Career (Season 5)RVP. A Brazilian Bernabeu Triple Threat.

Introduction:

Hello and welcome to my Triple Threat challenge, because of the players chosen (and its the abbreviation for a player who gave me one season of happiness after years of hatred) I will be dubbing it R. V. P. This will be my first official attempt (on Vibe), I've spent the last couple of weeks pickling my brain trying to tweak and change a tactic that I was happy with and I hope I finally found it. So here's the breakdown. 

 

My Starting settings:

I usually load the February database but in this case I fancied a change. Superstar reputation for no real reason except I'm pretty sure the board give you a few extra quid. As for coaching style I always pick fitness (not sure why, it's always been my preference)

 

The Team:

This was obvious by the title but yes I've chosen Real Madrid.

 

The Players:

1.

Paulinho! I've used him a couple of times on FMM 20 as a winger, but this time as per the rules of the challenge, he will be converted to a centre forward (and a bloody good one, hopefully)

2.

Rodrygo! Haven't used this guy at all so I can't wait to see how he turns out. Again he will be trained as a centre forward.

3.

Vinicius Junior! Like Rodrygo I havent used Vini ever, but looking at his attributes, I'm expecting big things from him. Like the others he will be retrained as a striker. 

 

Conclusion:

As you know my target for this challenge is to get 1500 goals between my three chosen superstars. I hope you can join me on my journey and any tips and advice you guys have please feel free to share it with me. I aim to have the first season uploaded by tomorrow. Seeyas then.😊

Season One update:

Season one of a long (and hopefully successful) career, how did we get on, let's see:

 

Competitions:

League champions, but we didn't score as much as I thought we'd score. Out early in the CL, but we did make it to the EL final, losing very late on thanks to Jason Sancho, and taking the CDR in a shootout.

A massive season one squad rebuild worthy of @Scratch I hope 😂, my transfer strategy was to buy young stars and mould them to fit my system.

 

The Stars:

29 goals and some decent growth, I'm focusing on aerial training for all three players but its nowhere near as OP as it used to be, but any growth is progress. 

21 goals and some really nice stats growth to both movement and shooting, funny enough he grew well but had the worst season of all three. 

And lastly Vini, 30 goals, played the least, grew the least in attributes, but scored the most (nope, I don't get it either)

 

80/1500 goals target. 

Not a great season on the whole but the team is very young, (the average age was 19.50 years at the start of the season) as they mature and grow I'm sure we'll doing a lot better. Till the next season guys, seeyas.

Season 2:

With my very young squad having a year to develop I expected to improve in every area this season, here's how we got on:

 

Competitions:

A clean sweep of the trophies and an unbeaten league season, cant ask for much more than that, my young squad done me proud. 

 

Transfers:

No transfers made, as I felt I'd give everyone two seasons to grow and then evaluate their progress. 

This is our sole youth academy graduaute and he slotted right in as a backup striker. 

Out:

The players out were just players I couldn't ship in season 1, PSG got Jovic for an absolute steal but I just wanted him sold.

 

The Stars:

41 goals in 42 games, a much better season from Rodrygo, he's slowly developing into a world class forward

31 goals in 45 games, a better season from Paulinho, but I'd like a bit more from him, he is backup to Rodrygo and Vini though so his numbers will be lower

47 goals in 52 games, the most improved of the three, we need him hitting these numbers and higher every year, hes still developing nicely. Aerial training is so slow though, so I can't see any of them reaching 16/17 aerial before they peak.

 

199/1500 Triple Threat target. 

 

Much better season on the whole, 119 goals between the three players, if we can improve these to around 150 a season we'll be well on our way, as the players grow and hopefully get better in the air we should see these numbers rise, thanks for reading guys and any comments are welcome.

Season 3:

 

Flying through the seasons, so I thought I'd upload season 3 so soon after, we had a stormer of a season last year, could we keep the success rolling in and could RVP add a decent chunk of goals to our total. Let's find out. 

