Having finished my Goaltopia challenge attempt I will now be attempting The Peak Years Challenge, listed here:

The Team:

Yes I will be using Napoli for this attempt. 

 

The Formation:

I used this tactic throughout my Goaltopia attempt and it done very well. 

 

The Players:

Introducing 'M&M', Milik and Mariano. I've never used Milik so it will interesting for me to see how he does, he looks to be a quality forward already and still some development in him. 

Mariano I have used but only ever as backup, like Milik he looks quality and still has a bit of growth. 

 

So that's the intro done and I'm really looking forward to seeing what these two can do for me, Season 1 will hopefully be up today.

Season 1:

Before we get started, I have to say I've played all five seasons already, so I'm going to upload them all back to back.

• We finish a massive 24 points behind a dominant Juve side
• FC Bayern tip us to the CL on penalties after we controlled the game throughout
• And finally first bit of silverware, getting revenge in Juve, 2-1 in the TIM cup

• Went mad with the rebuild once more
• Spent too much on big money transfers and had to get a few loans to bolster options
• Wanted to keep Fabian, but he moaned about not getting to leave 
• Kondogbia brought in as a more than capable replacement
• Bukayo Saka signed, he is one of my favourite players on the game

• Mariano: 37 goals and 9 assists
• Milik: 25 goals and 9 assists
• Total for Season 1: 62 goals and 18 assists=80 points

Not the worst score for the first season, but we need to improve on this next year, the youngsters around them will improve, so that should raise everybodys game next season. Seeyas then.

Season 2:

Season 1 was a decent season for us, but there is definitely room for improvement, here's how we got on in Season 2:

• Romping to Serie A, 10 points clear of Juve this time round
• Quarter Final exit to Juve in the TIM Cup
• Penalty shootout win over Juve in the Supercopa (its as if us and Juve are the only teams in Italy) 😂
• Out in the first round of the Champions League to Bayern (defence really let us down in both legs)

• Just a handful of new signings
• Demiral to replace the outgoing Koulibaly and Troost-Ekong as a solid, cheap backup
• Plenty of players leaving, most of them were players loaned out last season

• Mariano: 20 goals and 5 assists
• Milik: 34 goals and 9 assists
• Total for Season 2: 54 goals and 18 assists=72 points
• Career total: 80+72=152 points

Well that's disappointing, a 4 month injury to Mariano, put an end to any sort of decent season, Milik rescued the numbers somewhat. Seeyas on Season 3.

Season 3:

After a unfortunate long term injury to Mariano in Season 2 we needed this season to be full of goals, here's how we got on:

Competitions:

• 19 points clear of Juve to take Serie A back-to-back 
• We take the CWC with a 1-0 win over Liverpool, stifled their star studded attack all game, which was very pleasing 
• We finally get our hands on the Champions League, beating the Europa League specialists Sevilla 2-1, after dominating the game from start to finish
• Speaking of dominating, Inter Milan were tore apart in the TIM Cup 4-1
• And again Inter Milan were blown away in the Supercoppa 4-0 (they're sick of the sight of us)

• Big money spent on bolstering the quality in depth of the squad
• Harvey Barnes was a new experience for me
• Donny Van De Beek done nothing but moan so he was sold

Mariano: 52 goals and 8 assists

Total for Season 3: 89 goals and 21 assists=110 points

Career Total: 80+72+110=262 points

A much better season on the whole, more of this from now on will do very nicely, seeyas on Season 4.

Season 4:

We needed a much better season last year and the boys delivered, scoring aplenty and wrapping up all the trophies in the baby blue ribbons of Napoli, let's get to Season 4:

• A huge 28 points clear of Juve this season, clinching our third Serie A title in a row
• A very one sided CL final, beating Liverpool 2-0
• A cagey affair against Juve in the TIM Cup final went our way, 2-1
• Inter Milan beaten all over the pitch once again, but a tight game in terms of the scoreline, we took it 2-1

• Davinson joins as our main CB for the remainder of the challenge all being well
• Tolisso joins as a world class midfielder, to plug any holes we might have
• Ghoulam was fantastic throughout, but an injury hit him hard and he never recovered fully
• The outgoings were the rest of the deadwood leaving

Milik: 44 goals and 10 assists

Mariano: 39 goals and 10 assists

Total for Season 4: 83 goals and 20 assists=103 points

Career total: 80+72+110+103=365 points

Down by 7 points on last year, injuries again, Mariano had 2 injuries, Milik had 1, they still hit strong numbers, but the 5th and final season needs to be a strong one, seeyas on Season 5.

Season 5: 

The fifth and final season is here and we need to finish strongly, this is how got on:

• The easiest Serie A ever, 31 points clear of Roma
• 3-1 win over Barca in the UEFA Super Cup
• Beat Barca handsomely in the CL final 4-1
• 2-0 win against Roma in the TIM Cup
• A dominant 4-1 win versus Juventus in the Supercoppa final

Challenge score: 475

Mariano and Milik scored 47.7% of all our Teams Goals, I would of liked this to be closer to 60%, which tells me my tactic needs a bit more tweaking before it is fully optimised for shifting goals to the Strikers. 

I'm happy with that score though and I'm sure I could improve on it in time. I had a lot of fun playing this challenge, I played all five seasons in less than two days (yes, I don't have a life) thank you for this challenge@Foxy

Great score mate, I have used Mariano and Milik recently and both great players. Congrats on your score.
