Tactics League winning 4-1-3-2

Fancied something a bit different and while watching a Leipzig game I liked their 4-1-3-2 setup, so had a bash at getting a working one going for myself. It's not from the first season because I had already played a bit into the career, but as you will see it's far from a world class set of players used. Some of the defeats early were from playing around with the instructions and things a bit but it's still won me the Premier League along with some player awards and a Manager of the year award. I'm interested to see how it does now in a second season without further tweaking, but feel free to test and tweak it yourselves if you wish. It seems a solid base to work from once I settled on the final (for now at least) version. Martinez wasn't signed until January so my front two was Daka and Whittaker or Augustin as both are good wide left or as one of the strikers. I was gutted about the Champions League because I outplayed Dortmund in that first game and should have scored more, but for the return my players were knackered and I had three injuries to key players and it weakened the side I was able to field. Oh one last thing, the DLF seems to be very important to this setup working well so make sure you get one that fits the role! I found Augustin does well as one, Whittaker too but he wasn't quite as effective.

That is nearly what I suggested in another Thread - and I have still success with mine, so I can imagine how good yours is.

I will try to adapt a few thins from here.

What I have different set regarding the formation:

I changed the IFs to Wingers and it seem to work better...

Also I set the AP one row back.

And Instead of a DLP I use an AF, but cannot say, if my way is the better one.

 

Tactics Setup is also similar in my club.

Tactics Setup is also similar in my club.

I did that with the right sided IF in the following season and it's good so far. I also changed the right FB to a WB. Not played many games into the next season yet though.

I've changed the player roles back to how I had them but changed Tempo to normal. Seems more effective that way.
