Well Done mate, a great achievement and a couple of seasons to spare, perhaps see if you can get to Ipswich before season 30 ends, the most easternly team unless Lowestoft have been promoted.

Many thanks @Rich @George Traistă @geordiekrispy @broodje kip @Paul186 and @Aortic - much appreciated!

To finish the challenge you have to play a season at the last club - might be worth amending in future @Ashezcos it's pointless really, I'd say the deed is done when you get that final job...

Anyway, sugar daddy didn't follow me this time but i did sell a winger for 200k to give me some wiggle room. I played a few games before realising i still had plenty more budget available - i was only spending 7k of the 11k weekly wage allowance. So i filled out the squad well with the balance, and we're crushing it. Normally I've been adding a screenshot showing the halfway stage, but this one actually shows the state of play after my first league loss:

So it looks like we'll end on a high :)

I'll come back to confirm, with a summary and final map included hopefully!

It's over! Season 28 is in the books, with some critics calling it "the greatest Vanarama National South season ever seen"...

547261664_Screenshot_20210214-212135_FM21Mobile.thumb.jpg.a211a57b07189bd3fe9d2c756e1f7921.jpg

My last game was a 6-2 win at Exeter, a satisfactory way to end! I know I'm close to 30 seasons here, but as there's not much to actually achieve from here, i simply can't be arsed :)

I will be back tomorrow (probably) with a summary of the career and the journey, and then a look at the state of the footballing world in 2048 later in the week...

For now, here's a look at my final Manager Profile:

1751349458_Screenshot_20210214-212903_FM21Mobile.thumb.jpg.2f119f16b0f5c983b1ed60913ce02fdd.jpg

Loyalty and Youth Policy were at 20 earlier in the season!! Plus my reputation was National - so i guess that VNS season really did make people sit up and take notice... Also worth noting my total income and outgoings :D

The final trophy cabinet:

2018131342_Screenshot_20210214-213024_FM21Mobile.thumb.jpg.d6f35c847306d105f3eae162feafde7e.jpg

No continental or global success this time - didn't even manage a single game in the EPL!

And for the sake of it, here's my All-Time XI, according to the game:

1714520880_Screenshot_20210214-212955_FM21Mobile.thumb.jpg.8e56c78712c18d256b42661897491f4a.jpg

Dominated by the Rose, which probably was my best spell at a club. Cannot for the life of me recall who the original Elgin dude was now :D

Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting - like i say, I'll be back later in the week with a full career summary. Let me know if you have any requests!

What a career! btw love the name of the left back, Lee Dee.

Well done mate, fantastic work, even with the patience of the Truro board.

Which Striker scored the most for you?

Thanks! Think it'll be McFadzean from Bonnyrigg, legend, although Rick Turner-Cooke at Northampton did superbly too. I'll knock it up and post it tomorrow 👍

Thanks to you too @George Traistă, much appreciated :)

Straight from Elgin FC to Truro FC are 666 miles so you only have done 107 longer trip... super efficient!

Now that you finally done it, the question is: would you do it again next year?

Just checked, it took nearly 246 hours of gameplay 😮 so maybe not...

As it stands I'd probably give it a rest, but i wouldn't rule it out. Depends on family, work, and other options within the game. I'm energised by my next career, but I'm going to focus any freetime for now into putting together all the good video clips of my little girl from the last year - it's long overdue and should be good fun, but it'll definitely take a couple of weeks, so it'll be a while until the new career is revealed ;)

Many thanks @Kaneganand @Rich - what can i say mate, we had some great years in Bonnyrigg Rose, Scotland's a lovely place...

Many thanks to everyone else too - as it stands this career has more than double the views of any other career so far this season, which hopefully isn't largely influenced by me pressing Refresh to juice the numbers...

As a last hurrah, let's see how the world of football looks 28yrs down the line... Starting with a little look at my exes:

20210215_202949.thumb.jpg.a8c27c689d839aaf43fb2852ef6d101a.jpg

It was great to see the three Scottish clubs stay in the top echelon after my departure :)

20210215_203359.thumb.jpg.6561017190610e1f12f97c686a6101bf.jpg

Turned those three English clubs around pretty well, and as for the fourth? Er...

20210215_203324.thumb.jpg.2a5db5205866d59a0eea8adf21332dde.jpg

Bit of a presentation bug there. Anyway, midtable in the Championship without me, not bad at all!

Elsewhere in UK

SPL - Rangers won 17 of the 28 titles, despite a barren spell of 5 winless years in the early 2030's... Celtic next of course with 8, while Aberdeen nipped 2 and Hearts grabbed one. Dundee Utd and wee Bonnyrigg Rose the only other clubs to break into the top two.

1619493509_Screenshot_20210215-194738_FM21Mobile.thumb.jpg.b1b7505ea5a3277c4dd4cba802306406.jpg20210215_202157.thumb.jpg.23a6ffab89d4a1f86fbd2541e7aa1809.jpg20210215_202137.thumb.jpg.ce78b8ca78a0f11dc89691d0755694c3.jpg

EPL - Man City with the best record, 10x 1st, 6x 2nd... Leicester 5x 1st, 9x 2nd... Liverpool 5 titles, 3x runners-up... Chelsea 4 titles, 6x runners-up... Man Utd one fluke, 2x silver medals... and you can see, the world is crumbling a bit by the end, with four different winners in the last four seasons, including Villa, Brighton and Wolves. Spurs even almost won one 😮

Obviously i could've counted Northampton and Weston-super-Mare here too, but they had my assistance :D

The fallers are more interesting though, of course!

Thanks again to everyone for joining me on the journey! As mentioned above, i have a plan for an interesting new career, hopefully, but it'll be a couple of weeks until it starts - i have to do some family stuff in the meantime :) All the best!

West Brom are well on the way to do that in real life as well, but at least we weren't the worst "west"!

And fair play to Bolton for turning things around, thats not going not happen in real life most likely.

Great journey and I enjoyed it all the way. Not surprised about Newcastle they seem to be bad in this edition of FMM, just took over Newcastle in the lower regions of the Championship. Looking forwatd to your next career.