 

Competitions:

Stormed to the league title again (to be expected) and a Supercup victory (forgot to screenshot it, sorry) 😔 as for the other competitions, going out in the CL semi final, thanks to a 88th minute Thomas Muller away goal, penalty shootout loss to Barca in the Supercopa final and again Barca where our downfall in the Copa Del Rey, we fought valiantly at the Bernabeu but just couldn't quite overturn the 3-0 loss at the Camp Nou.

Two big money signings De Ligt to rotate with Upamecano as my sole CB in the tactic and Christian Pulisic to become my 1st choice right Winger replacing the outgoing Eden Hazard.

As mentioned above Hazard left us for PSG, and the plan with De Ligt lasted 4 months as he was sold in January for being a moany so-and-so 😠, didn't want to rotate with Dayot, so I made the decision to sell De Ligt as Dayot was much better attributes wise. 

 

The Stars:

49 goals in 44 games, a tiny improvement on last season, with 2 more goals, 8 less games played also, didn't have the CWC to boost his totals but a good total nonetheless, growth wise his aerial is stuck on 12 so I can't see it rising anymore than that, an elite forward regardless of his 50p head.

44 goals in 45 games, a decent total, very little attribute growth is a little worrying but he's still young and should develop a little more before peaking.

24 goals in 51 games, very poor season from Paulinho, deffo the weakest of the three and hes already got the 'unlikely to improve significantly' on his training report, he looks the part but never really performs on matchday. 

(had to black out his total goals and season 4 goals as I forgot to screenshot them in the previous season) 

 

316/1500 Triple Threat target. 

 

So after Season 3 we're just over 1/5 of the way to 1500 goals, which means we would need around 12 more seasons to reach our goal, still a long way to go and hopefully we can improve on this season, thanks for reading and seeya on the next one.

Season 4:

Im currently in Season 10 so I thought it was about time I upload some more seasons 😊 before I fall way behind. Here's how we got on in Season 4:

 

Competitions:

As expected by this point we won the league, Barca pushed us close but too many draws on their part handed us the title, a tight Madrileno derby Copa Del Rey victory, nervy moments at the end with Guendouzi being sent for an early bath, but we held strong and scraped the cup, the Supercopa was a different story, a comfortable 3-0 win. We failed to complete the elite treble though with Liverpool scraping a very tight Champions League final tie, Vini getting sent off just as the second half was starting didn't help our cause and Liverpools defence held up to take it 1-0.

 

Transfers:

Just one youth academy graduate this season, didn't feel we needed any reinforcements, (in hindsight, I should've signed at least two players to bolster our options) 

As far as the outgoings Ferland and Valery were performing so poorly in the wingback positions so they had to go, everyone else was players I've been trying to sell for 4 years with no success 🤷‍♂️

 

The Stars:

38 goals in 40 games for Rod, a decent amount, happy enough with these numbers

14 goals in 23 games, a horrid season for Paulinho, as you can see from his appearances he had a bad injury this season

4 months out injured from February to the end of the season, he wouldn't have set the world alight but I'm sure he'd of done better than he did if not for this

58 goals in 49 games, that's more like it, Vini is carrying the trio at the moment, but I'm sure Rod will be hitting strong numbers alongside Vini every season soon.

Season 5:

New season, same story domestic treble and Liverpool ruin my Champions league dreams again (starting to become an annoying pattern) 

 

Transfers:

Ihatarren signed for big money from PSG, rotates perfectly with Verschaeren as an AP in the AM position. Just one outgoing, Zaniolo was so disappointing, every other time I've used him he's turned out incredible, this time round he barely had any greens and so I had to cut my losses and get rid. 

 

The Stars:

A decline in attributes is never nice but I think he had a couple of month long injuries this season, so to pull out 46 goals in 43 games is good enough for me

31 goals in 41 games. A much better season this time round from our backup striker, matching his best season in 4 less games, so some progress there, and some attribute growth also.

61 goals in 46 games, the main man strikes again with a a very healthy goalscoring season, eclipsing last by 3 goals in 3 less games, more of this please Vini.
