!

I wanted to get back posting before FMM2021 comes out, and as you may have guessed from the title I will be attempting @Ashez A Goal A Minute Challenge, which you can read more about here 👇

Basically, over the career I have to attempt to have a striker score a goal in every minute between 1-90 (91-120 ET are bonuses).

Now, which striker and team will I choose to attempt this with?

Well, as a Rangers fan and knowing that it could  possibly be his last season as a player at Ibrox, I have decided to go with “El Bufalo”, Alfredo Morelos 🐃🇨🇴

With plenty of games to play, including Europa League qualifiers, potentially European group stage football and beyond, plus, hopefully, two runs to domestic cup finals, there should be plenty of opportunities for him to rack up the goals.

In my updates, I’ll be showing screenshots of each occasion in which he scores a goal in a new minute. Plus I’ll show any transfers and trophies won as well, but obviously the goals are the most important part.

First update coming this weekend hopefully 😁

I'll be watching this to see how you get on.

I found following the winter update, Alfie was nowhere near as potent whenever I started a new game.

🐃🇨🇴 Season One Update 🐃🇨🇴

There was a few changes to the squad at the start of the season, with some players deemed surplus to requirements leaving, along with a couple of youth team players, while incomings included the loan signings of former Rangers player Billy Gilmour, and Southampton left back Jake Vokins, both signed as cover, while Karim Onisiwo joined from Mainz to become our first choice at right wing.

So, now for the all important goals...

Two good for Connah’s Quay.

Returning from injury as a second half substitute, El Bufalo went on the attack, quickly making up for lost time as he added 81’ and 89’ to his list, as well as a bonus for his 90+3’ goal that sealed a hatrick.

Three goals from El Bufalo saw us on our way to lift the trophy for our second trophy of the season, and also saw a pair of minutes crossed off following a penalty after 61’, and the goal that put us in front on 90 minutes. This double was followed by a second 93rd minute goal of the season for Morelos, which rounded off his goalscoring exploits for the campaign.

A good year for Morelos, as he scored 44 goals in 49 games along the way to collecting two trophies. There was some dissapointment though, in the form of a semi-final defeat in the Betfred Cup, and a Europa League group stage exit, where three points separated 4th from 1st.

🐃🇨🇴 SEASON TWO UPDATE 🐃🇨🇴

[UPDATE OVER TWO POSTS BECAUSE I GOT TO THE END OF THE GOALS SECTION AND IT WOULDN’T LET ME TYPE BELOW IT FOR SOME REASON]

Even though our first campaign had been quite a successful one, our second season still saw plenty of transfer business, as well as an attempt to give more minutes to young homegrown players, such as Ross McCrorie, Danny Finlayson, Nathan Patterson, Jamie Barjonas, and Dapo Mebude. This left our starting XI and subs looking like this.

7254F9B6-EE00-4141-B7E6-7CA283BBA4D1.thumb.jpeg.91ce24304875f1b2e5b800b513b2d239.jpeg

Notable departures included Nikola Katic moving to Sassuolo for a fee of £23m. First choice left and right backs Borna Barisic and James Tavernier also left the club, along with Allan McGregor, Ryan Jack, Jordan Jones, Filip Helander and Scott Arfield. Sheffield United’s John Egan also moved on in the January transfer window having only made the move to Ibrox in the previous transfer window.

In terms of incomings, new goalkeeper Illan Meslier from FC Lorient was joined by QPR’s attacking midfielder Ebere Eze to plug the gap following Ianis Hagi’s loan ending, while wingers Niclas Eliasson and Josh Bowler also arrived at rhe club. At left back, Marc Cucurella was signed on loan from Barcelona, before the January signing of Monchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaïni. Diogo Dalot also signed on loan to cover at left and right back, while Leon Balogun came in on a free transfer.

Anyway, enough of the transfer talk, we’re all here for the goals aren’t we...

🐃🇨🇴 SEASON TWO UPDATE 🐃🇨🇴

Another good season for Morelos as he scored about a goal a game on average.

This goalscoring form would have been a big part of our chances of winning trophies, so let’s have a look how we did in that respect.
