Career FC Viktoria Köln - My Philosophy

CHOOSING THE CAREER

I chose FC Viktoria Köln as they were the smallest club in the German Liga 3. Founded in 1904, the club has experienced a steady decline since World War 2. I wanted to reverse this decline and give the FC Viktoria Köln a reason to celebrate.

STADIUM & FACILITIES

When I joined the club, FC Viktoria Köln had below average 1st team and youth facilities. After asking the board to improve this, the facilities now are adequate. The Stadium remains at over 10,000 capacity with a current average attendance of only 1,000.

STAFF, TRAINING & FINANCE

When I arrived at the club, I make one of my first jobs to improve the Club Staff with FC Viktoria Köln now made up of mostly silver badged coaches with 1x Gold Coach. The Finances remain green due to selling all of the original squad to make way for better quality players, focusing on Stamina & Pace. The Training System is now directed by me and set to train players in their position/roles and with a focus on Technique.

SQUAD

As you can see below, there have been lots of changes to the squad. I sold/released the entire original squad for FC Viktoria Köln as they did not have high enough quality in Stamina & Pace. Instead, a new squad was formed focusing on the below attributes:

• GK-Handling/Reflexes
• All outfield Players- Stamina/Pace

TACTIC

I used my Original Barcelona 2011 Tiki-Taka Tactic for this season. The tactic worked very well with a 55% win rate and best defence in the league. The tactic also provided excellent possession football & shots on goal with the highly energetic and pacey players we had bought.

THE RESULT

The result was Promotion to the Bundesliga 2 which goes down as one of my top achievements on FMM2020. Liga 3 is very competitive and FC Viktoria Köln are by far not one of the better teams in the division. The Focus on players with Stamina & Pace was the key in providing us with chances, energy through the season and more vitally - Wins! 🥳🥳🥳

I had a career with this team few months ago and I must say it was the hardest so far... In fact, I was sacked at the first try so I had to take on a second time to succeed.

It is 100% one of my toughest challenges on FMM2020.

Season 2

The 2nd season resulted in more success for the club. It was tightly contested but ultimately, we had a fantastic season in Bundesliga 2. We now find ourselves competing in the big one - the bundesliga!🥳🥳🥳 

I kept most of the players from the previous season, buying new players again with outstanding pace and stamina.

UPDATE - Season 3

Absolutely Unbelievably, FC Viktoria Köln have won the Bundesliga in my 3rd Season in charge!!🥳🥳🥳 This is a remarkable conclusion to a really challenging but exciting save. The main factor for the success was having players with excellent fitness(Stamina & Pace). You can see from the league table just how tight the race was! Finally, FC Viktoria Köln have hit the highest position in German Football.
