iScout Player Recommendations - Free Transfers

This thread is intended as a place you can recommend players on a free transfer you have used in FMM21 and show how well they developed and performed for you. It is also a place where you can find recommendations for players you might not yet have used or even heard of before.

In order to make this thread as useful as possible please follow these guidelines when you post.

• The player must be on a free transfer at the start of the first season first season of the game (2020/21 season) or his contract runs out at the end of the 2020/21 season and can be signed for free then.
• Please post a screenshot of his attributes.
• Please provide some information such as what club you bought him for and what he and you have achieved together. You don’t need to do a long write up and screenshots on there own is ok.
• Please don’t post about a player you have edited the attributes, potential ability or current ability or because clearly he won’t perform as well for other people.
• No regens.
• Please keep posts to either recommendations or asking questions about a player so that other people don’t have to wade through lots of “banter” or general comments to find recommendations.

There seems to be a bug with a game, some players are released that shouldn’t be released in some games, Moriba still with Barca on mine.

Angelo Stiller got released on my save but I have a free transfer anyway so:

Nico Serrano 

Very good from last year haven't got far enough In to give a separate screenshot will update when I do o have a bagsie on him for an I scout now 😂

Ok. Those who know me best know that i love the freebies from game start and finding gems amongst the rocks.

Having spent the last hour or scouring the freebies ive got a neat little list of players that could potentially build a rather decent squad and/or atleast be quality back ups.

Some i have used before in 2020 but some of the current frees are crazy good.

Obviously depending on which leagues you load your list will be different.

I loaded England, Germany, Spain and Italy with all divisions selected.

Clearly a good majority of these players will improve with game time and access to decent to excellent training facilities and coaches.

i agree with you. Moriba is still in 2 years contract on Barca

I buy this man for 19M. And he's doing good, no megative from my scout reports.

Anyway, it seems Barcelona B released some players so you can get him (and even Ilaix Moriba if you're lucky) for free

Surely it's got to be a bug where we have so many basque/Spanish players as free agents, some of them even have empty career histories

It is a bug and SI are aware and working on it.

Yeah, I sort of think this is a bit pointless when many of the free transfers people are find are only free because of the bug, which will be fixed soon.

That said, I'll leave you all a name: Nico Serrano. Not only one of the hottest wonderkids in the game, but also without a club in the DB, so unlike the others, he doesn't start at a club and get released by the bug, he actually doesn't have a club. Not sure why that's the case (he seems to be at Athletic Bilbao in real life), so there is a chance SIGames will update that, but for now he really is a free agent.

Yeah I second this.

He has always been available for free in all of the saves I've played, even though he's with Athletic in real life (according to Transfermarkt).

I can 100% confirm it as I recently got my DB search tool working. 😄

He definitely has no club in the DB. Won't show you his PA as some people don't like that, but it's on the high side...

He was in mine. Ive noticed after a few weeks of the season big clubs release a load of young players.

I assure you he was a freebie on day 1 of my save. I think it was maybe a bug though.

I guess the bug isn’t for Spanish team only then

A lot of German and Spanish players get released, some are free from day one but as @Woody said some get released by clubs after a couple of weeks.

And some are released at the end of the first season, I got two Spanish wonder kids for free at the beginning of season 2.

Ok, hear me out. Picked him up as a back up to my young striker. Kept him for 2 months and he scored 5 from the bench in 6 games. Then I sold him for 4.9 mill to Cardiff. Good business!
